My Top 5 Cringiest Moments In Wrestling.

      Intro.

Over the lasyt year, weve seen some pretty cringy moments in wrestling. I think that we can all agree, that this year has had it's fair share of those moments, and as history has taught us, the years haven't been kind, as to how we look at parts of time.

5 HHH vs Booker T.

The Wrestlemania 19 build, had its moments, that are etched in my brain, from The Rock, and Austin ending their rivalry, to out right racism. The conitations that surrounded HHH vs Booker T, is nothing short of horrific, and should never have been created.

4 Back Shaving.

The Revival shaving each others backs, and having Jimmy Uso see the horrorfying footage. I have no words.

3 Brawl In Footage.

This, was a thing in our year of 2024. Cm Punk went on the Ariel Helwani podcast, and spilled the beans on what happened backstage at All In, between him and Jack Perry, and gave not so great remarks about his former boss Tony Khan, calling him a nice guy, but not a boss, this sparked off a load of Rah Rah speeches, and childish reactions, and this was one of them, showing the security footage of what happened, was pointless, and only made Khan look Silly.

2 Mae Young Gives Birth To A Hand.

I needed therapy after watching this. A women gave birth to a toy hand on national TV. Just let that marinade. The Attitude Era people, it was a thing.

1 Ric Flair In A Mental Home.

Ric Flair in a mental home. This. Was. WCW, at it's most hurtful, and downright demeaning. I hated this then, and I don't like it now.

AEW Dynamite Review 7.11.2024.

Intro.

With Full Gear just two weeks away. I have to say. I'm enjoying AEW's TV output, creatively, yes there are marks, against the company's name, but overall, things are looking decent, with a lot of purpose, and excitement going forward.

The Hurt Syndicate Segment.

I love this new faction. Tony Schiavone tried to Interview MVP, and his new crew, who were suited and booted. MVP takes the mic, he calls for the fans attention, and got straight to business, putting over his gang of mercinaries, and he said that if you get an invite to join his crew, then you've won a Golden ticket, to hype up your own career, and if you don't want to join, then you will get the same treatment as Swerve, they showed the footage from last week, this brought out Swerve, complete with a chain, and he called out Bobby Lashley for a Match at Full Gear, this was later made official. I liked all of this.

Pac And Claudio Castagnoli vs Darby Allin And Orange Cassidy.

I liked all of this. From Darby taking everyone out from the top of the stage, and. Orange Cassidy, handing out Orange punches for fun, this had a great flow to it, and the pacing was spot on. The physicality was made the centrepiece, and it was great to see, the ending saw Mox. Marina Shafir, and. Wheeler Yuta, wreck everyone. Normally I would complain about endings like this, but when you think about it, this makes a lot of sense. Jon needs to make Orange look week, in order to get the best out of him at Full Gear, in their championship Match. This is actually a clever storybeat, when you sit back, and think about it.

Fight Without Honour Match.

Even though i'm not the biggest fan of Chris Jericho these days. I have to say. I liked this. It was a weapon induced fun match, filled with good chemistry, and well performed physicality. Ishii, and. Jericho had a chop battle, and made each others chests look like roast ham. Mark Briscoe, and. Chris Jericho, uttered this phrase in their own minds, 1 2 3 4 we declare chair war. Big Bill, and. Kyle O'reilly had a fight in the arena, which lead to an awesome table spot. Mark Briscoe got a sweet near-fall, when he gave Jericho and elbow drop, from the top of a ladder. Ishii, got the pin on Chris, to give his team the win.

Adam Cole vs Malakai Black.

Adam Cole, beat. Malakai Black, in a slow burner of a Match. The fans were dead for this, and if i'm being honest, I don't blame them, this felt like both men were feeling each other out, and it ruined the Match in my opinion. Adam then called out MJF in the aftermath, and he said that he has spoken to Tony Khan, and he told him, that if he and Roderick, win their last match, he will face him, and. Strong in a triple threat match, at. Full Gear. I liked all of this. MJF was then seen in his layer necking some red wine, and making a call, this was later confirmed to be Damn It Don Callis.

Jay White Segment.

Jay White, and Hangman Adam Page had a fight, complete with Juice Robinson, my inner Harry Hill loved this.

Kris Statlander Segment.

Kris Statlander was run over by Camille, as Mercedes Mone berrated her. This was a bit reminiscent of when Stone Cold Steve Austin, got run over. Stat will face Mercedes at Full Gear. I liked this.

Christian Cage Segment.

