AEW Fright Night Dynamite Review 31.10.2024.

Intro.

I don't go in much on Halloween, usually I tend to sit around, and watch old Horror movies, which i'm a big fan of, and eat ludacris amounts of chocolate. But not this year. AEW have changed my normal routine, with Dynamite Fright Night. So gone is the Excorcist, and. Friday The 13th, is now a distant memory. And in it's place. Jon Moxley murdering people. God Bless Halloween.

Orange Cassidy Segment.

Orange Cassidy kicked off the show, by interrupting a Bcc video, that was captured after last weeks show. Cassidy praised the AEW locker room, calling them the future, but also giving them a stark warning, saying just how dangerous Jon Moxley is, he said that Jon doesn't need AEW, but. Orange does, he fires up, because he wants to stop Moxley, he went on to challenge him to a match, for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, at. Full Gear. Cassidy told Mox, that he isn't hard to find. I liked all of this. Cassidy's cool and calm delivery was captivating, and slightly unnerving, at the same time.

Mercedes Mone Arrives.

Mercedes Mone, was seen showing up to the show, and was being interviewed by Renee Paquette, about Kamille's chances against Kris Statlander later on tonight. And she replied by saying, just look at her of course she's going to win, more on his later.

Adam Cole vs Buddy Matthews.

This. Was. Simply sublime. From both men creating a solid flow, in the early stages, this allowed the match to have time to breathe, as their mesh of styles created magic. The physicality was turned up to 9 on the dial, and it stayed their through to the final stages. Cole was taken out, after his ankle played up. Buddy got on the mic, and called him out causing, him to come back into the ring. What came next was good series of exchanges, that gave way for Adam to get the win. Both men shook hands at the end, the lights went out, and when they came back on. Malakai Black was standing in front of him. This Match was confirmed later on for next week. also those two Panama sunrises were sensational. I liked all of this. Adam cut a promo on Max in the aftermath.

Private Party segment.

Private Party, were given some advice from Christopher Daniels. I love this man, and this team. Because their my best mates.

Kyle Fletcher Segment.

I liked all of this. Kyle Fletcher, has turned himself, into a 1980's action movie villain, and I love it. He tried to call out Will Osperay, but he wasn't in attendance, instead out came a returning. Mark Davies, their promo dual was fantastic, from the act of betrayal, to the choices that Mark is going have to make in the future, the promise is exciting here.

Hangman Adam Segment.

I have no other words, other than, this man is extremely captivating, and his promo here, calling on his history with Jay White, was excellent.

Mox And His Crew Segment.

All of this was excellent. Jon Moxley, and his band of mercinaries came to the ring, he said that, one day Orange Cassidy, and the fans will understand, why they are doing this. Chuck Taylor was a distraction, and a deadweight, and all he was trying to do was open up Oranges eyes. He flipped reversed Oranges challenge, and challenged him instead, telling him, that when he faces him, he won't face him on the top of the mountain, he will face him in the valley to die. Yuta was used as a sacrificial lamb, but this was just a rouse, to call out Cassidy, it worked. Cassidy was beaten down. The Dark Order came out to even the numbers. Darby Allin came out, from the rafters, and took out Claudio Castagnoli. Top Flight also came out, along with Private Party.

Private Party vs The Young Bucks AEW Tag Team Championships.

This. Was. Excellent. It had a differant kind of energy. The Match was fast paced from the outset, as the story of the Match unfolded. Isiah Cassidy was busted Open accidentally, by his Tag Team Partner Mark Qwen. The blood added drama to proceedings. Okada got involved, giving Qwen a piledriver on the stage. The movesets from both teams, were performed with ease, and the near falls were placed well, however the final exchanges, saw. Private Party get the win, and the belts. This. Was. A career defining moment taking place on national tv. The Bucks then vacated the building, after Postman Perry saw them shredding files. They left the arena, pissing off Christopher Daniels. Brandon Cutler was left behind, and was basically fed to the lions. Mox and his crew attacked Cutler, and. Daniels.

Jamie Hayter and Penelope Ford Segment.

I the only thing I have to say about this was. Just have the match already ladies.

Chris Jericho Segment.

I dispised this segment. Chris Jericho is a champion in our year of 2024, oh boy. God Bless you Mark Briscoe.

The Patriarchy Segment.

The Patriarchy said they will meet Hook next week.

Kamille vs Kris Statlander.

Kris Statlander, beat. Kamille, in a standard TV Match, and she was beaten down in the aftermath, by Mercedes Mone. This. Wasn't bad.

Swerve Strickland vs Shelton Benjamin.

I loved this. Both men showcased excellent chemistry, and the match was given time to breathe as a result, they played off of each others strengths. Swerve got the win with a stomp, and within seconds, the lights went out, and when they came back on. He came out. Bobby Lashley made his way to the stage. Bobby layed out Swerve, and. Nana, was taken out by MVP, as he proclaimed, that business has just picked up. This. Was. A sensational way to end this weeks broadcast.

Overview Of AEW Fright Night Dynamite.

This is one of the best episodes of Dynamite this year. The in-ring work flowed nicely, and the promos were sensational.

This Weeks Dynamite is a solid 9/10.

My Top Favourite Tag Teams Ever.

Intro.

HEY TAG TEAMS. Ok guys. I had to get my Butcher And The Blade reference out of the way, because if you know me, then, you know I love two things more than anything in life. Arsenal FC, and. Wrestling. Tag wrestling has a special place in my heart. The dynamics are special, and in some cases, they leave an endelible mark on my fandom, so here are some of my favourite Tag Teams.

5 The Outrunners.

I love these two. Truth Magnum, and. Turbo floyd, are simply 1980's perfection. Enough said.

