AEW Dynamite Review 13.3.2025

Intro.

With Revolution now in the rearview mirror, it's all about the spinning plate trick, when it comes to how AEW book there week to week tv product, heading into the next PPV in over a month. Since the turn of this year. I have been enjoying AEW's tv output. As the industry has seen dramatic changes, over the past few months. I feel the time is now, to make their stamp, and make it loud.

Kenny Omega Segment.

I love this man. The best bout machine is back. He's happy to be cleared, and he couldn't have done it without the support of the AEW doctors, and fans, he thanked Takeshista for pushing him, and Will Osperay for being his friend. He left us with a due, as the International Championship Elimination Tournament begins tonight. This left him, and me with an air of excitement, because he wants to face the best. This segment was excellent.

The Opps vs Local Enhancements.

The Opps, beat some Local Enhancements in a flat squash Match, that had me thinking, why was this on the card?

Swerve Strickland Segment.

This was a decent interwinding segment. Strickland explained his actions for the end of Revolution, and left us with the thought of him taking back what he won a year ago, making history in the process. Adam Copeland came into shot, and said that he's not done with Moxley. Jon  answered this back later on, and Jay White gave us his thoughts later on in the broadcast. I did like this, but I want this storyline to be done with, if i'm being honest. The Street Fight next week should be interesting.

Hologram And Powerhouse Hobbs vs Brian Cage And Dralistico.

I liked this. Hobbs got the win for his team. I had fun watching this at 7am in the morning. From Harley Cameron cosplaying as a version of a Power Ranger, and. Brian Cage powerlifting Hologram, and back chucking him like a wet towel. This. Was. A decent, fun, TV Match.

The Hurt Syndicate Segment.

The Hurt Syndicate were seen gloating after Sunday Night, and the only thing that ran through my mind was this. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE OUTRUNNERS. I think it's clear that The Hurt Syndicate never take a day off.

Timeless Toni Storm Segment.

I liked this. The Tramp is still the champ. Complete with Stitches, and. Staples, and glass in her arse, she's honoured to be the AEW womens Champion, she put over the locker room, and reminded everyone that she isn't a cat, she's Timeless Toni Storm, and just after that Megan Bayne attacked her.

International Championship Elimination Tournament The Beast Mortas vs Speedball Mike Bailey.

I'm so excited to see Speedball Mike Bailey in AEW. This Match was an excellent balance of styles. This was perfectly booked, and a great watch. Bailey got the win, and advances to the four way next week. Mike Bailey in AEW, now that just makes sense.

Christian Cage Segment

Christian Cage told Renee Paquette, that due to her being married to Jon Moxley, he didn't want to talk to her, it was at this point that he made up excuses, and cried like a big baby, to the point that Nick Wayne clapped back at his dad. This would cause tension within the family. to the point that father and son were nose to nose. Kip Sabian walked away as Nick wayne's mum, who's got it going on, just looked purplexed.

MJF Segment.

From backstage stage footage of him smashing a mirror last Sunday, to his promo that came next. This. Was the highlight of the night. This. Was narcasism at the highest degree. He said that he's smarter than all of Hangman Adam Page's fans, and that business with the cowboy is far from over. It was here when MVP walked out. This segment then got elevated to great levels. He spoke about their past, and how they have history together. MVP said that he was proud of Max, but then he said that he wasn't, because he's not showing any anger. No one feared him in the back, because he's lost his edge. It was here when MVP gave Max his card, only for Max to rebuff it, he then told his former mentor, that he doesn't need him, because he's MJF, he ran through his achievements, and MVP gave him his card again, as the segment ended. MJf would have an awesome encounter with Hangman Adam Page later on. I loved all of this.

Max Castor Open Challenge.

Max got battered after he ran his mouth too much to Konosuke Takeshista. That's what happens when you bring up Kenny Omega.

Chris Jericho Segment.

I hated all of this. It was embarressing. Chris Jericho does Shakespear. Oh boy.

Willow Nightingale vs Penelope Ford.

