Wrestlemania Night 2 Review.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

Cody Rhodes. Randy Orton. Lyra Valkyria. Bron Breakker. The Judgement Day. Penta, were all seen showing up, whilst the ladies in our opening Match were getting ready.

Stephanie Mcmahon Segment.

Man this was painful. She welcomed us to night 2, and harped on about her memories. I hated this.

Iyo Sky vs Bianca Belair vs Rhea Ripley.

This in my opinion was my Match of the night. From Bianca's step daughter giving her luck on the entrance, to the Match resembling a fast paced race, that showed no signs of letting up. All three women had minor energetic bursts that worked well to sell the Match. Bianca at one point turned into a female version of Jean Claude Van Damme, when she blasted Iyo in the later stages. Iyo reversed a riptide, which led to a series of fantastic Exchanges, that gave way to the finish, as Iyo Retained her belt.

Sin City Street Fight Drew Mcintyre vs Damien Priest.

As I watched this Match unfold. My went to one thing. Me and Damien Priest both met Kerry King. I met him at a signing tent at the Reading Festival back in 2006, whilst last night he played Priest out to the ring, funny old world isn't it. Whilst Drew came out and walked by prop that wouldn't look out in an old episode of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. From the lore that harped back to last year. Priest got put through a table, he took an after shock ddt on the steel steps, and took even more table punishment, after attempting to old school. This is what led to the finish, as Drew gave Priest a steel chair Claymore for the win. Priest did get in some good offense, but it was ineffective. I liked this.

Penta vs Bron Breakker vs Finn Balor vs Dominic Mysterio Ic Championship.

I liked this. The 4 way dynamic was worked well here, and it played into the Match perfectly, as this was another Match that relied on having energetic bursts. The exchanges were great, as The Judgement Day over riding arc, was the main point of the Match. This would lead to the finish, as Dom Pinned Finn after Coup de grace attempt on Bron Breaker. Dom hit a splash on both men, and is our Intercontinental Champion.

Randy Orton vs ?.

Who was Randy Orton's Opponent going to be. Could it be Nick Aldis, could it be Simon Miller, well no, because if you said his name then he might just appear. It was Joe Hendry. The pair had a fun Match, and Randy got the win, as the emotion dripped down Joe's face.

Logan Paul vs AJ Styles

This fell flat. And it never recovered. The multi layered story elements with Karrion Kross were pointless, and the back and forth between both men felt a bit forced in my opinion. Logan got the win.

Raquel Rodriguez And Liv Morgan vs Lyra Valkyria And ? WWE womens Tag Team Championship

Lyra Valkyria's Mystery Partner was none other than a returning Becky Lynch. The Match was a bit safe for my liking. The look on Liv's face said everything. Her and Lyra became the new Tag team Champions. Yes i'm excited to see Becky back, but I just feel that this was a wasted oppotunity, because this screamed Monday Night Raw after Mania. Just my opinion.

Stone Cold Steve Austin Segment.

Stone Cold Steve Austin told  us the gate record for last night, and the weekend as a whole, and beforehand taking out crowd menbers with his buggy. This caused Nick Khan to run to ringside to smooth things out. I don't know about you guys, but I would where this like a badge of honour. I got run over by Stone Cold Steve Austin, and I lved to tell the tale.

John Cena vs Cody Rhodes WWE Championship.

I liked this. The contrast between both men was a day and night look, that was fascinating. Cody entrance was based on the excitement of the dream of Americana, whilst Cena's was a bleak look into the future, as the dis taste of fan acceptence ran down his face. The balance of the Match resembled lyrics from one of my favourite bands Linkin Park. Fear is how I fall. In terms of how the Match played out it went the way I thought it would, but the dynamic that played was something to be seen. Cena wasn't powering out as a babyface, his complete demenour had changed, and it was a glimpse into  were the company was heading. Cena got the win with a simple belt smash to the head, as his heel antics became the centre piece of WWE's fabric. I get that this Match had several problems, that were pain sakingly bad. But in my opinion the overarching fear of doom is how us fans are going to fall, and it's going to be a sight to be seen. Cena is now a 17 time World Heavyweight Champion. His isn't up, and us fans don't deserve it to be now.

Overview of Wrestlemania Night 2.

Night 2 ran smoother in my opinion. I thought that the in-ring work was a lot more stable, which allowed the story's to flow. I get that some fans might not like the outcome of the Main event, but if i'm honest I feel excited about were WWE take Cena under HHH leadership.

