Monday Night Raw Review

Dedication

This weeks Raw review is dedicated to the memory of. Afa Anoai, his memory will never be lost on fans.

Superstars show up

Cm Punk. All the teams in the womens Tag Team Championship Match, and. Rhea, and. Priest, were all seen showing up to the arena.

Randy Orton Segment

Randy Orton kicked off the show, by welcoming us to WWE's flagship show. He spoke of how Gunther insulted his family, and legacy, but, before his promo could even get started. Gunther came out, he tells the fans in Fortlauderdale to shut up, he basked in the fact that Randy celebrated his RKO last week. A USA chant broke out, and. Gunther told him to enjoy what he did last week, because it won't happen again, because he's just a one trick pony, and at Bash In Berlin, he's going to leave him in a bloody mess. Randy said, when Gunther is on the way back to the States, he's going to have a boot shoved up his arse. Ludwig Kaiser then attacked Randy Orton, from behind, to end the segment.

Sheamus vs Pete Dunne

Sheamus, beat. Pete Dunne, in a solid tv match with a brogue Kick. I liked this.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods Segment

Xavier woods was left feeling like a left out sibling, at a birthday party, when Kofi brought in Odyssey Jones. This was amplified when they beat The Final Testement later on in the evening.

Ivy Nile vs Maxxine Dupri

This match ended in shenanigans, thanks to Chad not being able to keep his mouth shut. The Wyatt Sick came out, and attacked American Made. I've given American Made their own theme song, and it goes like this. American. American. American Made, f*** yeah. Chad Gable is going to lead the way. WWE your time is through, because now you have to answer to. American Made, f*** yeah. The Wyatts cleaned house, and that delightful fellow. Uncle Howdy, gave Chad a sister Abigail for good measures. I liked this.

The Terror Twins Segment

Rhea Ripley, and. Damian Priest, gave a stark threat to. The Human Oven, and. The Mulletchaser. The pair counteracted this, later on.

Cm Punk Segment

The Second City saint, wasted no time, in making. Fortlauderdale his new home, his passion was full display, and it was great to see, he talked about the new ethics of WWE, and why they starting to see a bigger uprise, and it's because of the fans, he was at the fanatics fest this past weekend, and the people that he met, were truly inspirational, from fans travelling to see him, to kicking a deadly disease in the ass, and then there's Drew Mcintyre, a man who he has a love/hate relationship with. He then confirmed, what I thought was going to happen, he challenged Drew to a strap match. Drew came out, and asks Punk, has he been drinking, because he accepts the challenge, but he wants to go to now. Punk said that's ok, just give him back the bracelet. Drew refused, and told him that his family would be better off with Drew, and not. Punk, both men then brawled.

Big Bronson Reed vs The Miz No DQ Match

Big Bronson Reed, beat. The Miz, in a solid No DQ match, and then had a stair down with Braun Strowman, in the aftermath.

Bron Breakker Segment

Bron Breakker, then told us, that there's going to be tournament, to crown a No1 contender for his Intercontinental Championship. Jey Uso announced himself as a contender, so it looks like Bron is gonna get this yeet down.

The Human Oven vs Damian Priest

This match never happened, because of all of the shenanigans involved, however all of this was fun to see.

Damage Ctrl vs Pure Fusion Collective vs Fyre and Dawn

Alba Fyre, and. Isla Dawn, retained there womens Tag Championships, in a flat match, that left me feeling nothing for these teams.

Randy Orton vs Ludwig Kaiser

I didn't like this. I thought it was flat, boring, and highly predictable, and at this moment in time, I'm thinking. Just get on with it. Randy got the win, and i'm feeling confused, because these two can do so much better.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw

I don't what to think about this weeks Raw. My mind has been left in a confusing mess, the in ring work was all over the place, whilst the promos were decent. In the words of Eric Cartman, this show has broken my fragile little mind.

AEW Collision

Intro

At this moment in time it's the early hours of Monady morning, and due to technical faults, caused by yours truly, I'm late writing this review, and my excitement for All In, next sunday, is now at a high level, the card looks great, and most importantly i'm heading to the meet up at the Boxpark in wembley the day before, so if you're friendly, come over and say hi.

