 My Top 5 Eddie Guerrero

Intro

I've been waiting to write this list for quite some time, because it's all about lying, cheating, and, stealing. As you can tell i'm a big fan of the man known as. Latino Heat, better known as. Eddie Guerrero, over the years his matches have still been able to capture my imagination, and even though he left us at the young age of 38, his impact is still felt on the industry, and how wrestlers work today. These are. My Top 5 Eddie Guerrero matches

5 Eddie Guerrero vs Edge Smackdown 26th Of December 2002.

As the years have gone on, this match has become an underrated classic, both men had fantasic chemistry, and this match showcased, as the violence allowed the story of the match, to gain in depth. This match needs to get it's flowers.

4 Eddie Guerrero vs Jeff Hardy Smackdown 1st Of June 2000.

Watching wrestling in my pre-teens, was a joy, and this match is a great example of that. Eddie was in his prime, and Jeff was an upstart, who had made his name being part of a tag with his brother. Both mens chemistry oozed out from the canvas on this night.

3 Eddie Guerrero vs Dean Malenko ECW 21st of July 1995.

This match, is a must watch, if you're a fan of technical wrestling. Move by move, and counter by counter, this match is perfect.

2 Eddie Guerrero vs Juvetude Guerra WCW Nitro 8th Of March 1998.

If you were a fan of WCW in the late nineties, then, you would be aware, that the multi-millionaire main eventers, were oversaturating the product, and it was starting to show in the weekly ratings, but if you paid attention to the midcard, you would be treated to a fine conveyor belt of talent, from across the globe. Juvetude, and. Eddie wanted some of main attention, and given the way that the company was going, putting on the best show they can, was the only way to do it. This match is an underrated gem, and a must watch, if you're a fan of Mexican Flare.

1 Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio WCW Halloween Havoc 1997.

I'm not going to go into too much detail about this match, because in reality. It's a masterpiece, and a must watch.

Monday Night Raw Review 22.10.2024

Intro.

As WWE's latest verse into sport washing comes even closer. The build is starting to come along nicely. Gunther vs Cody, is looking tasty, and. Nia vs The Mulletchaser, is an intriguing affair, that on paper could work. Under HHH reign, the Saudi shows have been treated with an extra layer of respect, and even though I don't agree with sport washing. I'm not going to slam Saudi Arabian fans, who don't get the chance to see their favourite superstars, because as a lifelong wrestling fan. I have learnt over the years, that gloating is an ugly human trait, that should hold no weight, in the wrestling world.

No Ordinary Superstars Showing Up Segment.

Jey Uso. Bron Breakker. Rey Mysterio, and. Dragon Lee, and. Bronson Reed, were all seen showing up to the venue. Seth Rollins attacked Bronson, as he was turning up. Seth went out to the ring, and called out Big Bronson. Both men had a fight, that security tried to pull apart, but they failed. Big Bronson tried to put Seth away with a tsunami, but, he ended up going through the announcers table. I liked this. Security got manhandled, and. Adam Pearce was pissed off with the pair of them, so he gave them what they wanted. A match at Crown Jewel. Pearce mate, go and have a beer. I think you've earnt it.

Damage Ctrl Segment.

Damage Ctrl, challenged. The Mulletchaser, and. Raquel Rodriguez to a match later on, after they interrupted. Iyo, and. Kairi's interview segment. The match was later thrown out. When Lash Legend, and. Jakara Jackson, from NXT got involved. Rhea came out to make the save, she attacked. The Mulletchaser. Raquel Rodriguez ate a headbutt sandwich, and. The Human Oven, was almost made an example of. I married this together, because it was all terrible. The Judgement Days, new clubhouse looks weird, also. One day Gunther is going to kill The Human Oven, he will face a former Heavyweight Champion next week.

Tag Team Tournament The New Day vs AOP.

I didn't like this. This shenanigans led match, was a farce, and a waste of time. The New Day won. The Miz, who was at ringside, got attacked by R Truth, and. The Wyatt Sick, targetted. The Final Testement.

Tag Team Tournament Match LWO vs American Made.

Finally something good has happened, on this so far, drab episode of weekly tv. Rey Mysterio, and. Dragon Lee, advance to the next round of the tournament, after beating American Made, in a fun match. Zelina gave Chad the shoe treatment, and you know what that means, he messed up.