Wrestlemania Night 2 is a solid 8/10.

 Wrestlemania 41 Night 1 Review.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

I'm skipping the intro so lets get straight into it. Roman Reigns. Paul Heyman. Cm Punk. Charlotte Flair, and. Tiffany Stratton were all seen showing up, whilst Jey Uso, and Gunther were shown getting ready for their Match.

HHH Segment.

The new solo hall of famer HHH welcomed us to Wrestlemania, and at this point I was thinking, just get on with it.

Jey Uso vs Gunther WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

I liked this. From Jey making his entrances with the help of Cheerleaders, and flag banners, to Gunther coming out on his own. This made both men look like a study in contrast, and it was the right call to make. From the early groundwork which acted as a mask for Jeys Injury. This kicked off what was a lofi burner, complete with Superb back and forth, as the final exchanges brought a close to the Match. Jey got the win by choking Gunther out. A lot fans have been divided over the finish, but in my opinion. I think this made a lot of sense when you think about. What Jey is saying is this, an eye for an eye is a powerful thing.

The New Day Vs The War Raiders WWE Tag Team Championship.

I didn't like this. The whole Match felt phoned, and predictable. The New Day are the new Tag Team Champions.

Naomi vs Jade Cargill.

This was just fine. From Naomi looking like she had just stepped of the music video set for The Backstreet Boys Larger Than Life, whilst Jade took her comic book cosplay to the next level, as a weather report was the backdrop for her entrance. The in ring work was clunky, and it never got up off the ground. Jade got the win, and I was left with the feeling of confusion, because this wasn't great.

LA Knight vs Jacob Fatu WWE United States Championship.

Even though I didn't think much of this Match. It was better than what I thought it would be. This was another state of both men being a study in contrast. Knight made his entrance in a Mazzarati, whilst Jacob walked out with Solo. The near falls and exchanges were good, and the work overall was decent. Jacob got the win, and is our new United States Championship. But the big question is this, will I be rewatching it? the answer to that is no.

Rey Fenix vs El Grande Americano.

Fenix was a last minute replacement for Mysterio who was injured in a Match the night before on Smackdown. This was a lot of fun. and showcased that both men had decent Chemistry, that allowed the Match to breathe, but even though this was fun. It's also forgettable. El Grande got the win.

HBK Segment.

HBK told us the attendence for night 1 was 61.467. And if you aint down with that, then, ok, I guess.

Tiffany Stratton vs Charlotte Flair WWE Womens Championship.

I liked this.  From the Nsync reference used for Tiffany's entrance, to Charlotte Flairs  proving that Rolls Royce's are for fun. With the build going off the rails, the match stayed on course, and as a result the Match was given time to breathe, as it managed to mix fiction with reality. Stratton retained, and this told me the fact that Flair had done the right thing for business.

Hall Of Fame Class.

I love Bret Hart for these reasons. His eye roll was classic here, because I felt the same way. HHH getting an overexapated entrance was a joke.

Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns vs Cm Punk.

With no belt on the line WWE were heavily banking on story to create the nesicicary drama in order to sell the Match. Over the past few weeks I have been going through my old Sons Of Anarchy DVDs. The shows overarching themes of Jealousy, betrayal, and control, were all played out here, to pulverising effect. The video Packages that came beforehand were sensational, as they teased what could possibly come. From The Shield lore acting like a support act to something that is much bigger at play. The near falls molding into the Match like a warm blanket, to Paul Heyman committing the ultimate act of btrayal, he low blowed his best friend Cm Punk, and his Tribal Chief, allowing Seth to use the chair that he had brought into the ring. This allowed Seth to hit a stomp on Roman after he smacked him in the back with the chair. All of this was fantastic, and a great piece of storytelling. Over the years I haven't always been a fan of Heel Rollins, but this is a new WWE, under a differant creative force. Which means watching Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins run down their former adversaries is going to make for fascinating viewing. This was brilliant stuff.

Overview Of Wrestlemania Night 1.

This was a night that thrived on highs and lows, and as a result what we got was an inconsistant showing, that had some good, to great highlights.

Wrestlemania 41 Night 1 is a solid 7/10.

My Top 5 Worst Wrestlemania Matches In WWE History.

  Intro.