4 Edge And Christian.

The WWF back in the late 1990's, and early 2000's, were enfused with Tag Team Wrestling. Edge And Christian, really wreaked of awesome, and as a 12 year old fan watching these guys, at that time in my life, was great, because me and my buddy Tim, would act like these two. I was Edge, and he was Christian. This is why they were so great. They didn't just have insane matches with The Hardy, and. The Dudley Boyz, they could also make you laugh, when you needed it most.

3 FTR.

From having class matches, to showing the world, that you can change your outlook, if you're not happy, with the current state you find yourself in. I love Dax, and. Cash.

2 The Uso's.

From setting the world alight with their matches against The New Day, to conquering, and fracturing the world, as part of The Bloodline. Their matches have never disapointed me.

1 The Young Bucks.

I've had the pleasure of watching these guys in person, their matches against FTR, are steller reminders, that Tag Team wrestling is an art form in its self. Their runs in ROH. NJPW, and. AEW are the stuff of legend. I'm an Elite Stan, and how they helped carve out the Hangman, and. Kenny Arch hasn't gone unnoticed. I love these guys.

My Top 5 Modern Day wrestlers

Intro.

With, both. WWE, and. AEW, currently working their way through their own transitions. I thought this would be a good time, to take a look, at the best performers in the industry working today.

5 Drew Mcintyre.

Andrew Galloway, better known to WWE fans as Drew Mcintyre, is a veteran of the business, who has worked to garner his reputation, from being released by the company back in 2014, and working his way up the chain in Impact wrestling, to returning back to WWE, thriving in NXT, and leaving his own stamp on the main roster, becoming a multi-time champion. His rivalry with Cm Punk, has been WWE's best TV output this year, in my opinion, and their Hell In A Cell encounter from the Bad Blood PLE, is my WWE Match of the year. This. Man can do no wrong.

4 MJF.

I love this man, if we ever meet in real life, I think he would probably hate me, but then again, what would I expect. I mean it's Maxwell Jacob Freeman afterall. His Matches, against the likes of. Ricky Starks. Jon Moxley. Cm Punk, and. Kenny Omega, have been must appointment viewing, and his promos have been scaving, just ask Lexis King. Cm Punk, and. Darby Allin. Methanie anyone. Yikes.

3 Jon Moxley.

As it stands right now, Jon Moxleys favourite hobbies, are. Causing carnage, and murdering people, but if you rewind your mind back to the pandemic, and beyond, he carried my hope, and belief, as things got worse, during those times. Jon Moxley has carried AEW through some testing times, and choppy waters. This man gets my respect instantly.

2 Kenny Omega.

From helping Jon Moxley guide a company through the pandemic, to having outstanding matches, and moulding one of the best stories, to ever grace the wrestling world. This. Man, needs to take his flowers. I'm not a religous man, but. God bless you Kenny.

1 Cody Rhodes.

This man is the definition of passion, his believibility, and outright chemistry with the fans, is nothing more than exceptional. He's a one man industry changer, and whether you like him or not. Cody right now is the man.

Monday Night Raw Review 29.10.2024.

Intro.

With the nights drawing in, and the days getting colder. WWE is seeming to be getting hotter. This. Is. One of my favourite times of year, to be a wrestling fan. This Saturday It's Crown Jewel, a show that revels in fan delight, whilst the wider world looks on in disgust. If you want to watch the show, then watch the show. Everyone has their own opinions on these events, and i'm no differant. Sport washing is bad, but it's up to you, to decide how you proceed.

Superstars Seen showing Up.

The Judgement Day, and. Seth Rollins, were seen showing up to the arena, later on The Human Oven, was told by Adam Pearce, that he would be facing Damien Priest, in the main event.

Jey Uso Segment.

I loved all of this. The fans giving Jey his flowers, is always a sight to be seen, as he entered throgh the fans. He runs through everything that has happened to him lately, guiding the fans through a yeetathon, he called out his brother Jimmy, and both men had a great promo dual. From Jeys hesistancy, to. Jimmy thanking him for turning up on Smackdown. Jey went through his achievements, but it doesn't topple being his his twin brother, and if he does reform with his brother, he doesn't want to be a sidekick, he wants to be the old Uso's. Solo and his new Bloodline attacked in the aftermath. But, it was Jimmy, and. Jey, who stood tall. Later on they would have meetings with Sami Zayn, this would act as an excellent episode long storythread, that was loaded with backstabbing easter eggs.

Sheamus vs Ludwig Kaiser.

Sheamus, beat. Ludwig Kaiser, in a solid match, that focused on their superb chemistry, and physicality. I liked all of this.

Rhea Ripley And Gunther Segments.

Rhea Ripley, and. Gunther, would then have, back to back segments, that focused on the same thing, their recent actions. I liked both of these segments.

Zelina Vega vs Ivy Nile.

Ivy Nile, beat. Zelina Vega, in a flat TV Match, that offered absolutely nothing.

Seth Rollins Segment.

I liked all of this. Seth came out, and said that he's on the hunt for a monster, and. Bronson Reed is that monster, because he's awoken something inside of him, that has been lost for some time. He's awoken, what he's capable of. Bronson then showed on the big screen, and told Seth, that if he wants a fight, he's in the car park of the arena. Both men, then engaged in a brawl, and. Seth took the worst of it, by taking a deathvalley driver through some well placed tables, near the equipment trucks.

R Truth Segment.

I''m just going to say, what I think, were all thinking. God Bless you R Truth. He stood up to The Miz, saying that he hopes The Wyatt Sick kill him, and he insulted Chad Gable, gaining great respect from The Alpha Academy. Whilst. The Miz, would go on to act like a big cry baby, leaving Karrion Kross to mop up his tears. ( Yeah I know that never happened, but it would be funny if it did.)