Willow Nightingale, beat. Penelope Ford, in what was a solid Match. Ford tried to attack Willow in the aftermath. Kris Statlander made the save, and was then cleaned out by Megan Bayne.

Mercedes Mone Segment.

Mercedes Mone vs Billy Starks at a later date, yes please AEW, book it Tony. I really want to see this Match.

Will Osperay Segment.

I think Will Osperay is the most likable man in Pro Wrestling. He sold the act of war perfectly, walking down to the ring with a limp. He spoke about the act of lying to his mrs, and breaking promises. He wants Gold, at All In, and will enter the Owen Hart Tournament to get his shot at All in, and he doesn't care who he faces to get there. This was excellent.

Orange Cassidy vs Hechicero International Championship Eliminator Tournament.

I don't know what to think of this, yes the Match was good, but I felt that something was missing from this. Cassidy got the win, and is now in the four way next week, with the winner facing Kenny Omega at Dynasty.

Overview of AEW Dynamite.

I liked this broadcast, it went from marginely fine, to great. The in-ring work was good, but the promos stole the show. This weeks Dynamite is the very definition of setting up the spinning plate trick, and it's made me very excited for the company going forward.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a high 7/10.

My Top 5 Bloodiest AEW Matches.

 Intro.

Over the past few days since Revolution. I've been thinking to myself, after witnessing some glorious bloodshed. What are the bloodiest Matches that AEW have ever booked, and produced. This to me was an interesting question to me, so I decided to take a look back through the bloodshed.

5 Cody Rhodes vs Dustin Rhodes Double Or Nothing 2019.

If wrestling is centred around the essence of a perfect story, then this much loved, and celebrated encounter needs to be studied. The act of drawing blood made the story of family come fully into focus, then this is a must watch.

4. Marieh May vs Timeless Toni Storm AEW Womens Championship Match Revolution 2025.

Lights. Camera. Action. Bloodshed, this is my favourite Womens Matches this year, and I will be going back to watch this at a later date. Chest up. Tits out, and watch out for the blood. And the rest.

3. J.A.S vs The Blackpool Combat Club Anarchy In The Arena Double Or Nothing 2022.

When I was coming up with the idea for this list, this Match came to my mind, and it made me realise one thing. It's worthy of the 5 star rating that Dave Meltzer gave it. It was violent. It was nasty, and it was awesome, that Image of a bloody Eddie kingston with a gas can walking bown to the ring, is an incredible visual.

2. Cm Punk vs MJF Dog Chain Match Revolution 2022.

From the storytelling that led into this Match, to its overall execution, is something that I will never forget.

1. Steel Cage Match Hangman Adam Page vs Swerve strickland All Out 2024.

I think when we look back through the annals of time, this Match will surface as one of AEW's most bloody, and barbaric, but yet it's an essential watch, because the blood sold the violence, as the after effect of war could be felt for weeks to come.

My Top 5 Takeaways From Monday Night Raw.

Intro.

I have to say it. I'm enjoying Monday Night Raw, at the moment. It's far more entertaining than it's Friday Night counterpart. Now don't get me wrong Friday Night Smackdown is part of my Saturday Morning ritual, but said show has been a slog of late, but on the other hand. I do get to eat sweats for breakfast when I watch it. Well it's the weekend.

5 Jey Uso vs Austin Theory.

Don't get me wrong. I love Jey Uso, but I hated this Match. It felt predictable, lazy and boring, and don't get me started with Gunthers beatdown in the aftermath.

4 I Hate Logan Paul.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that I hate Logan Paul, but I love AJ Styles, and. Kevin Mcallister.

3. Tornado Tag Team Match.

What do you get when you add. The LWO. The New Day, together with Blueberry Muffins. A very tasty Tuesday morning. Breakast was awesome for me.

2. The Steel Cage Match.

All of this was flawless. From the inbuilt storytelling. The return of Roman Reigns, and the jaw dropping conclusion. Oh paul Heyman what have you done.