Gunther Segment.

Gunther, told. Kathy Kelly, that he will see Cody on Smackdown this Friday. Damian Priest then said, that he wants another piece of Gunther, when he's done with Cody. I liked this.

Bron Breakker vs Jey Uso Ic Championship match.

I had a lot of fun watching this at 7.30am, here in the UK, from the good physicality that was on display, to the family dynamics, becoming the vocal point of the story, when. Solo, and his Bloodline turned, and helped Jey Lose, what was his. Jakub, and. Bron had a stair down, that teased something for the future, as. Adam Pearce had the Tonga brothers escorted from the arena, allowing Bron to take advantage of a weakened Uso, who had been Back dropped onto the announcers table, by his cousin Jakub. Bron gave him a sphere, and is now a two time Intercontinental Champion.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw

This weeks Raw, like I have said plenty of times in the past, resembled a confusing bag of Pick'n Mix, you eat the sweats you like, and leave the ones you don't.

This weeks Monday Night Raw is a 6/10.

My Top 5 AEW Mistakes

intro

AEW are producing my favourite weekly TV, in terms of Pro wrestling at this minute, but they're also not perfect, and they have made some pretty big mistakes over the years.

5 The Booking of Jay white In 2023

How do you take one of the worlds best talents, and then drop the ball on him? this is a question, that I keep coming back to, when it comes to Jay White. Now, don't get me wrong. I love White as a single wrestler. I just don't think that teaming him with The Gunns, and. Juice Robinson, did anything to help him, and placing him in a pointless feud with MJF, that was laced with anti semitism, wasn't a good move.

4 Tony Khan on X

Tony Khan is an interesting paradox, when you look at Wrestling promoters, he isn't perfect, not by any stretch, however over the past year, his X game, has calmed down, because when the year kicked off, he was a hot mess of fire, that was hell bent on bringing down the world, one tweet at a time.

3. 2023 booking.

AEW's booking in 2023, yeah. It didn't always slap that hard did it. It was clear that Tony Khan needed help.

2 His Attitude Towards Chris Jericho.

It's no secret that i'm not a big fan of Chris Jericho, and this all started after the Worlds End PPV press conference, when he asked by the press, has Chris Jericho ever been investigated for sexual misconduct, he said that he wasn't going to be delving into online rumours. I think these rumours are true, and the man Chris tries to portray on tv. doesn't match the person who he is out of the ring.

1 The Hiring Of Ric Flair

In late 2021, an episode of Darkside Of The Ring, focused on the outright debauchery that took place on a flight taking WWE superstars, back to the States. This lives in infamy for all the wrong reasons, as tales of harressment, and sexual assault, came to light. Ric Flair was accused of assault by an airline stewardness, after he backed her into a corner, at the time. AEW was considering bringing in Flair, to be Andrade El Idolo's manager, but these plans were cancelled, after the alligations came to light. He was brought in as part of Stings retirement, in 2023 and it was met with wide condemnation, especially when back in 2020, AEW released, an suspended, individuals, when accusations came to the forefront, during the speaking out movement of that year. If you do your research. Flair is an individual who we need to talk about, because conversations need to be had.

My Top 5 Underrated Wrestling Matches

Intro

What is the definition, of the word underrated? To me the answer is simple. It means. A match that has gone under the radar, but due to education surrounding the industry, has been looked at in a differant light. Here are my top examples of this.

5 Kenny Omega vs El Hiro Del Vikingo AEW Dynamite 22nd Of March 2023.

This. Was one of the best TV matches from last year, and in my opinion, it went heavily under looked. Omega had another year in ring, working for Tony Khans little promotion, and this was a highlight, in my opinion.

4 Bret Hart vs Mr Perfect Intercontinental Championship Summerslam 1991.

The only thing I can say about this match, is this. It's simply perfect, and is essential viewing.

3 Bret Hart vs A Monster WCW Nitro 1999.

Bret Hart, lived by the monicker. The Best There Is. The Best There Was. And The Best There Ever Will Be, and this match was his way of getting younger talent over, this would come at the behest of older talent, holding younger talent down. This. Match is sublime viewing. But unfortunately due to his opponents actions eight years later. The Monster would be banished from all memory by the WWE.