Tag Team Championship Final.

The War Raiders, beat. Rey Mysterio, and. Dragon Lee, and. The New day, in a storybased Match, that needed more time, because to me this felt a tad rushed. The New Day split is coming, and it's going to be emotional, if this story is your bag. Chad Gable got involved.

Damien Priest vs The Human Oven.

The Human Oven, beat. Damien Priest, in a nausiatingly bad TV Match, that was riddled with Shenanigans, from. The Judgement Day. The Oven, got the win, by roll up. Priest went balistic in the aftermath. I hated this Match.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw.

This Weeks Monday Night Raw, acted as a compulsive mix-bag, that had something for all. If you like The Bloodline, then the intrigue was there, and if you like, poor, to ok Matches, then WWE had you covered, what i'm trying to say is this. Enjoy, what you enjoy.

This weeks Monday Night Raw is 7/10.

My Top 5 Favourite Modern Day NXT Stars.

 Intro.

Even though I'm not the biggest fan of the current day. NXT Product, since the days when. He Who Shall Not Be Named, revamped it from the dreary skull and bones, decour, to Refreshers factory explosion, that it later went on to become. The talent however, has remained consistant, and has helped give  HBK's reputation, the monicker of, the cooker, and booker of the year. Here's my top 5 Favourite Modern Day NXT Stars.

5 Tony D'angelo.

This character was an early favourite of mine, from The Refreshers factory era of the brand. I loved his vingnettes, and his in-ring performances have gotten a lot better over time.

4 Oba Femi.

This man is the future of the industry, his stature is immense, and his in-ring pressence, is very cool. I love this man.

3 Roxanne Perez.

Roxanne Perez, needs to be moved to the main roster, because she's that good.

2 Cora Jade.

Cora Jade, is another performer, who needs to be on the main roster, because she's that damn good.

1 Trick Williams.

Trick Williams, is a consistant force in NXT, and is a talent with a very high ceiling. I want him on the main roster, because the matches that he could have, will take my breath away.

WWE NXT Halloween Havoc Review 28.10.2024.

Intro.

As this time off year, draws the nights in, and the weather gets colder. NXT of late, hasn't been as a bad as what i thought it would be. Now, don't get me wrong. I have gone a bit cold on the NXT product of late, in terms of their TV product, but in the terms of PLE's they always deliver.

Gigi Dolon Hype Video.

Gigi Dolon, introduced the show, hosting the intro hype video, It's great to see her back.

Tony D'angelo vs Oba Femi NXT North American Championship.

The ring announcer couldn't even get a word out, because both men started, to produce the carnage. Awesome table spots, and ladders, getting used as impliments, and help from the family, leading to Tony to retain his belt, after he gave Oba a spinebuster through a table. This. Was, an excellent opening match, and I had a lot of fun watching it.

Lexis King Segment.

William Regal, said that he will help the man with drawn on side burns, and will be in his corner, when he faces his son on Tuesday.

Roxanne Perez And Cora Jade vs Giulia And Stephanie Vaquer.

Stephanie Vaquer, and. Giulia, beat. Roxanne Perez, and. Cora Jade. I loved this match. I felt that the flow it had, helped the match to have time to breathe. The physicality was solid, and all four ladies painted their art, on this canvas.

WWE Superstars Halloween Suprise.

WWE Superstars, then felt up The Boogeyman. Byron Saxtons face was a picture.

Cedric Alexander Jevon Edwards Segment.

Cedric Alexander, gave. Jevon Edwards some advice. They will face the Tag Team Champions on Tuesday. Nathan Frasier, and. Axiom answered back later on.

Busted Open Radio On NXT.

Dave LaGrecca, and. Bully Ray, from Busted Open Radio, were on hosting duties. I understand why they're divisive figures, but I like their back and forth, on. Busted Open. Ridge Holland then got in Bully Rays face later on. This was the second time on the broadcast. Tatum Paxley then scared the daylights out of. Booker T, when she appeared from Case, that Wendy Choo, trapped her in on NXT this week. Also. Vic Joseph's David S Pumpkins Costume was inspired.

Andre Chase vs Ridge Holland Ambulance.

I had a lot of fun watching this. This. Was. A stipulation led ride, that didn't disapoint. Ambulance matches, do what they say on the tin, there not technical masterpieces, what we got here was a weapon induced piece of work, as a steel chair, a kendo stick, and a stretcher, were all used to full effect. Holland got the win, after he put his former Chase U mentor in an ambulance, slamming the door on his education. Right i'm going to send in application.

Gauntlet Match Kelani Jordan vs Fatal Influence.

I thought this match fell flat. Kelani saw off. Jasmine Nix, and. Jacy Jayne, but she couldn't get over Fallon Henley, as she became the new NXT North American Championship. She then tried to cut a promo, but. Zaria came out and laid waste to all of Fatal Influence. This was her second appearance on the show, as she stared down Cora Jade, and. Roxanne Perez, after their loss.

Devils Playground Ethan Page vs Trick Williams NXT Championship.

I liked all of this, except the ending that is. The match was a fine run through, complete with good weapon spots, including. Ethan Page, getting turned into a human pumpkin, both men fighting in the fans. Ethan was landed onto nuts, and bolts. Both men had fun with steel steps. And. Trick Williams, was put through the announcers table. The final stages of the match, saw the near falls, land into place well, and both mens final exchanges, led to the finish, allowing Trick to retain his belt, and then it happened. Ridge Holland came out, and attacked Trick. Bully Ray came out to make the save. I hated the ending. Bully stood tall, this takes away the fact that Developmentees, were meant to be standing tall. Instead  this made Trick look stupid, needing help from a 50 plus year old veteran. What's the point in that.