1. Freddie Roach In Attendence.

I know what you're all thinking, why have I put Freddie Roach at the top of this list? Well that's simple. Most of you guys will know, that I love my Combat Sports, and this guy is a legend who's coached some of the best athletes to ever enter an MMA octagon, and a boxing ring. Enough said.

My Top 5 Takeaways From UFC 313.

Intro.

This card was stacked, and as I sat down last night to start making this list by watching the show. I was stunned. The main card was excellent, and it just goes to show, that the balance has finally been made, because it was less than a decade ago, that I thought the sport wasn't speaking to a younger audience. Coming up with a card that speaks to the upstart teens who are looking at getting into MMA, is a vital thing, and the UFC on this weekend mastered this. So here's some of my top takeaways from the PPV.

5 Justin Gaethje Is The Man.

I'm a big fan of this guy. His fight against Rafael Fiziev got fight of the night bonus, and given the fact that Rafael took the fight on short notice. Gaethje kept things simple, and picked apart Rafael in what was a great fight.

4 Mauricio Ruffy's Heelkick Knockout Of King Green.

Mauricio Ruffy's Heelkick knockout of King Green was something to be seen, because it was only the seventh Heelkick knockout in UFC history, and it was a masterful use of power and technique.

3 Ignacio Bohamondes.

I was really impressed with this guy. His submission win over Jalin Turner by submission was awesome.

2 Magomed Ankaliev.

The Main event saw, wasn't just a shock, it was a statement win for Ankaliev, he defeated Alex Pereira by unanomous decision, in a result that I never saw coming. Some people have questioned where will MMA's next big star come from has now been brought into question, due to Pereira losing both the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight belts in the space of a year. I think that he will comeback, his time isn't done just yet.

Robbie Lawler Is going Into The UFC Hall Of Fame.

What can I say about Robbie Lawler that hasn't been said before, this man is the definition of passion. And his induction into the Hall Of Fame is long overdue.

AEW Revolution 2025 Review.

 Intro.

When I woke up this morning I took up the chance to check out X, and opinions on this PPV are possitive. I'm not someone who buys two much into what is said by other fans, but I do feel that fan opinions are valid, and there was one moment on this card that had me feeling nothing but rage. So lets get into it.

Hangman Adam Page vs MJF.

I liked this. The great physicality became a great background player, to the overacrching story of a Fin line between love and hate. The near falls were great, and they fell into place perfectly. Hangman got the win in what was a very entertaining opener.

Mercedes Mone vs Momo Wantanabe AEW TBS Championship.

I liked this. Their in-ring chemistry was awesome, and this moulded into the physicality with ease. The Match started out being wrestled to crickets, and both ladies worked hard to get the fans on side. Mercedes retained as Billy Starks watched on.

Swerve Strickland vs Ricochet AEW No1 Contenders Match For The Heavyweight Championship.

This. Was a great Match, with some solid storybeats. From Prince Nana looking lucious in that white gear. Swerve coming out to a drum soundtrack. Nana got shoved over by Swerve, as the story that was centred around robe stuff. Nana walked out leaving his mentor, only to come back later on, and play into the finish. The near falls were decent, and the final exchanges between both men were performed with ease, as the last exchange saw Swerve get the win.

Kazuchika Okada vs Brody King.

To me this was when the PPV shifted into second gear. I loved this Match. It was strangely captivating, and it held my attention throughout its durration. The in built story may not have been very evident, but the physicality, and overall gamesmanship between both men, was sensational. Okada retained, and this left me wanting more.

The Hurt Syndicate vs The Outrunners AEW World Tag Team Championships.

This pissed me off. The Hurt Syndicate, beat. The Outrunners for the AEW Tag Team Championships. Noooooooooooooooooooooo. Ok i'm sad now. IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE THE OUTRUNNERS. Patrick stop crying.

Timeless Toni Storm vs Marieh May AEW Womens Championship No Holds Barred.