Britt Baker vs Harley Cameron

Britt Baker, beat. Harley Cameron, in a decent opening encounter. Mercedes Mone, came out afterwards with Camille, and she got her henchwoman to do all of the damage. Britt tried to attack her with a kendo stick, but this was a complete failure, because. Camille battered her.

Arlington

I've said all that I need to say, about All In going to Arlington next year, if you read the intro to smackdown review. I think it's a great idea.

Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara vs Undisputed Kingdom ROH Tag Team Championship

I liked all of this. Dustin Rhodes is like that old family dog, that greets you, when you get home after a long day at work, and as for Sammy Guevara, well he's a bit like Scrappy Do, isn't he, the match was ok, and it had it moments, from Dustin pulling off a sick looking Canadian destroyer, and Sammy getting the win for his side, unfortunately the Triller tv feed, had issues over here in the UK, so I missed the shenanigans. Hey look, it's live tv, I mean what are you going to do.

AEW Stars

AEW Stars gave their thoughts, on who's going to win, the main event next Sunday, when Danielson faces Swerve. Here's my thoughts. It's going to be an honour to watch, as the match unfolds.

Chris Jericho Segment

Chris Jericho, then cut a promo, saying that on wednesday, when Dynamite goes to Cardiff, he wants to face Tommy Billington, because he knew his Uncle. Ok Chris, someone should have checked this over, before you said anything. Think it, don't say it.

Hologram vs Angelico

Hologram, beat. Angelico, in a fairly solid outing. Hologram is starting to grow on me.

Tigerdriver 91

AEW then did a piece, showcasing the danger of the Tigerdriver 91. This. Was perfectly done, and Will sold the look of terror perfectly. A wise frontman from of the greatest bands ever once said. Fear is how I fall. Never a truer word has ever been said.

Jack Perry vs Danny Orion

Jack Perry, then beat. Danny Orion, in a squash match, and in the aftermath, he went to the outside of the ring, and retrieved a bodybag with the word Darby on it, he placed Danny in it, with the old TNT Championship, he then showcased the belts new look, it's dark and black, just like his soul.

House Of Black and The Bang Bang Gang Segment

I liked this. It was edited to the point of perfection, and both teams got their points in. Christopher Daniels, the renta version of Adam Pearce, then said that at All In the Trios belts will be on the line, In a ladder match, and this week on Dynamite, another team will get the chance to enter the match. Sorry were are my manners, ( insert my families cockney accents here ) oi yoi f*** me, were getting a London Ladders match at All In, UP THE HAMM, no patrick, respect the cannon badge.

Claudio Castagnoli vs Lio Rush

Claudio Castagnoli, beat. Lio Rush, in an excellent match, this acted like a perfect tune up for Okada this wednesday.

Statlander and Hathaway Segment

Kris Statlander isn't scared of Tomohiro Ishii, but can someone check Stokeleys underwear, because I think they might tell a differant story.

Eddie Kingston Segment

Eddie Kingston, then cut a promo on Bryan Danielson, from his home. I love this man.

Marieh May and Toni Storm Combo

Marieh May, beat a local Jobber, and then. Toni Storm debuted her new Film. I think it's called. Tales Of A Crazy Person, I mean it's not. A Clockwork Orange. The Terminator. The Matrix, or even. Alien, but it'll do. If this is you're cup of tea, that is.

FTR vs The Aclaimed

I loved this match, The winner would go on to face The Young Bucks at. All In, this was a perfectly timed funfest. Both teams gave everything, in order to create magic. Max giving his thoughts before the match. Dax running on empty, towards the end of the match, to FTR becoming wrestling answer, to. Oprah Winfrey, by just handing out sharpshooters, the near falls elevated the drama, to the point, that the time ran out, the match ended in a time limit draw, a fight broke out between both teams, which forced Tony Khan to announce, that both teams will be involved, in the tag team Championship, at. All In, when. The Young Bucks will face. FTR, and. The Aclaimed in a triple threat match, for the Tag Team Championships.