I'm not going to go into two much detail about this because, if i'm honest, i'm not a big fan of this storyline. Yes. it was performed, it's just not for me.

Penelope Ford vs Jamie Hayter.

Jamie Hayter, beat. Penelope Ford in a flat TV Match, that wasn't given enough time to breathe. Do better AEW. I mean it's been five years.

Continental Classic Announcement.

The Continental Classic is coming back, and Okada is taking part, this is going to be good.

Kyle Fletcher And Konosuke Takeshita vs Ricochet And A Mystery Partner.

I liked all of this. Ricochets mystery partner, was confirmed to Powerhouse Hobbs, and I'm so happy to see him back, the Matches within the match, and the solid layout, made this Match an enjoyable watch. Ricochet got the win, by pinning Takeshita. The aftermath descended into chaos. Cage, and. Archer came out, to help their family members. Adam Cole thought Konosuke, and a returning Will Osperay made the save. Cole will face Konosuke Takeshita, next week.

Overview Of This Weeks Dynamite.

I liked this weeks Dynamite. The Matches went from good to great, and the promos were solid.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 8/10.

My Top 5 Times Wrestling left me speechless.

5. Danieson vs Swerve AEW All In 2024.

I'm going to be a bit biased here, because I attended this show, and you know what. This had me crying, enough said.

4. The Rock Pins John Cena At Wrestlemania 28.

With a whole year to build up to this, it was impossible for this to not disapoint, and it didn't. I just didn't see The Final Boss getting the win.

3. Seeing Kenny Omega vs Kazuchika Okada 1.

This. Match is a true breath taking masterpiece, and a must watch. Kenny Omega in this time period. Jaw on the floor stuff me thinks.

2. The Rocks Trashtalk.

This man could do wrong at this point, and my god his trashtalk was great wasn't it.

1 Hogan Turns Heel.

And you can call this. The New World Order of wrestling brother, a nine year old Patrick O'malley left his mates house in tears after watching this. Enough said.

My Top 5 Times AEW Made me Laugh Out Loud.

Warning.

Just giving you guys a heads up, i'm going to be talking about Chris Jericho Segments, because some of them, from way back when, made me piss myself, with laughter.

Intro.

Laughter is the key to the heart in my eyes, and in wrestling. I can't stress how important that is. For example here are my Top 5 Times AEW Made Me Want To Piss Myself Laughing.

5. Wardlow Takes 10 Lashings From MJF.

I don't know why this made me laugh so much but it did. I love this segment. It was like that scene in Starship Troopers, but with no blood.

4. The Brochatchos.

MJF, and. Adam Cole were the bromance story of summer 2023. And it also made me cry laughing, from beating a load of kids playing Dodgeball, to a Captain Insano wearing a rubber dingy. And who could forget Matt Taven singing Neck Strong. Agh yes, good times.

3. The Inner Circle And The Pinnacle Go To Vegas.

I loved this. It was a better version of The Hangover, but with wrestlers, and a baby version of Hornswoggle.

2. I Bought A Ticket And Jake Hagers Hat.

The best way to describe Chris Jericho's early career in AEW, well. I can do that in four words. I bought a ticket, and I also LOVE JAKE HAGERS HAT.

1 Sammy Guevara Gets Suplexed Across A Football Field.

The 1st Stadium Stampede Match In AEW offered some great moments, like Chris Jericho, giving the Jacksonville Jaguars maskot a Judas effect. Hangman Adam Page, and. Jake Hager, having a bar fight. The many faces of Matt Hardy, and then there was this gem. Sammy Guevara getting suplexed across an American Football Field, and then got hit by a horse. My laughing just thinking about it.

5 More TV Shows That Shaped My Wrestling Fandom.

Intro.

TV is a magic source, and when I started to teach myself to write. I looked at things from my childhood. And the main thing that acted as a main influence was television. Shows like South Park, and. The Simpsons taught me to have an attitude, whilst other shows like Party Of Five, showed me that togetherness, wasn't a lost art, and as the years have gone on, my tastes have changed, when science Fiction, and. Horror entered the scene, alongside Comic books. What i'm trying to say is this. Influences come in all shapes and sizes.

5 South Park.

This. Is one of my favourite TV shows ever. The writing is outright insane, and that's why I still watch it now.

4 Breaking Bad.

This. Is an absolute tour da force, in franetic storytelling. This show has been a massive influence on my writing.

3 The Walking Dead.

As a massive horror fan, this show is pivotal viewing, and as a fan of good writing in TV shows. This, to me, stands as the benchmark in showcasing great writing, and superb acting. How does this counteract with wrestling. Well, whenever you get a new stable, they are normally strangers, coming together for one common good, or evil. This somes up The walking Dead perfectly.