I loved this. It was bloodstained plunder Match, that acted as a book end for this rivalry. This. Is so far my Womens Match of the year. From Luther getting taken out early on. May getting powerbombed off of the stage, and through a table. Both ladies busted each other open, and then proceeding to glass fist one another in the form of a Hardcore Match. The blood, and the violence acted like side characters in my favourite film, which helpled the story progress. Toni Storm then took a glass shot to the, how can I say this without my mum wanting to slap me. The gooch, the got glass in her gooch. Toni got the win, after she gave Marieh a Storm Zero through a Hollywood table that was positioned on the top of the rampway. In the terms of one of my favourite films a Clockwork Orange. This was gorgousness, and gougocity making flesh, and forming something that can only be described as liquid Gold.

AEW International Championship Match Kenny Omega vs Konosuke Takeshista.

I'm at the minute a bit flummexed, because I'm struggling. I can't figure out how to put perfection into words. From it's lofi pace, that encapulated the early goings, the gut shots that Kenny took, to the absolutely incredible exchanges that both men put each other through, to the stunning near falls that elevated the story of the Match, and were played out with subtlety and ease. Kenny is our new International Champion, and this was physical warfare laid bare in all of its glory. What is it with Kenny Omega having Match of the year contenders, and were only in March.

Will Osperay vs Kyle Fletcher Steel Cage Match.

This. Match took me back to being an 11 year old kid, watching Mankind vs The Undertakers Hell In A Cell Match from King Of The Ring 1998. Especially when you know some of the facts behind it. It's known that the late Terry Funk told Mick Foley, that the best way to start the Match off, would be if he climbed up to the top of the cell. This is exactly what Kyle Fletcher did. Both him and Will had a fantastic visual stare down from opposite sides from the top of the cage. The match delved head first into the darkside of both mens depravity, as they busted each other open, and created a violent, bloodsoaked majestic, story that unfolded over the durration of the Match. The storybeats, adding with Will at one point becoming Negan from The Walking Dead, and. Kyle acting like Glenn, made for a tense mindgame played by Fletcher as he begged for his life. Mark Davis interfered, and added weapons to the proceedings to aid that part of the Match. As the exchanges entered the latter stages of the Match, we were treated to the best parts of the story and the Match. Kyle tried to get out of the cage, but Will gave chase, and gave Kyle an Os cutter from the top of the cage, after both men had screwdriver fun. Kyle could be heard shout how much he hated Will, this gave us the end, when Will Hit Kyle with a hidden blade for the win. This was an extremely gratifying Match, that topped off a bad night for The Damn It Don Callis Family. Osperay just loves having Match of the year contenders doesn't he.

Jon Moxley vs Adam Copeland For The AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

This wasn't for me. It lacked any form of substance. Xcalibur on commentary said that there was a hush over the crowd, and let me tell it wasn't due to fear of Jon Moxley, it was because they were tired after seeing three Matches of the year conders back to back, which speaks volumes of how this Deathriders story has played out on TV. The interferences from Jay white, and Wheeler Yuta were comical, and Christian Cage's failed cash in attempt felt lazy, and last minute. Mox got the win after the Cage cash in, and inclusion drained me of my sanity. Thankfully Swerve Strickland took out Mox with stomp from off the top of an exit, as the show ent off the air.

Overview Of AEW Revolution 2025.

Bad main event, and disapointing Tag Team Championship Match result aside. This was an excellent PPV. Copmplete with awesome in-ring work, and Match of the year contenders. I get the critisism about the main event, but I don't think that this should overshadow everyones enjoyment. There is great stuff to be found on this show if you give it a chance, as this should be a warning to Tony Khan, if something isn't working out, don't book it as your main event.

AEW Revolution 2025 is a solid 9/10.

My Top 5 UFC Fighters Broke Down Boundaries.

        Intro.

People who push boundaries normally go on to change the way we look at industries, whether it's in Pro Wrestling. MMA, or in everyday life, we have it in ourselfs to change everything around us, so this gave me the idea. Which UFC Fighters changed their own paths, and broke down boundaries, well this is my top 5 list.

        5 Randy Couture.

This Man is one of my sporting Icons. He didn't take up MMA, until he was in his late 30's, and became a UFC Champion at the age of 39, and when he was in his 40's he became the promotions World Heavyweight Champion. Even though this came with it's own set of legal problems surrounding his contract, and his payments, he proved that age is nothing but a number.