Overview Of AEW Collision

This was a decent broadcast, minus the sound problems, that managed to take me away, from thinking about real life. I mean isn't that what it's all about.

This weeks AEW Collision is a solid 8/10

Smackdown Review 17.8.2024

Intro

over the past few days, the wrestling news cycle has been spinning, from a pathalogical liars health, being brought into guestion, to. AEW moving All In to Texas, for next years show. I think this is a clever move, when you look at the business metrics behind this years show, it makes perfect sense to move things around. Last year. AEW managed to fill 72.000 fans into Wembley Stadium, the show was a tremendous success, garnering over a 9 million pound gate, however, this year, they've sold over 50.000 tickets. Yes the sales are down from last year, and tribalistic fans will salivate at the thought of another company failing, but let's be honest. Absence will make the business stronger, because when you can't have something, it makes it more appealing.

Friday Night Smackdown

Tiffany Stratton Nia Jax Celebration

I loved all of this. From Tiffany's hideous decour. Nia being carried out, like the queen she is, to. Pretty Deadly debuting. Pretty Deadly The Musical. Nia put over how she beat Bayley at Summerslam, she hated the decour, and told Tiffany that she prefers destructiion. Yeah. I agree, the decour looked like, a. Mr Kipling Angel Cake, and Pretty Deadly sounded out of tune, oh well at least Michin attacked Nia with a Kendo stick. She's now got herself a WWE Womens Championship match at a later date. This pissed off. Chelsea Green, and. Piper Niven. Nia beat her down later on. Bow down to the Queen indeed.

Naomi. Jade Cargill. Bianca Belair Segment

Naomi. Jade Cargill, and. Bianca Belair, were backstage, and they bumped into Carmelo Hayes, who was trying to get these ladies to go to his after party, when he beats Andrade. Naomi, then lost to Blair Davenport in a solid tv match.

Andrade vs Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo Hayes, beat. Andrade in a solid tv match, and arguably their best so far,

The Bloodline Segment

Tama Tonga, and. Solo Sikoa, were backstage, going over plans for Roman, this would be act as a pre causer for what came later.

Giovani Vinci Segment

Giovani Vinci had another vingnette, and as these continue. I'm convinced WWE are trying create their own version of Andrew Tate, basically, a smug dickhead.

RIP Afa Anoai

Yesterday. The world was saddened to hear the news of the passing, of. Afa Anoai. From me at. Exstreme Wrestling Reviews. I would like to send out my thoughts, and Prayers, to his family, and friends. His impact will always be felt.

Kevin Owens vs Grayson Waller

Kevin Owens, beat. Grayson Waller in a decent tv match. Theory, and. Waller then tried to beat Kevin down in the aftermath, causing Cody Rhodes, to come out and make the save, the pair, then had an interesting show of respect.

Legado Delfantasma Dinner Segment

Legado Delfantasma, went over thier plans for LA Knight, whilst eating dinner. LA Knight then answered this back later in style. Yeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah.

The Street Profits vs DIY

The Street Profits, beat. DIY, to become the no1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship. I don't think The Profits, want this new Bloodline smoke.

The Bloodline Segment

I loved this segment. Solo came out, he tried to get the fans in orlando to acknowledge him, but they were having none of it, so he called out his cousin. Roman came out to a kings pop, and he instantly went into business, by battering his family members, Tama, and solo counteracted this, but Roman got Solo with a Superman Punch, and a Sphere. Roman placed the Hulafala on his head, only to be attacked by a returning Jacob Fatu. Solo took the Hulufala back, as they stood over a fallen Tribal Chief, to end the broadcast.

Overview Of Friday Night Smackdown

With the in ring action, being performed at a mid pace, and the promos becoming the highlight of the show. This. Was. Again was another solid show.

This weeks Friday Night Smackdown is a decent 7/10.