Over Of WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.

Poor ending aside, this was a decent show, that I had a lot of fun watching. The in-ring work went from good, to, great, and the promise that has been placed on NXT, makes me feel excited for the developmental brands future.

NXT Halloween Havoc 2024 is a high 8/10.

AEW Collision Review 27.10.2024

Intro.

When the weekend comes around. I get a bit excited, because it means two things. The first is Premier League Football, and the second is wrestling. Weekend wrestling, unlike my beloved Arsenal FC, never fails to leave me feeling satisfied. Due to my day job. I haven't been able to do a Smackdown Review, in over two weeks, and you know what, it's been a nice change of pace, because sometimes in life, the quiet lane, knows what's best.

Footage From After Dynamite.

Chuck Taylors was seen being taken out of the ring on a stretcher. Orange Cassidy lost his cool, and took out his frustraions on Daniel Garcia. He will face Mox on Dynamite this Wednesday. I loved this as an opening to the show. Just brilliant.

Jay White vs Shane Taylor.

Jay White, beat. Shane Taylor, in a solid match. The big vs small dynamic, was a well woven story arch that sold the physicality. Jay hit big Shane with his bladerunner finisher, for the win, and then cut a promo, putting over Taylor, whilst rubbing salt into the skin of Hangman Adam Page, he challenged Hangman to a match at Full Gear, that was later on made official, by Tony Khan. I liked all of this.

Kyle Fletcher Segment.

Kyle Fletcher, told Lexi Nair that he's here on family business, keeping an eye on Ricochet, for Takeshista, whilst sporting his new haircut. Kyle Fletcher 1980's action star. He will meet Will on Wednesday.

Penelope Ford vs Robyn Renegade.

Penelope Ford, beat Robyn Renegade, in a flat TV match, that offered nothing. And was then called out by Jamie Hayter on the big screen, in the aftermath.

FTRunners Segment.

I'm head over heels in love with this team, their promo, had me howling with laughter, like it was 1987. The Outrunners, then beat MxM Collection in a fun TV match.

Nigel Mcguinness, Wheeler Yuta Segment.

This. Was. Excellent. I loved all of this. From Nigels calm expodition, acting like a school teacher, who was calmly trying to understand why a student has done something potentially very serious, to. Yuta becoming, a calm cadaver whilst explaining his actions, for why he nearly left his mentor with altering injuries. All of this was excellent. Well done to both men.

Ricochet vs Lio Rush.

Ricochet, beat. Lio Rush in solid match, that was a beat by beat, stylistic clash, left me wanting more. Ricochet, got the win by sending a clear message to Takeshista.

Harley Cameron Segment.

Ok i'm going to explain this in the style of a famous 1980's cartoon. Feel the magic, feel the roar Thunder Cameron is loose. Thunder. Thunder. Thunder. Thunder Cameron. Hooooooooooo. Thunder Rosa, said that she's going to smack the paint from off of her face next week. I liked this.

The Beast Mortas Segment.

The Kingdom had a very nice gift for The Beast Mortas, a sweet box selection. This was an attempt to get him on their side. Lexi Nair, ask before you take someone else's sweets. Manners little lady. Manners.

Ana Jay vs Viva Van.

Ana Jay, beat. Viva Van, in a solid TV Match, and was then called out by Marieh May, in the aftermath. I liked all of this.

FTR vs Rush and Dralistico.

I liked all of this. FTR are one of my favourite Tag Teams to watch, and this match was the perfect examplication for why. The Physicality was on point, the match was given plenty of time to breathe. FTR got the win, with a shatter machine. The Beast Mortas, then helped his team in a beatdown on Dax, and. Cash, that was until, their new mates. The Outrunners came to make the save, as the show ended, with all four men flexing, like it was 1988.

Overview Of AEW Collision.

I had a lot of fun watching this weeks Collision, the in-ring work was solid, and the promos were decent.

This weeks AEW Collision is an enjoyable 7/10.

My Top 5 Jon Moxley Matches

Intro.

From being Ignored by a large corporation, to becoming the demented nuttcase he is today. Jon Moxley got me through the pandemic, and beyond, and has become a staple amongst fans, as he continnnnues to earn their respect.

5 Jon Moxley vs Hangman Adam Page Texas Death Match Revolution 2023.

In AEW Jon Moxley has become the stallwart for carnage, he's always been a company player, being there whenever he's been called upon, and on this night, he and Hangman Adam Page, didn't bring the house down, they created it in their image. A bloodstained canvas. I love this match.

4 Jon Moxley vs Chris Jericho Revolution 2020 AEW World Heavyweight Champion.

Even though I'm not the biggest Chris Jericho fan these days. I have to admit, he, and, Jon have great matches together, and this was one of them. It came at the right time, and was placed perfectly, as the build to the ppv ramped up, the excitement for the match grew, and it delivered. We love you Moxley, we do. We love Moxley, we do. We love you Moxley, we do, oh. Jon Moxley, we love you.

3 Jon Moxley vs MJF Full Gear 2022.

With the changing tides that AEW saw in 2022, there was one constant. Jon Moxley, his way of seeing what was working, and what wasn't, is something that I feel has gone unrecognised. MJF was on a speeding train, towards the AEW World Heavyweight championship, and to actions beyond Jons control, he took it upon himself to guide the company, through an incredibly troubling time. This, match was perfectly timed, and, a well executed piece of work.

2 Jon Moxley vs Kenny Omega AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming 2020.

A changing of the guard was coming. Moxley had held the Championship since Febuary 2020, and his time at the top, was coming to an end, and. Kenny Omega, was on the rise, and his next step towards dominance, came when he had to topple the king, and that he did. Jon helped make this rivalry feel, visceral, and violent, before a move had been made, due to his promos, delving into the realm of believability. You add all of this together, and what do you get, well magic. Let's be honest.