This weekend sees the return of the show of shows, and over the years we've seen some excellent Matches, but there has also been some stinkers, that no one tends to really talk about, so I decided to give it a go, so sit back and relax, and read my list of the Top 5 worst Wrestlemania Matches in WWE History.

    5. Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar Mania 20.

This was a victim of various circumstances. Both men were leaving the company in the aftermath, and the fans were pissed. I remember watching this with my dad when I was sixteen, and he asked me why are the fans booing both men, and I had to go through the hole situation. Both men looked visibly annoyed.

4. Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton Mania 33.

From the Match running at a slow pace, Maggots showing on the canvas, to Randy getting the win, which was a decision that was universally panned, to this leaving me with the feeling of confusion. I think its' safe to say that this was a letdown

3 The Undertaker vs Sid Mania 13.

This Match stank, and if you believe the rumours, it did literally, this was a poor mismatch, and a badly executed waste of time.

2 The Undertaker vs The Giant Gonzalez Mania 9.

This Match gives me nightmares, not because it's scary, it's because this was just all round terrible.

1. Lawrence Taylor vs Bam Bam Bigelow Mania 11.

If you could sum up the World Wrestling Federation in 1995, it would come in the shape of this Match. Look I get it you have to get eyes on the product from all works of life, but using a football player who at the time had no experience in a wrestling ring is just plain dumb in my opinion. The match left many fans feeling purplexed, and outright angry, and this got me thinking. If the WWE Network was a thing back in 1995, just how many fans would've rage quit the app as a result. Thumbs would still be burning if this happened ten years later.

AEW Collision Spring Break through Edition.

      Intro.

As this week has gone, news has come out that AEW's Forbidden Door is going to emmulate from the 02 in London, whilst also making their Scotland debut. I'm not going to Forbidden Door this year. This is due to the fact that my focus needs to be on this, because you guys know, that this is my passion, and with the impending start of advertising coming soon. I'm going to need to put in a lot of work. I've managed to build something special here, but if i'm going to turn this into my job, then more needs to be done.

 The Deathriders Segment.

I felt bad for Tony Schiavone, and. Nigel Mcguinness, because they couldn't even get a word out before The Deathriders caused a load of mayhem. Mox took to the mic, and told fans they can celebrate all they want, because it's not going to last for long, he laid waste to The Young Bucks, and then challenged Samoa Joe to a Match for his AEW World Heavyweight Championship. This was well performed, but overall I feel like this segment treaded over old ground, and offered nothing new.

Kevin Knight vs Lance Archer.

This Match resembled a one sided beatdown, with an excellent sense of fight back. Knight got the win, in what was a solid Match. I loved how the big vs small dynamic played out, because it was well balanced, and if you look back through history in wrestling, this isn't an easy thing to do.

The Opps Segment.

This footage was caught after Wednesday nights Dynamite. I liked this. All three of these guys look like a positive murderers row.

Kris Statlander And Jamie Hayter Segment.

Jamie Hayter vs Kris Statlander next week on Dynamite in the Owen. Yes please AEW.

Tony Schiavone Hates FTR.

Tony Schiavone vs FTR at Double Or Nothing. Book it now Tony, because this would be comedy.

Josh Alexander And Konosuke Takeshista vs Tomohiro ishii and Rocky Romero.

This was flat. I didn't like this. With the talent that was involved I was expecting so much more, but that didn't happen. Josh, and. Konosuke got the win, and then a returning Trent Barretta joined his old mate in turning on Ishii, and returning to the Damn It Don Callis Family. Ropongi Vice is back people. Oh joy.

Muppet Mercedes.

These dolls need to be made available to fans as merch, because they would sell. I love Harley Cameron.

Megan Bayne Wrecks Fools.

Megan Bayne Wrecked some local enhancement talents in less than two minutes. I love Megan Bayne, but this felt a bit pointless.

Adam Cole vs Claudio Castagnoli TNT Championship Open Challenge.

I liked this. Both men put forward a great effort. The Match had a solid flow, and as the Match entered its final stages, the exchanges got better, as Cole retained his belt.

Big Bill And Bryan Keith Segment.

Big Bill is right, he and Bryan Keith are better off not being in the Jericho Vortex.

LFI vs Some Local Talent Enhancements.

LFI, beat some local talent enhancements, in a flat, and boring TV Match, that offered up absolutely nothing.

Nick Wayne vs Kommander ROH TV Championship Match.