AEW Dynamite Review 15.8.2024

Intro

Ok everyone sing it with me. You know we belong together, I will love Tony Khans little promotion that can, forever, and ever. I'm walking on air, just to know, an alternative is there. Let's all hold them in our arms, and don't let them go. I want them to be around forever. Closer each day. AEW is better than Home And Away, enjoy. Australia, because it looks you're getting an AEW PPV. Enjoy it. Drink it in, and get excited. Alf Stewart vs Chris Jericho sounds bonza, doesn't it. I don't think other countries, will have a clue what i'm on about.

Mercedes Mone vs Hikaru Shida TBS Championship

I. Thought this was a slog to get through, bare in mind I watched this at 6.30 in the am. It felt like both ladies, were feeling each other out, it took a while for it to get going, and the match suffered as a result. Mercedes retained, thanks to camile battering a sting lookalike, this allowed Britt Baker to attack Mercedes from behind, to end the segment.

Hangman Adam Page vs Jay Lethal

The only way I can describe this, is by inserting everyones. Rod, and. Todd Flanders voice. What would you prefer, a happy Hangman or an angry Hangman? Happy Hangman. Yeah, he battered Lethal here, and it was great.

MJF Segment

I liked all of this, from his appearance at RevPro, from this past weekend. To Will Osperay having his say, whilst the realisation sunk in. Max is in the UK, lord help us all. How are you doin Ollie Davis? Max is making you sweat isn't he.

Pac wants Wembley

Pac can't have a Wembley moment, but don't worry, he'll meet the winner of the American Championship at All Out.

Darby Allin Segment

Darby Allin, then spoke facts, he said that Jack Perry, doesn't have know the meaning of. Hardwork. Sacrifice, and. being himself, because he got signed by his friends. Darby then made his way to the stage, and he got attacked, by the burrito loving Scapegoat. The pair brawled backstage. Perry tried to commit murder on live tv, refs and security, tried to stop Perry, and when they finally did, Perry said that he wants their match at All In to be a coffin match. Tony Khan made this official later on.

Marieh May Segment

Marieh May, then did her best Sharon Stone impersonation, that's all I have to say about this segment.

Orange Cassidy vs Roderick Strong vs Kyle O'reilly

Orange Cassidy, beat. Roderick Strong, and. Kyle O'reilly, in a solid tv match, he will be the first entrant in the Casino Gauntlet match, at. All In.

Castagnoli and Okada Segment

Ok, even though this segment, was a bit short. I'm starting to think the Cardiff Dynamite, is starting to look good.

Christian Cage Segment

Christian Cage, then said what his career goals are, the first one, become a Kenny Omega impersonator, and collect belts, and the other one, a motivational speaker, he started off by saying that Renee Paquette is a bad mum. What a nice guy. I love this man.

Hook Segment

Tony Schiavone, then interviewed Hook, everyones favourite one eyed bandit came out, and he called out Chris Jericho, for a fight, there and now. Chris came out, and he refused the fight, but instead, he said, would you like a tussle at Wembley Stadium. Hook accepted, but Chris had a couple tricks up his sleeve, the first one. If he lost, then Hook will never be able to challenge for the FTW Championship again, oh, and next week, he has to face Big Bill.

The Young Bucks vs The Aclaimed

The match was decent, but the outcome was lazy. The Physicality, and chemistry, was great from both sides, but the match being thrown out, due to interference from FTR, and the fact that, the fake Adam Pearce, had to step in, and make a no1 contenders match for Collision, just felt lazy.

Bryan Danielson Vingnette

I thought this an emotional rollercoaster, I went from joy, to sadness, to overwhelming happiness in a matter of minutes. The thought of him wrestling on a reduced schedule is something i've never thought about, until now, the footage from his ROH days, to all of this being soundtracked beautifully, by the band that I spent £100 on seeing, at the same venue as All In back in june. Simply put. I loved all of this.

Wheeler Yuta vs Swerve Strickland

Swerve Strickland, beat. Wheeler in a decent main event, from Danielson sitting at ringside, to poor old Yuta becoming collateral damage, after Swerve battered him for the finish. Swerve then cut a promo on Danielson, as Yuta's mentor stepped in the ring. Swerve gave Danielson, the. Hangman Adam Page treatment, and threatened to murder him in front of his family, this was a great way to end the broadcast.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite

All in all. This. Was, a very uneven episode of weekly tv, but did the good outweigh the bad, well. if i'm honest. Yes, but just about.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a good 7/10.