1 Jon Moxley vs Wheeler Yuta AEW Rampage March 2022.

This. Is, by far the best Match Jon has ever had in AEW. If you haven't seen it, then I urge you to give it a watch, because this was gold.

My Top 5 AEW Championship.

Intro

Over its early five years. AEW has had some mind altering Championship Matches. Are a select few of my favourites.

5 Will Osperay vs MJF AEW International Championship 2024 All In.

Ok. I'm going to sound a bit biased, because I was there, but this match was an excellent spectacle, and well worthy of its five star rating, from my idol. Big daddy Dave Meltzer. The physicality, and, storytelling, was off the chain, and I think I lost my voice twice, during this match.

4 MJF vs Adam Cole AEW All In 2023.

In a match that I dubbed. The Battle Of The Brochatchos, you could see the next four months worth of storytelling, being laid out in front of our very eyes. Even though that creative did fall by the wayside. This match acted as an interesting paradox. Their chemistry was palpable, as the stage was set, for something that UK fans wouldn't forget. I was also in attendance for this show, and I remember crying at the end, because I never thought I would ever be able to go to a big wrestling show, on these shores. This. Was. A perfect main event.

3 Jon Moxley vs Eddie Kingston Full Gear 2020.

As the way that the industry stood in 2020, the added art of Groteque in Pro Wrestling, had been given a new lease on life. AEW were not afraid to venture to places, that there counterparts in Stamford Conneticut, had distanced themselves from. This. Match, is the perfect example of bloodsoaked carnage, being turned into beauty, and served up to the masses.

2 Hangman Adam Page vs Kenny Omega Full Gear 2021.

What can I say about this match, that hasn't been said before, other than, this was a perfect way to cap off a two year story arch, well, as it turns out. I just did.

1 Bryan Danielson vs Swerve Strickland AEW World Heavyweight Championship AEW All In 2024.

If a matches final result, leaves me in a flood of tears at the end, then you know something special has unfolded. enough said.

AEW Dynamite Review 24.10.2024

Intro

I have to say, i'm starting to like the new direction that AEW is heading. I can understand why some longtime fans, may feel differantly, but to me. Dynamite is the reason that I enjoy waking up early on a Thursday morning. Next weeks card is looking very good indeed.

Jon Moxley Opening Segment

I liked this. As the Highlights of the past few weeks played out, as Moxley narrated us through his murderous mindset. That worked as a Remember,  that he, and his mates are doing this for the greater good. The camera then showed a linch mob outside the arena, this was a weak episode running thread. Chuck Taylor, later tried to get through to Orange Cassidy.

Hangman Adam Page Segment

Tony Schiavone, Interviewed. Hangman Adam Page. Hangman tried to talk about his reign of battering the Bang Bang Gang, but he was attacked by Colton Gunn, and when he was about to strangle him. Gunn was saved by Jay White, and. Juice Robinson, who chased off the raving nutter. White then cut a promo on Hangman, telling him to ice his knee, and he will see him soon. This was a mix-bag.

Sammy Guervara vs Shelton Benjamin

I liked this. The match had a decent flow to it, and both men showcased their excellent chemistry, and physicality. This Match was given plenty of time to breathe. Shelton got the win.

Marieh May Segment.

Renee Paquette, tried to get a word with Marieh May, but she was more interested in chucking out Ana Jay's luggage from the locker room, Ana saw this, and both ladies had a fight. Just have the match already.

Kyle Fletcher Segment.

This. Was. A lot better than last weeks segment. Damn It Don Callis handed Kyle the mic, and he led us down the road, of a promo tour de force 101. I liked all of this, It felt fresh. It felt relevant, and it felt highly visceral, as Don handed him a head shaver. Kyle took the blades, to his awesome locks, and called out his former best friend, to meet him, face to face, next week. I loved this, The NJPW references were a nice touch, because the relevence of friendship, has now been burn t to the ground.

Ricochet Segment.

Ricochet, was being interviewed by Renee Paquette, when enter stage left came. MVP, and just like that my mind goes back to 2020 Pandemic era WWE. Thanks AEW.

Brian Cage and Lance Archer vs Some Local Jobbers.

Brian Cage, and. Lance Archer, beat some Local Jobbers, in a pointless TV Match, yeah I know. I don't know why this was on the card either.

Mark Briscoe vs Chris Jericho Ladder War ROH World Championship.

Even though, nowadays, i'm not the biggest fan of Chris Jericho's. I had a blast watching this. He took an awesome looking table spot within the first minute of the match. Mark got supplexed through a ladder, just seconds later. As the blood started to flow down Marks face, Jericho upped the violence, and let his sadistic side come out to play, this only fired Mark up, as he gave Chris a Death Valley Driver, through a possitioned ladder in the corner of the ring. The match was given time to breathe. Rocky Romero stopped Bryan Keith, from getting involved, but he couldn't stop Big Bill, who carried his leaders weakened body up the ladder, after Briscoe had given him a froggy bow elbow drop, from off the top of the ladder. I liked the match. I just hated the finish, Also Chris Jericho is a champion in our year of 2024. Oh Joy. Let the sarcasm reign down.

Adam Cole Segment.

I'm not sure what to make of this. Adam Cole came out, and before he could even get a word out, he was interrupted by. Roderick Strong, and. The Kingdom. I hated this. Their dialogue was woeful. as it delved into what we already know. MJF is a scumbag. Max then appeared on the big screen, getting a message, he told both men, that if they want a match against him, then you've got to go through three opponents, and if one of them does that, he will face the winner at Full Gear. I didn't like any of this. I feels like a convoluted way to get to the Fireworks Factory.