I liked this. It had a fun energy to it, thanks to the fans wanting a piece of momma Wayne. Patrick be careful what you say. The in ring work was turned up a gear, as both men showcased a sense of flair that was missing from most of this card. Nick got the win, and is the new ROH TV Champion. And his Mum and Dad both looked very pleased.

Mercedes Mone And Harley Cameron vs Krist Statlander And Julia Hart.

Even though this Match wasn't much to write home about, I did think this was an interesting balance of styles. I liked the chemistry between both teams, but this didn't mesh with the physicality, and as a result the Match suffered. Harley And Mercedes got the win, and yet again Toni Storm on commentary was hilarious. Look I have the same sense of humour as a 10 year old.

Overview Of AEW Collision Spring Break through.

As a fan sitting here writing this on Good Friday. I have to say that I did enjoy this show. Was it perfect no, but did I have fun watching it, yes.

This weeks AEW Collision is a solid 7/10.

AEW Dynamite Spring Breakthrough Review.

Mercedes Mone vs Athena Owen Hart Tournament Semi Final.

This was the perfect start, to what was an awesome show. The fans were on red hot form here, and it bled into the match. Both ladies put forward some great chemistry, and excellent physicality. This was a PPV level Match, showcased to the masses for a TV audience, this was fantastic. Mercedes got the win, and now advances to the final at next months Double Or Nothing. Toni Storm was in the crowd, catching up with the fans, aka slumming it.

Hangman Adam Page Segment.

The only thing that I took away from this segment was this. DON'T TEASE ME TONY I WANT HANGMAN VS OKADA NOW.

American Sport Stuff.

Who's Tuukka Rusk. Look i'm dumb when it comes American Sports teams, so I have no idea who this was. I'm British guys, what more can I say.

Hangman Adam Page vs ? Owen Hart Tournament

The big question going into this weeks Dynamite was, who's going to be Hangmans mystery opponent in the Owen Hart Tournament, well it turned out to be Josh Alexander. This was a clever move, and some sensible booking. The Match was another PPV worthy TV Match, that followed the same pattern as the opening encounter. Hangman got the win, and now advances in the Owen Hart Tournament. I liked this.

The Patriarchy Segment.

Christian Cage, and. Nick Wayne aired out their family issues, complete with NJPW backwoods gifts. I don't know what to make of this.

Gates Of Agony vs The Hurt Syndicate AEW Tag Team Championship.

The Hurt Syndicate, retained their AEW Tag Team Championships, in a decent Match against. The Gates Of Agony. I liked this. But once again it was the aftermath, that was the most entertaining thing about the Match. Max put over his own version of talent, some fine ladies that he's found from the classy area of Boston, to please Shelton. Bobby, and. MVP, but Shelton was a bit gready because he wanted Max's watch, but this did nothing for Max, because he still wasn't allowed to join this selective club. He layed out some truths to the crew he wants to join and leaves. I liked this, man those ladies looked fine.

Will Osperay vs Konosuke Takeshita Owen Hart Tournament Semi Final.

This was an on set thrill ride, from start to finish, that never let up. The story of the Match took a back seat to the physicality, and it was great to see. The Near falls fell into place perfectly, and after this we were treated to a fantastic series of exchanges, that saw Will advance to the Final of the Tournament. This was brilliant.

The Deathriders vs The Opps.

With Pac, and. Hook both out due to injuries. Jon Moxley, and. Powerhouse Hobbs stepped into their shoes, and the gamble paid off. From Interference spots from Willow Nightingale. Swerve Strickland, and. The Young Bucks adding to the drama of the Match, as the final levels of physicality, gave way for some decent Exchanges, this caused The Deathriders to lose thier focus, and lose their belts, after Joe put a choke on Mox for the win. As the broadcast came to an end. The Locker room cleared out, and celebrated in the ring, in what was a great memory, and ending to one of the best ever editions of AEW's weekly TV outings.

This Weeks AEW Dynamite is a clear 10/10

My Top 5 Wrestlemania Moments That Happened At The Right Time In My Life.

Intro.

Wrestling is a funny old game, it has its own trials and tribulations, but these moments can mean a lot to fans, as we go around in our day to day life, and the show of shows is no exception to that, whether you attend in person, or watch from the comfort of your own home. These are some of the moments in Mania that came at the right time, and the right place.

5 Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar Mania 38.