2 Kurt Angle vs The Monster WrestleMania 17.

This. Is a technical clinic, that needs to beholded as a classic, but due to the actions of The Monster, that would come six years later. This. Match now gets looked at in a differant light, and I get why.

1 Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerro WCW Halloween Havoc 1997.

This. Is in the list of my favourite wrestling matches ever, but nowadays, it gets overlooked, and that's a shame, because these guys had incredible chemistry, and their physicality was never matched by anyone else. I love this match.

Top 5 Songs That Have Shaped my Wrestling Fandom

Intro

Music has been called the great cummunicater, and the right song, being played at the right time, can trigger the emotions, and spark something in your mind. Wrestling is no differant, in my opinion, whether it's live performances, or me soundtracking my life. Music is very important to me.

5 Jelly Roll Higher Than Heaven.

I'm going to start with something new, and a bit of a weird one, because not many people know that I love Country music. This song is the embodiment of achieving your dreams. The themes of addiction, and mental health, are something that can't be ignored. How does this coincide with Wrestling, well, let me tell you something. Writing is my addiction, and I decided to go down this path, at a difficult time in my life.

4 Points Of Authority Linkin Park.

Agh yes my teen years. The years that formulted my adult years. If you were a wrestling fan in these times, then you could soundtrack any wrestling show, with Linkin Parks music. It's safe to say that this band saved my life, and this song is the Embodiment of what the WWF was like, from the years of 1998-2001. Forfit the game before somebody else takes you out of the frame, is the definition of winning a championship belt.

3 Valley Of Chrome Cypress Hill.

I'm a massive Cypress Hill fan, and when I used train in Karate, this would be my ultimate training jam. The amount of times I punched people in the face, to this music. I lost count.

2 Pantera Cowboys From Hell.

Ok. I'm just going to get this out of the way. I don't agree with the stupid, and idiotic things that Phil Anselmo has said over the years. I love this band. Cowboys From Hell, is a standout track, to the point that, if it was released in the early noughties, and not the early nineties, this wouldn't look out of place, as background music, for a WWE PPV. Wrestling, and. Heavy Metal music, have always gone hand in hand. Heavy Music is a massive part of my life, and this track, would be my walk out music, from back in the day, if I was a Pro Wrestler.

1 Limp Bizkit My Way.

Nowadays I'm not the biggest fan of Limp Bizkit, but if you were a fan of the WWF back in 2001, then you'll have memories of this song, being the main soundtrack for WrestleMania 17, an epic promo video, using this track acted to bring my excitement, up to a whole new level. This is the perfect example of great soundtracking, creating everlasting memories.

AEW Collision Review

 Apology

I'm starting off this review, by saying. My apologies for the fact, there was no Smackdown review this week. This. Was. Due, to my day job needing my full attention. I love the fact, that I can come on here, and give you guys something, that I have poured my energy, and enthusiasm into, so having to take a break due to my day jod, at times will be needed. You guys know that I love the fact, that you guys check me out, and It never gets taken forgranted.

Jon Moxley Promo.

I can understand why some people may not like this act. But, if i'm honest. I find Jon Moxley, and his crew to be, unnerving, yet enthralling, and his promo here, was sublime, from its promise, to its execution. I loved this.

Ricochet vs AR Fox.

I liked this. It was a lofi slow burner, that turned into a physical melting pot, from both mens movesets, counteracting each others perfectly, to the physicality, being performed with grace. Ricochet got the win, and went straight into Calling out Konosuke Takeshista, he said that he will be ready, and whoever Takeshista is with, he will face them, and become the new AEW International Champion. So far, so good.

Daniel Garcia And Private Party Segment.

Daniel Garcia, and. Private Party, cut a promo on Jon Moxley, and. The Elite, this was decent stuff.

Kris Statlander vs Harley Cameron.

Kris Statlander, beat. Harley Cameron, in a flat TV match, and then called out Camille, the pair will face each other, in two weeks time, at the Dynamite Fright Night.

Daniel Garcia And Private Party vs The Premier Athletes.

Daniel Garcia, and. Private Party, beat. The Premier Athletes in a decent, but uneventful TV match.

Orange Cassidy vs Bronson.

Orange Cassidy, beat. Bronson of The Iron Savages, in a shenanigans led TV match. This. Was, a mere squash match.

Jamie Hayter vs Brooke Havoc.