Jamie Hayter Segment.

Jamie Hayter, called out Penelope Ford, for a Match in two weeks time. Now this is more like it.

House Of Black vs Local Jobbers.

The House Of Black, beat some local Jobbers, and. Buddy Mathews, called out Adam Cole, who then confronted him backstage. The promise sounds appateising.

Camille vs Queen Aminata.

Camille beat. Queen Aminata, in a decent TV Match, and then had an stair down with Kris Statlander, which turned into a beatdown angle. Mercedes Mone tried to bodyshame Statlander. Not Cool.

Hook Segment.

Hook marched to the ring, to confront his dads attacker, or in this case attackers. Because it was The Patriarchy. Christian put a beating on Hook, and Kip Sabian helped. Nick Wayne, also got in his licks. This was Predictable.

The Elite vs Private Party and Daniel Garcia.

I liked this. The Match had a solid flow to it. Tony Schiavone was seen getting down with his bad self. Daniel Garcia had a date with the time keepers table. Private Party got the win, after a solid final exchange by roll up. The aftermath saw Isiah Cassidy take to the mic, and challenge The Bucks one last time, for their Tag Team Championships, and if they lose, then they will go their seperate ways. Noooooooooooooooooooo, not my best friends, just as the dust had settled on my tears. Marina Shafir showed up in the car park in the truck from Earlier, but this was rouse as the. Greater Good attacked from behind, allowing Moxley to become Alex Delarge, and orchanstrate his violence towards Chuck Taylor. Orange Cassidy, was to late to save his friend, and the broadcast ended on his devastated face, as medical staff tried to help Chuck.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

When I was a kid, every Saturday my family would go to Princess Risborough, my dad would head to the local bookies, and my mum would take me, and my older brother to the local Fourboys newsagent, my brother would look at the toys, and I would tag along, but my mum would always pull me away, and get me to look at the Pick'n mix, because I had learning issues, and couldn't read she would always help me pick my sweats, and she would shove a load of disgusting liqourice in the bag. Basically what i'm trying to say is this. Wrestling is like pick'n Mix, you eat what you like, and leave what you don't.

By AEW Standards. This weeks Dynamite is a mid 6/10.

My Top 5 Worst  Wrestlers Ever.

Intro

Over the past few years. I have been asking myself the same question, when it comes to Pro wrestling. Who's the worst Pro wrestler ever? So I decided, to try and answer that question.

5 The Ultimate Warrior.

before I realised that he wasn't a particuarly nice human being. I used to love the man, who legally changed his name to Warrior, however his moveset, was very stagnant, and after a while, he became boring.

4 David Flair.

I'm having horror flashbacks, just thinking about this mans attempt at wrestling. I'm going to go and have a lye down.

3 Hulk Hogan.

Hulk Hogan is an interesting paradox, that as a child I loved, however as I got older, his in ring work got worse, as he continued to revive his career, as part of the groundbreaking NWO faction.

2 Lex Luger

I don't know why I didn't like Lex Luger. I could just never get into his work. I tried, oh boy I tried.

1 Bill Goldberg.

Don't get me wrong, i'm slamming Bill. I think he did ok, with the tools that he was given, however the way that the industry was shaped at the time, acted more like a hindrance, and not a help, he was fast rushed way before his time.

 My Top 5 Eddie Guerrero

Intro

I've been waiting to write this list for quite some time, because it's all about lying, cheating, and, stealing. As you can tell i'm a big fan of the man known as. Latino Heat, better known as. Eddie Guerrero, over the years his matches have still been able to capture my imagination, and even though he left us at the young age of 38, his impact is still felt on the industry, and how wrestlers work today. These are. My Top 5 Eddie Guerrero matches

5 Eddie Guerrero vs Edge Smackdown 26th Of December 2002.

As the years have gone on, this match has become an underrated classic, both men had fantasic chemistry, and this match showcased, as the violence allowed the story of the match, to gain in depth. This match needs to get it's flowers.

4 Eddie Guerrero vs Jeff Hardy Smackdown 1st Of June 2000.

Watching wrestling in my pre-teens, was a joy, and this match is a great example of that. Eddie was in his prime, and Jeff was an upstart, who had made his name being part of a tag with his brother. Both mens chemistry oozed out from the canvas on this night.

3 Eddie Guerrero vs Dean Malenko ECW 21st of July 1995.

This match, is a must watch, if you're a fan of technical wrestling. Move by move, and counter by counter, this match is perfect.

2 Eddie Guerrero vs Juvetude Guerra WCW Nitro 8th Of March 1998.

If you were a fan of WCW in the late nineties, then, you would be aware, that the multi-millionaire main eventers, were oversaturating the product, and it was starting to show in the weekly ratings, but if you paid attention to the midcard, you would be treated to a fine conveyor belt of talent, from across the globe. Juvetude, and. Eddie wanted some of main attention, and given the way that the company was going, putting on the best show they can, was the only way to do it. This match is an underrated gem, and a must watch, if you're a fan of Mexican Flare.

1 Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio WCW Halloween Havoc 1997.

I'm not going to go into too much detail about this match, because in reality. It's a masterpiece, and a must watch.

Monday Night Raw Review 22.10.2024

Intro.

As WWE's latest verse into sport washing comes even closer. The build is starting to come along nicely. Gunther vs Cody, is looking tasty, and. Nia vs The Mulletchaser, is an intriguing affair, that on paper could work. Under HHH reign, the Saudi shows have been treated with an extra layer of respect, and even though I don't agree with sport washing. I'm not going to slam Saudi Arabian fans, who don't get the chance to see their favourite superstars, because as a lifelong wrestling fan. I have learnt over the years, that gloating is an ugly human trait, that should hold no weight, in the wrestling world.