The Rise And Fall and Rise Again Of Cm punk

Intro

Real is a word that gets taken as a poisoned challice, in the world of Pro Wrestling, however, when you look at a character like Cm punk, the study is a fascinating look into the eyes of an underdog. His WWE exit would send shockwaves through the wrestling industry, and the aftershocks, are still felt, until this day.

Pettiness And hardship

In the following months that followed Punks exit from the WWE, would spell controversy and confusion, in the later days of 2014, he would appear on Colt Cobana's Art Of Wresatling Podcast. He reflected on his time in the company, whilst claiming this to be an honest talk, and not a shoot, this was a bare bones insight, into how a performer feels, when their back is being forced into a corner, but there was legal ramifications came with this, that would see the end of a friendship. Punk would label  WWE medic Dr Amann, as imcompatent, from being made to work whilst hurt, this would lead to some nasty legal backfire. WWE tried to sue Punk and Cobana, and the pair counteracted this. Punk flipped the bill for this, and when he stopped. Cobana sued his friend. Punk counter sued, but this dropped, when details of Cobana's living situaion, became known. A friendship had dissolved, for the world to see. Their friendship never recovered.

UFC

In the later part of 2014, it was announced that Cm Punk had signed with the MMA giant, the. UFC. As a big UFC fan, his two fight stint, could only be described, as a colossal failure, his stock had plummeted, and his perception was made even worse, when after his defeat to Mickey Gill at UFC 202, he cut a wrestling style promo in the octagon, and this would alienate fans. Punks business ventures would cross into the world of comic books, he lend his talents to Marvels Shang-Chi. Drax, and. Thor series, and Vertigo's Strange Stories. This would be met with a varied amount of success.

The First Dance

The year was 2020, the world had been chucked into a state of panic, and chaos, as the global pandemic, had taken a solid grip on society, as the world was told by health experts, to stay at home, it was at this time, when Netflix unveiled The Last Dance Documentary Series, in which the 98 season of The Chicago Bulls NBA team was put under a compulsive microscope. One year before this would debut, a renegade wrestling company would debut. AEW. In October of 2019 their flagship tv show Dynamite would debut on TNT, and would go head to head with With WWE NXT, in the what would be called the Wednesday Night Wars, but as AEW's success within the first year of being on air, would see the a glance of positivity, that would turn into a ground swelling move, that the wrestling world hasn't seen before, and it was at this time, that sections of the internet, would ask the question. What if the voice of the voiceless, came back to the industry, that he grew to despise? This would become a reality. Aew throughout the month of June. July, and. August, of 2021, would lay out small Easter Eggs, as the motion of his return would start to take shape, and on the 20th of August. AEW Rampage, came live from The Allstate Arena in Chicago. Punk was back, he had returned to the industry, that had taken lots from him. The emotion, was written all over his face, as the fans embraced him, back into the family, but it was his new found family that would let him down.

AEB

Punk was back in wrestling, and the world was starting to get back to some sort of normality, however. AEW was hitting it's stride, and giving fans something new, that was satisfying on a new level, however backstage issues and politics, would air its nasty head. AEW was also the home of Scott Colton, aka. Colt Cabana, this in my opinion would act, as a catalyst for what was going to happen. In Punks debut year, he would go on to have feuds, with the likes of Eddie Kingston. Hangman Adam Page, and of course his legendary run with MJF. The MJF feud would turn Max into a Star, whilst Scott Colton, was relegated to Tony Khans newly purchased ROH promotion, this would cause confussion, and, crossed wires. On the 25th 2002 of may edition of Dynamite. Page would cut a promo on Punk, that would start a verbal fire, as issues from  backstage, had started to play out in front of the world. Hangman had got his wires crossed, and thought that Scott had been let go. This was a marriage of misconduct, from all parties involved. Punk won their Championship, at that years Double Or Nothing, however he would injury his foot, during a trios match, when he was teaming with FTR. This would poor petrol on an already lit fire, when rumours about The Elite selling Stories adout him, would get leaked to the dirt sheets. I think this happened from day one, and if that's the case, then jealousy is a nasty thing. In his time off, due to injury. Punks anger would form, and when he returned in late August of that year, he let his feelings known, calling. Hangman Adam Page a Coward. Punk  then entered a programme against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. Punk would win the belt in his home state of Chicago, at that years All Out PPV, and in the media scrum afterwards, he went all out scorched earth, as he verbally layed into The Elite, and the Company, this would start a fight, which is now known as Brawl Out. The Young Bucks, and. Kenny Omega kicked in Punks dressing room door, and a fight ensued, suspensions were handed out, and this left a blackeye on Tony Khans business. This is something that I feel could've been avoided, all involved were to blame in my opinion, and if Tony Khan had implented a better strategy, when it came to dealing with the media, things could have been sorted, but instead things got to the point were festering feelings, had become normality.