2 Saved By The Bell.

Back when I was a kid. I loved this show, and even though elements of this show wouldn't work today, I do feel that humour in and around the time of the early 2000's was important, and wrestling companies would try to capitalise on young kids getting into all kinds of entertainment, to the point that cast members of certain shows would appear at ringside, for instance Dustin Diamond appeared at Wrestlemania 16. Saved By The Bell is a reminder of a simpler time, and a show that made me want to look into creating my own TV show.

1 Party Of Five.

Living here in the UK, in the early nineties. Channel 4 was a haven for TV shows that came from across the pond. My So Called Life. The Cosby Show. Boy Meets world, and. The Wonder Years, with the latter being a massive influence on me. Party Of Five was over a space of six seasons, a well written TV show, that when you look back at it properly. Wrestling has learnt some lessons from this show, but the main important one is this, togetherness is the key. I've always loved this show, because of how the family dynamic gets explored. It's a reminder, that life can be cruel, but those around you can, help dig you out of any situation.

My Top 5 Wrestling Storylines.

Intro.

It's secret that I love Pro wrestling. It's majesty in the way performers tell stories that take thousands in arena's, and millions watching at home on a journey, these journeys can emotional, and uplifting, and some can hold you in there grasp, for half a decade.

5 HHH vs Cactus Jack.

Agh yes. HHH vs Cactus, my twelve year old self is very happy. I love this time period in WWE.

4 The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin.

This. Was an intertwining storyline, that lasted for nearly four years. I love this time period in WWE.

3 MJF vs Cm Punk.

How do I talk about one of the best Wrestling storylines to ever grace TV screens, well turns out, I can't, because It's perfect.

2 Hangman Adam Page vs Kenny Omega.

This. Is one of the best examples, of how Wrestling can provoke uncharted emotions, when you least expect it. Even though Pandemic era wrestling isn't a time that I don't want to go back to, there was some great moments, and the rivalry between Hangman Adam Page, and. Kenny Omega, was a reminder, that everything was going to be ok.

1 The Bloodline Saga.

Were do I begin with this storyline. It's easily the story that WWE has ever told. I have loved this story from the moment it started.

My Top 5 PPV Soundtracks.

Intro.

Music is the beating heart in the world of entertainment, and in the world of Pro Wrestling, it's really no differant. From artists performing at shows, to certain songs soundtracking perfect moments. Music is one of my main loves in life, alongside Pro wrestling. So here are some of my favourite times music has soundtracked Pro Wrestling.

5 War Machine. ACDC Wrestlemania 25.

Arguably. This. Is one of the weakest Mania's on record, Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels aside. It had a great Soundtrack, that was provided by ACDC, and The disaster that was HHH vs Randy Orton, was soundtracked perfectly by this song, and as a big fan of ACDC. This. Is an underrated gem, that worked well in this build up.

4 Liar. Jelly Roll.

One of my Albums of the year is Beautifully Broken by Jelly Roll, It has uncharted emotion echoing from the first track Winning Streak, to the flawless. Higher Than Heaven, but it was his song Liar, that he performed at Summerslam this year, that has put him on this list. The live performance was accompanied by highlights of the rivalries, that helped build the PPV, but that Chokeslam, that's a no go, in my opinion.

3 Sinner. Drowning Pool.

Back in late 2001, the Nu Metal trends were changing to the point of nonexistancy, but, that didn't stop the WWE using this song to hype the Triple Threat Match, between. The Rock. Stone Cold Steve Austin, and. Kurt Angle, This. Was perfect, and befitting for the time.

2 Troubador. George Straight.

This song soundtracked the final moments of The Undertakers Last Ride Docu Series, at it was a perfect way to say goodbye to a legend. I'll be an old Troubador when i'm gone, those words, just hit differant, in my opinion.

1 Now That Were Dead. Metallica, and. My Way. Limp Bizkit.

I couldn't decide between these two, so I placed them both in the top spot. WWE have used Metallica's Now That Were Dead on two occassions, as a way to say goodbye to The Undertaker, whilst My Way, by. Limp Bizkit, was the main soundtrack to The Rock, and. Stone Cold Steve Austin's Wrestlemania 17 hype Video, both of these entries are perfect examples of how music can enhance video promotions.

AEW Dynamite Review 14.8.2025. MJF And Hangman Adam Page Segment. I liked this. From the very start you could feel the visceral feeling betw...