No Ordinary Superstars Showing Up Segment.

Jey Uso. Bron Breakker. Rey Mysterio, and. Dragon Lee, and. Bronson Reed, were all seen showing up to the venue. Seth Rollins attacked Bronson, as he was turning up. Seth went out to the ring, and called out Big Bronson. Both men had a fight, that security tried to pull apart, but they failed. Big Bronson tried to put Seth away with a tsunami, but, he ended up going through the announcers table. I liked this. Security got manhandled, and. Adam Pearce was pissed off with the pair of them, so he gave them what they wanted. A match at Crown Jewel. Pearce mate, go and have a beer. I think you've earnt it.

Damage Ctrl Segment.

Damage Ctrl, challenged. The Mulletchaser, and. Raquel Rodriguez to a match later on, after they interrupted. Iyo, and. Kairi's interview segment. The match was later thrown out. When Lash Legend, and. Jakara Jackson, from NXT got involved. Rhea came out to make the save, she attacked. The Mulletchaser. Raquel Rodriguez ate a headbutt sandwich, and. The Human Oven, was almost made an example of. I married this together, because it was all terrible. The Judgement Days, new clubhouse looks weird, also. One day Gunther is going to kill The Human Oven, he will face a former Heavyweight Champion next week.

Tag Team Tournament The New Day vs AOP.

I didn't like this. This shenanigans led match, was a farce, and a waste of time. The New Day won. The Miz, who was at ringside, got attacked by R Truth, and. The Wyatt Sick, targetted. The Final Testement.

Tag Team Tournament Match LWO vs American Made.

Finally something good has happened, on this so far, drab episode of weekly tv. Rey Mysterio, and. Dragon Lee, advance to the next round of the tournament, after beating American Made, in a fun match. Zelina gave Chad the shoe treatment, and you know what that means, he messed up.

Gunther Segment.

Gunther, told. Kathy Kelly, that he will see Cody on Smackdown this Friday. Damian Priest then said, that he wants another piece of Gunther, when he's done with Cody. I liked this.

Bron Breakker vs Jey Uso Ic Championship match.

I had a lot of fun watching this at 7.30am, here in the UK, from the good physicality that was on display, to the family dynamics, becoming the vocal point of the story, when. Solo, and his Bloodline turned, and helped Jey Lose, what was his. Jakub, and. Bron had a stair down, that teased something for the future, as. Adam Pearce had the Tonga brothers escorted from the arena, allowing Bron to take advantage of a weakened Uso, who had been Back dropped onto the announcers table, by his cousin Jakub. Bron gave him a sphere, and is now a two time Intercontinental Champion.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw

This weeks Raw, like I have said plenty of times in the past, resembled a confusing bag of Pick'n Mix, you eat the sweats you like, and leave the ones you don't.

This weeks Monday Night Raw is a 6/10.

My Top 5 AEW Mistakes

intro

AEW are producing my favourite weekly TV, in terms of Pro wrestling at this minute, but they're also not perfect, and they have made some pretty big mistakes over the years.

5 The Booking of Jay white In 2023

How do you take one of the worlds best talents, and then drop the ball on him? this is a question, that I keep coming back to, when it comes to Jay White. Now, don't get me wrong. I love White as a single wrestler. I just don't think that teaming him with The Gunns, and. Juice Robinson, did anything to help him, and placing him in a pointless feud with MJF, that was laced with anti semitism, wasn't a good move.

4 Tony Khan on X

Tony Khan is an interesting paradox, when you look at Wrestling promoters, he isn't perfect, not by any stretch, however over the past year, his X game, has calmed down, because when the year kicked off, he was a hot mess of fire, that was hell bent on bringing down the world, one tweet at a time.

3. 2023 booking.

AEW's booking in 2023, yeah. It didn't always slap that hard did it. It was clear that Tony Khan needed help.

2 His Attitude Towards Chris Jericho.

It's no secret that i'm not a big fan of Chris Jericho, and this all started after the Worlds End PPV press conference, when he asked by the press, has Chris Jericho ever been investigated for sexual misconduct, he said that he wasn't going to be delving into online rumours. I think these rumours are true, and the man Chris tries to portray on tv. doesn't match the person who he is out of the ring.

1 The Hiring Of Ric Flair

In late 2021, an episode of Darkside Of The Ring, focused on the outright debauchery that took place on a flight taking WWE superstars, back to the States. This lives in infamy for all the wrong reasons, as tales of harressment, and sexual assault, came to light. Ric Flair was accused of assault by an airline stewardness, after he backed her into a corner, at the time. AEW was considering bringing in Flair, to be Andrade El Idolo's manager, but these plans were cancelled, after the alligations came to light. He was brought in as part of Stings retirement, in 2023 and it was met with wide condemnation, especially when back in 2020, AEW released, an suspended, individuals, when accusations came to the forefront, during the speaking out movement of that year. If you do your research. Flair is an individual who we need to talk about, because conversations need to be had.

My Top 5 Underrated Wrestling Matches

Intro

What is the definition, of the word underrated? To me the answer is simple. It means. A match that has gone under the radar, but due to education surrounding the industry, has been looked at in a differant light. Here are my top examples of this.

5 Kenny Omega vs El Hiro Del Vikingo AEW Dynamite 22nd Of March 2023.

This. Was one of the best TV matches from last year, and in my opinion, it went heavily under looked. Omega had another year in ring, working for Tony Khans little promotion, and this was a highlight, in my opinion.

4 Bret Hart vs Mr Perfect Intercontinental Championship Summerslam 1991.

The only thing I can say about this match, is this. It's simply perfect, and is essential viewing.