Jamie Hayter, beat. Brooke Havoc, in a standard TV match. Penelope Ford then called her out in the aftermath, by cutting a scathing promo on her.

Kyle Fletcher vs Atlantis Jnr.

This. Was yet another lofi slow burner, that gravitated into a great mesh of styles. Fletcher got the win, and in the aftermath. Damn It Don Callis gave him the mic, and. Kyle told us, that he's ready to talk, and he will do so, this wednesday, and we will all listen, including Osperay. This is good direction going into AEW's next PPV. Full Gear. I liked this.

The House Of Black vs Some Local Jobbers.

I don't mean to be rude about the guys that The House Of Black murdered, because I forgot there names. The House Of Black got the win. My apologies.

Thunder Rosa Segment

I laughed my ass off watching this segment. Lexi Nair, was interviewing Thunder Rosa, when Harley Cameron entered stage left, she started whining, and complaining, until Thunder Rosa snapped, and clocked her, leaving her complaining on the floor like a Disney Villain. You love to see it.

The Outrunners vs LFI

LFI, beat. The Outrunners, in a fun TV match, thanks to a load of cheating. I love The Outrunners, as much as I love. The Never Ending Story. Bastian SAY MY NAME.

Sammy Guervara Segment

Sammy Guevara, on this weeks Dynamite, will face Shelton Benjamin. I love watching people, achieve life long dreams.

The Pacpool Combat Club vs Top Flight And Action Andretti AEW Trios Championship.

This. Was. A solid match, with a fluid groove, however, the match steered into the realm of predictability. Pac put away Dante Martin, with a Tombstone Piledriver, and then the it all kicked off. Moxley came out, with Marina Shafir. Leila Grey got taken out by Marina Shafir, and just like that. The carnage started, as the show faded to black.

Overview Of AEW Collision

I had a good time watching AEW Collision this week, the action, in places went from flat, to solid, and the promos were strong.

This weeks AEW Collision is a strong 7/10.

My Top 5 WWE in Your House Matches

Intro

Agh yes the nineties. In Pro wrestling the times they were a changing. WCW was making moves changes, that would shape the industry, until that company folded itself into a box, that the then WWF, would eventually buy in the early 2000's. The WWF would also see some changes, that would see the company struggle, and try to figure out how to compete, amongst a sea of controversy, the best example of this, is this. Back in 1994, the WWF made the changes to their PPV output that in some terms, showed their fight, when their TV output failed to cater to a younger audience. Ok guys sing it with me, with your best Jeff Jarrett voices. Were In Your House. Extremewrestlingreviews1.Blogspot.com is in your house tonight.

5. Bret Hart vs Hakushi In Your House 14th Of May 1995

As most of you will know. I'm a massive Bret Hart fan. And this match back when I was a kid, meant everything to me, from having the anticipation of watching my hero, at my mates house after school, to having to avoid my brother in the aftermath, who hates wrestling, and always wanted to ruin it for me. Bret never had a bad match, and this was a perfect example of that statement.

4. HHH vs Henry O Goodwin In Your House 17th Of December 1995.

Have you ever wondered, what it would look like, if the current head of WWE creative, had a load of s*** planted over his head, well now you can, because this stank, in all the best ways.

3. 10 Man Tag Match Canadian Stampede.

As a wrestling fed head from back in the day, this stands out to me as a reminder, that time has no boundaries. The Hart Foundation, beat. Stone Cold Steve Austin. Golddust. LOD, and. Ken Shamrock, and as a ten year old watching this masteroiece of storytelling. I couldn't help but think, that I should enjoy what I was seeing, and I was right because by the end of 1997. Bret would be out of the federation.

2 The Undertaker vs Mankind Buried Alive Match.

The ending to this match, terrified the daylights out of me as a kid. The Undertaker vs Mankind had a fantastic rivalry at this point, even though there Hell In A Cell encounter, that came two years later, would set the tone for how violence can be portrayed on wretling television. I feel that this match, was the centre piece for the chaos that came later.

1 Bret Hart vs The British Bulldog 17th Of December 1995.

I have waxed lyrical about this match on several occassions, and I will continue to do so, because my god, these two created magic, whenever they were in the ring together. I love this match.

WWE Money In The Bank 2025 Review. Superstars Seen Showing up. Jey Uso. Cody Rhodes. John Cena. Logan Paul. Becky Lynch. Seth and his crew. ...