Firings And Fallouts

Nine months had passed since Brawl Out, and. AEW was getting ready to launch their new Saturday night show Collision. This. Was seen, as a big deal. Aew's tv deal with Time Warner was growing, and the impending return of a ice cream bar loving Chick Magnet, was on the horizon, however there were road blocks. Punk had told Tony Khan that he would only come back, if his friend Ace Steel could write his parts, clear deliberation then took place, and the head of Time Warner David Zaslof, and. Tony Khan, then put the wheels in motion, and. Punk would return for the first broadcast of the show, on the 17th of june 2023. This Summer was turn out to be an important turning for Tony Khan. AEW All In would be his company's first trip to these shores, and with Wembley Stadium being the destination, all of the wrestling worlds eyes would be looking at this show, with tribalistic fans, waiting for a sign, of a downfall, and, well they got it. The backstage situation during this time, was reported as toxic, and with a lack of leadership, things went array. Jack Perry wanted to do a stunt, in which he would plant his fist through a car window, using real glass, this got shot down, by agents, but then in came Cm punk, and things got worse. In my opinion, this had nothing to do with Punk, and he should've stayed out of it. Fast forward to the 27th of August. Wembley Stadium. Jack Perry did a spot in his match against Hook, in Which. Hook was planted back first onto a car widscreen, he then walked over to the camera, and uttered the words. It's real glass cry me a river. Punk, and Perry would get into a scuffle backstage, this would be see punk exit the company, as he and Perry would both be suspended. Punk was fired, as an air of confusion started to grow.

The Rise

Punk would stay quiet for at least 8 months, and by this point, he had already returned back to the WWE, at last years Survivor Series, which would cause the internet to suffer a meltdown, as tribalistic views continued to seep into the industries dna. Aew struggled to answer to this. The week of WrestleMania. Punk did an interview with Ariel Helwani, for his MMA hour podacst, and he laid bare what really happened at Wembley, he said that he shoved Perry a bit, and put him in a headlock, whilst saying  that Tony Khan, was not a boss, just a nice guy. Adam copeland, then went out on Dynamite, just over 24 hours after, and gave his best version of a ra ra speach, in a vain hope to tell fans, don't worry everything's ok. AEW the following week would then show the footage, and. Tony Khan came off looking like a petchulant child. Punks recent match, at the time of writing, was when he faced Drew Mcintyre at Summerslam, in a match that's divided fans, personally I liked it, but I get why some fans are divided, his lack of ring time due to injuries, is concerning, but from my perspective, with age, comes worry, and with worry comes ring rust, we as fans can't possibley comprehend that, because with Cm Punk, there comes controversy, and with controversy, creates cash, never a truer word has ever been spoken.

AEW Collision Review

Apologies

Ok, guys I'm going to have to apologise, for the lateness of this review. If you're living here in the UK, then you can understand, that were cooking, and after doing a full day in my day jod yesterday. I just wanted to take some time to myself, so I'm going to give this to you a day later, once again my apologies.