       4. Matt Hamill.

This man was the first Def fighter to ever grace the octagon. He's an inspiration to the def community in my opinion, because you can do anything if you set your mind to something, and well Matt Hamill did just that.

3 Tito Ortiz.

From growing up with Drug addict parents, to witnessing his best friend get killed in a gang shooting. He's the definition of turning your life around. He would go on to become the UFC Middleweight Champion.

2 Michael Bisping.

The Count. The myth. The legend, and a man who helped put MMA in the UK on the map, to becoming the UFC Middleweight Champion, and the first ever British Champion. He wasn't just a industry changer, he was a game changer, and the perfect example of you can do anything when you put your mind to it.

1 Royce Gracie.

The reason this man is at the top of my list is because. Were would the sport be without him.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Review 8.3.2025

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

LA Knight. Shinsuke Nakamura. Braun Strowman. Solo Sikoa and his family, . Drew Mcintyre, who decked Damien Priest, were all seen showing up to the arena. ( more on Priest later )

Randy Orton Segment.

I liked this. Randy Orton took his time with this promo, he basked in the fans admiration. He started off by welcoming us to Friday Night Smackdown, He he levelled his history with Kevin Owens, and made Kevin look like a jealous little boy, because every friendship he's ever had, has turned sour. He talks about John Cena, and goes through their history. He put over the severity of the career threatening injury, that kept him on the shelf for over 18 months. Randy spoke with fire and grace, and forshadowed what might becoming later down the line. Welcome back mr Viper.

Chelsea Green Segment.

Chelsea Green, wasn't in a good mood with Nick Aldis, he put Piper Niven in a Match against Tiffany Stratton, so little Tiffy got no repocussions for what happened last week. She would go on to beat Piper in an decent TV Match, and was then taken out by Charlotte Flair, who came out looking like she was about to go to C2C.

March Madness.

Nick Aldis did his best trig version of Steiner Math, and left me outright confused. So i'm not going to explain March Madness here. Pretty Deadly beat Los Gaza, and. The Motorcity Machine guns in a flat TV Match. And are now the No1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Bianca Belair Segment.

This. Was. Excellent. I'm not going to go through everything here, because you need to see it for yourself. all of this was perfect. Enough said. What a well executed segment this was.

Lex Luger Is Going Into The WWE Hall Of Fame.

I love this. Lex Leger is going into the WWE Hall Of Fame. If you know Lex's story, his struggles and his triumphs, then it all makes sense. Sexy Lexy is going into the Hall Of Fame, you love to see it.

Braun Strowman vs Solo sikoa.

The Match was thrown out after Tama Tonga got involved, this led to Braun Strowman, and my man Jacob Fatu, to have an arena fight, that saw Jacob get chokeslammed through a table.

Chelsea Green vs Michin Street Fight. WWE Womens United States Championship.

I had fun watching this Match. From the weapon plunder. Michin snacking on Chelsea's fingers. B-Fab, having fun with a kendo stick, which led to Michin taking aim at Chelsea. Chelsea retained after Alba Fyre got involved.

Cody Rhodes Segment.

This. Was. Another Excellent Segment. Lies. Deceit, and. The Final Boss, and travis Scott was also their. He went through his history with John, asking the question why, because there's justification for what he did. He thanked the fans for choosing him, and told John if you want some, then come and get some.

Drew Mcintyre vs Jimmy Uso.

Drew Mcintyre, beat. Jimmy Uso, in a flat TV Match. Damien Priest, then put a beating on Drew in the aftermath.

LA Knight vs Shinsuke WWE United States Championship.

I didn't like this. The Match was boring, and in my opinion, it failed to get off the ground. Knight got the win, and is the new United States Championship.

Overview Of Friday Night Smackdown.

This weeks Friday Night Smackdown was a fun watch in my eyes, with excellent work on the mic and the in- ring work could be seen as decent.

This weeks Friday Night Smackdown is a solid 7/10.