Even though nowadays Brock is considered Persona non grata in the WWE these days, this Match was part of first Mania that I reviewed. This Match gets a lot of hate. But I don't think it was that bad.

4 Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart Mania 12.

I was 9 years old when this happened. My mum at the time told me after this Match, that I could do anything, if I put my mind to it, so all all these years I'm a blogger. I guess you could say that the boyhood dream is slowly coming true.

3 The Hole Of Wrestlemania 16.

I have a good reason why this show has ended up on this list, now don't get me wrong Mania 16 wasn't the best show, that the WWE has ever put forward, but it was the first one that i watched with friends. Watching wrestling with the boys, and. Claire the only girl in our troupe. Priceless.

2. Roman Reigns vs The Undertaker Mania 32.

Look I get that this Match was a letdown, but for me it took me away from my worries. My worklife at this point was a major cause for concern. I managed to get through my issues as the months went.

1 The Boneyard Match.

The circumstances of this Match were a stark reminder, that at the worst of times, we all need some escapism. The world had been plunged into chaos, as the Pandemic took a grip on our society. Mark Calloway has gone on record to state that he was proud of this Match, given the situation that the world was in. It had reflections on his personal life as well, because his brother passed away at the same time.

Monday Night Raw Review

Intro.

Happy Mania week everyone. This is week that every wrestling fan looks forward too. I'm all here for it.

Superstars seen showing up.

Jey Uso. Penta. Finn Balor. Seth Rollins, and. Paul Heyman were all seen showing up to the arena.

Gunther Segment.

This wasn't supposed to happen until later on in the broadcast. But given the fact that Gunther was pissed off. He called Michael Cole to come into the ring, and he went on a tirade, slamming Jey Uso, saying that he's full of crap, but as the fan support for Uso grew. Gunther said screw everything, because he's the greatest World Heavyweight Champion of all time. He put over the balance of control, because on Saturday Jey is going to drown in his brothers blood, and afterwards Gunther is going to call his mum. Agh isn't that nice. I loved this segment.

Liv Morgan vs Bayley.

This was a clunky misfire, that never got out of the gates. Bayley got the win, now lets move on.

Rey Mysterio vs Julius Crede.

As this Match played out in my head, because CHAD GABLE IS EL GRANDE AMERICANO, ok Patrick calm down it's just a wrestling storyline. Rey got the win thanks to Chad, I mean EL Grande.

New Day vs The War Raiders At Wrestlemania.

The New Day vs The War Raiders at Wrestlemania, oh go on then WWE if you must.

AJ Styles vs Karrion Kross.

AJ Styles, beat Karrion Kross in a flat TV Match, and then had a meeting with Logan Paul. Everyone's favourite douchebag congratulated AJ, whilst insulting the fans. He said that AJ's win last night is the reason why their Match is going to cook on Sunday. He then pressented a film dedicated to his favourite subject, himself. AJ at this point was bored, and told Logan to get in the ring and they could fight right now. Karrion helped Logan get the upper hand on AJ, as the Crypto moron took laid him with an iron punch.

Jey Uso Segment.

I have no words to describe this segment, other flawless, his back and forth relationship with the fans, is something to be heard and seen. I love this man.

The Judgement Day Segment.

Bron Breakker got wrecked by The Judgement Day whilst he was being interviewed by Kathy Kelly, this would lead to the finish of the Penta vs Finn Balor, which got thrown out.

Womens Championship Vingnettes.

From the early stages of the broadcast, the three women in the Womens Championship Triple threat, and they were better than the actual build to the Match at Mania.

Roman Reigns Segment.

All of this was excellent, from the balance between love, and. betrayal. Seth Rollins doing his best Death Of A Salesman routine, and stating facts that Paul can't be trusted, whilst stating that Roman cares about Roman, because Seth does what is best for business, because paul made the choice to stand in Punks corner. Roman then decked Seth, and then shoved over his wiseman. Punk then came out to help his friend, but he ate a sphere, only for Seth to smash him in the back with a chair, calling back to how Seth broke up The Shield. This was a fantastic way to end the show.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw.

This was a decent go home show before the show of shows, and it's made me very excited for Mania this weekend.

This weeks Monday Night Raw is a solid 8/10.

My Top 5 Takeaways From Monday Night Raw.   Intro.  Pro Wrestling has a nasty habit of stoking the fires, whether it's from a stance of ...