Darby Allin and Hologram vs The Premier Athletes

Ok. I think The premier Athletes would be proud of me this week, Whilst I was watching their match, against Darby Allin and Hologram. I ate a fruit, and not my usual of 2, packs of more to share Malteasers. The match was solid, and watchable. Darby, and. Hologram got the win, with a roll up, and one other thing. I love Smart Mark Sterling.

Thunder Rosa vs Deonna Purrazzo Texs Bull Rope match

This. Was, a, bloodsoaked, chaotic, fun ride, I loved all of this. Thunder Rosa came away victorious. This. Was my match of the weekend. You need to go out of your way to watch this.

FTR vs The Outrunners

FTR, beat. The Outrunners, in a fun match. You need to go and watch The Outrunners vingnette beforehand, because it's great.

Kip Sabian Segment

Am I the only person, who wants Kip Sabian to batter Nick Wayne, and to be honest. I don't blame him, the pair will meet on Rampage.

MJF Segment

MJF, cut a great promo after his match, this past wednesday, from Dynamite. He's in my country at the minute, lord help us.

Rush vs Preston Vance

Rush, beat. Preston Vance, in a decent tv match, and the only thing I could think of was. That's for Negitive One.

Jack Perry Segment

AEW, then reaired Jack Perry's segment from this past wednesday, and you know what, I'm hungry. I could murder a Taco Bell right about now.

Swerve Strickland vs Tomohiro Ishii Open Challenge

Swerve Strickland, beat. Tomohiro Ishii, in a solid Open Challenge match. This. Was a well booked, and crafted exhibition piece. I'm so pleased that I'm going to be able to see The Stone Pitbull, at. Wembley.

Claudio Castagnoli Segment

Claudio Castagnoli, and. Okada in Cardiff. How much does train travel from London to Cardiff cost. I'm not joking. I might call in sick for work.

Kris Statlander and Stokeley Hathaway

Ok. I loved this segment. Because it was so ridiculous. Lexi Nair, presented this segment. She showed them the footage from Rampage, this focused on how Willow has good values, whilst. Stokeley, and. Statlander, don't. Stokeley acted like a martyr, when Lexi tried to tell stokeley that he's in a match at Wembley, but he did his best Homer Simpson denial impersonation. And when the penny dropped he hated this development. Kris Statlander, then said that they accept Willows challenge for a match at Wembley. Her, and. Stokeley, vs her, and. Tomohiro Ishii. I love this development. Like I said earlier. I can't wait to see The Stone Pittbull, at. Wembley.

MXM and Top Flight Segment

Top Flight vs MXM in the battle of, who's the most stylish, oh go on then AEW if you must.

Hikaru Shida vs Aleah James

Hikaru Shida, beat. Aleah James in a squash match. Aleah James, working stateside, all I have to say about is this, if you work hard enough, you can achieve anything. Shida then called out Mercedes Mone, for a match this wednesday, for her TBS Championship.

JR Sits Down With Bryan Danielson

From blessings. Humble beginings, and health worries. This. was a facinating look into the eyes of a contender, and now for the elephant in the room. JR looked terrible, and like I've said before, this man needs looking after. I'm not trying to be mean, and I know he's faced his fair share of health issues of late. I'm just concerned. That's all.

The Bang Bang Gang vs The House Of Black

There was a lot riding on this match, from the good phy sicality, to. Christian Cage having the match thrown, when sphered Buddy Matthews. I knew something like this would happen, when Cage was announced as the special guest referee. I see what you did there AEW, so they've given up taking swipes at Cm Punk. I wasn't a fan of the finish, my god it was bad.

Overview Of AEW Collision

I liked this. In my opinion this was the best of the arlington shows, the action flowed nicely, and the segments didn't out stay there welcome.

This weeks Collision is a solid 8/10.

Friday Night Smackdown Review 10.8.2024

Dedication

Ok, guys i'm going to do something that I rarely do. This Friday Night Smackdown is dedicated to. Kevin Sullivan, his mind, and talent will always be missed. RIP to the taskmaster.

Cody Rhodes Segment

Cody Rhodes kicked off the broadcast, in the only he knows how, by basking in the admoration of the fans, he spoke about, asking, what happens next? He has someone in mind, who he would like to face at Bash In Berlin, for the Undisputed Championship, but, before he could get a word out. Solo Sikoa walked out, being flanked by his gaggle of p****s, he said that he would be champion, if it wasn't for Roman, and told Cody told, that he wants a rematch, but, Cody wasn't budging, and told Solo that he's delusional, if he thinks he's getting another shot at his belt, because he couldn't get the job done, when he had the chance, at the behest of his own family. Kevin Owens comes out, just when Solo's group of hyenas, started to gather around the ring. The Bloodline backed off, and. Solo told Cody, that he wasn't done with him, but first he has to deal with Roman. Cody then called Kevin into the ring, and offered him a chance, to face cody at Bash In Berlin. Kevin sold the look of confliction, he declined his offer, because he felt that he hasn't earnt it. Cody, told. Kevin, to listen to the fans, they were chanting. You deserve it, in unison. Cody told him, that he's going to talk to Nick Aldis, to make this official. Later on both men were seen talking to Nick, he was going to give the shot to Roman, this angered Kevin. Nick agreed with Cody, and made the match for. Bash In Berlin. I liked all of this.

Atown Down Under vs The Street Profits Tag Team Tournament

The Street Profits, beat. Atown Down Under, in a solid tv match. Austin Theory, later on put his foot in his mouth, when he got Nick Aldis, to put. Grayson Waller in a match against Kevin Owens next week.

Tiffany Stratton Segment

Tiffany Stratton, was backstage, starting her new side project, becoming a party planner. She was trying to organise. Nia's Championship celebration, for next week, when she was interrupted by Pretty Deadly, who asked if she would like to audition for Pretty Deadly the musical, this went down like a led balloon. Chelsea Green, and. Piper Niven, who wasted no time in acting like schoolyard bullies, by attacking Tiffany's dress sense, and calling her untrustworthy. Pretty Deadly the musical, is something I need to see.

Jade Cargill vs Alba Fyre

Jade Cargill, beat. Alba Fyre. In a flat tv match. Blair Davenport, then came out and attacked Jade. Naomi came out to make the save.

LA Knight Segment and Santos Escobar vs Andrade

LA Knight was out next, and he was in a jovial mood, he said that it felt great stomping on Logan Paul, last week at Summerslam, he's the champ, he's made it, and he has an understanding that he's now a marked man, he then said, that he hit it and quit when it came to Logan, and now, he can't stop being the champion. He was then greated by Santos Escobar, both men had a decent promo dual, as the fans told Santos what they thought of him, by chanting. You suck in unison. Santos would then face Andrade in a No1 contenders match, for Knights United States Championship. This. Was brilliant. The match flowed like a fine wine, and both men showcased their great chemistry. Yes, there were shenanigans, courtesy of. Corbin, and. Crews, taking out. Angel, and. Humberto, to an appearance from Carmelo Hayes, who caused the finish, when, he distracted Andrade. This would allow Santos, to roll him up for the win. I liked all of this.

DIY vs Pretty Deadly Tag Team Tournament

DIY, beat. Pretty Deadly in a standard tv match, with their shatter machine finisher. This was decent, also. DIY's walkthrough camera shot promo, was great.

The Bloodline Segment

This. Was. Excellent, from the promise, to its execution. Solo came out, and instantly got the fans to acknowledge him, he then wasted no time, in calling out Roman Reigns, by saying that if he wants his hulafala, then he's going to have to come and get it. Roman comes out, and instantly, Solo orders his Hyenas to feed. Roman proceeds to take all of them out, all whilst Solo looked like a pitbull, who got caught stealing the last biscuit. Roman gave him a superman punch, he picks up the hulafala, but it got taken away from him by. Tama Tonga, and. Tonga Loa. Roman deals with Tama, and then proceeds to beat the hell out of Tonga Loa, as Solo walked back up the ramp.

Overview Of Friday Night Smackdown

I liked this weeks show. The resurgence of Roman Reigns, was teased perfectly, and the rest of the show fell into place from there.

This weeks Friday Night Smackdown is a solid 8/10.