3 Bret Hart vs A Monster WCW Nitro 1999.

Bret Hart, lived by the monicker. The Best There Is. The Best There Was. And The Best There Ever Will Be, and this match was his way of getting younger talent over, this would come at the behest of older talent, holding younger talent down. This. Match is sublime viewing. But unfortunately due to his opponents actions eight years later. The Monster would be banished from all memory by the WWE.

2 Kurt Angle vs The Monster WrestleMania 17.

This. Is a technical clinic, that needs to beholded as a classic, but due to the actions of The Monster, that would come six years later. This. Match now gets looked at in a differant light, and I get why.

1 Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerro WCW Halloween Havoc 1997.

This. Is in the list of my favourite wrestling matches ever, but nowadays, it gets overlooked, and that's a shame, because these guys had incredible chemistry, and their physicality was never matched by anyone else. I love this match.

Top 5 Songs That Have Shaped my Wrestling Fandom

Intro

Music has been called the great cummunicater, and the right song, being played at the right time, can trigger the emotions, and spark something in your mind. Wrestling is no differant, in my opinion, whether it's live performances, or me soundtracking my life. Music is very important to me.

5 Jelly Roll Higher Than Heaven.

I'm going to start with something new, and a bit of a weird one, because not many people know that I love Country music. This song is the embodiment of achieving your dreams. The themes of addiction, and mental health, are something that can't be ignored. How does this coincide with Wrestling, well, let me tell you something. Writing is my addiction, and I decided to go down this path, at a difficult time in my life.

4 Points Of Authority Linkin Park.

Agh yes my teen years. The years that formulted my adult years. If you were a wrestling fan in these times, then you could soundtrack any wrestling show, with Linkin Parks music. It's safe to say that this band saved my life, and this song is the Embodiment of what the WWF was like, from the years of 1998-2001. Forfit the game before somebody else takes you out of the frame, is the definition of winning a championship belt.

3 Valley Of Chrome Cypress Hill.

I'm a massive Cypress Hill fan, and when I used train in Karate, this would be my ultimate training jam. The amount of times I punched people in the face, to this music. I lost count.

2 Pantera Cowboys From Hell.

Ok. I'm just going to get this out of the way. I don't agree with the stupid, and idiotic things that Phil Anselmo has said over the years. I love this band. Cowboys From Hell, is a standout track, to the point that, if it was released in the early noughties, and not the early nineties, this wouldn't look out of place, as background music, for a WWE PPV. Wrestling, and. Heavy Metal music, have always gone hand in hand. Heavy Music is a massive part of my life, and this track, would be my walk out music, from back in the day, if I was a Pro Wrestler.

1 Limp Bizkit My Way.

Nowadays I'm not the biggest fan of Limp Bizkit, but if you were a fan of the WWF back in 2001, then you'll have memories of this song, being the main soundtrack for WrestleMania 17, an epic promo video, using this track acted to bring my excitement, up to a whole new level. This is the perfect example of great soundtracking, creating everlasting memories.

AEW Collision Review

 Apology

I'm starting off this review, by saying. My apologies for the fact, there was no Smackdown review this week. This. Was. Due, to my day job needing my full attention. I love the fact, that I can come on here, and give you guys something, that I have poured my energy, and enthusiasm into, so having to take a break due to my day jod, at times will be needed. You guys know that I love the fact, that you guys check me out, and It never gets taken forgranted.

Jon Moxley Promo.

I can understand why some people may not like this act. But, if i'm honest. I find Jon Moxley, and his crew to be, unnerving, yet enthralling, and his promo here, was sublime, from its promise, to its execution. I loved this.

Ricochet vs AR Fox.

I liked this. It was a lofi slow burner, that turned into a physical melting pot, from both mens movesets, counteracting each others perfectly, to the physicality, being performed with grace. Ricochet got the win, and went straight into Calling out Konosuke Takeshista, he said that he will be ready, and whoever Takeshista is with, he will face them, and become the new AEW International Champion. So far, so good.

Daniel Garcia And Private Party Segment.

Daniel Garcia, and. Private Party, cut a promo on Jon Moxley, and. The Elite, this was decent stuff.

Kris Statlander vs Harley Cameron.

Kris Statlander, beat. Harley Cameron, in a flat TV match, and then called out Camille, the pair will face each other, in two weeks time, at the Dynamite Fright Night.

Daniel Garcia And Private Party vs The Premier Athletes.

Daniel Garcia, and. Private Party, beat. The Premier Athletes in a decent, but uneventful TV match.

Orange Cassidy vs Bronson.

Orange Cassidy, beat. Bronson of The Iron Savages, in a shenanigans led TV match. This. Was, a mere squash match.

Jamie Hayter vs Brooke Havoc.

Jamie Hayter, beat. Brooke Havoc, in a standard TV match. Penelope Ford then called her out in the aftermath, by cutting a scathing promo on her.

Kyle Fletcher vs Atlantis Jnr.

This. Was yet another lofi slow burner, that gravitated into a great mesh of styles. Fletcher got the win, and in the aftermath. Damn It Don Callis gave him the mic, and. Kyle told us, that he's ready to talk, and he will do so, this wednesday, and we will all listen, including Osperay. This is good direction going into AEW's next PPV. Full Gear. I liked this.

The House Of Black vs Some Local Jobbers.

I don't mean to be rude about the guys that The House Of Black murdered, because I forgot there names. The House Of Black got the win. My apologies.

Thunder Rosa Segment

I laughed my ass off watching this segment. Lexi Nair, was interviewing Thunder Rosa, when Harley Cameron entered stage left, she started whining, and complaining, until Thunder Rosa snapped, and clocked her, leaving her complaining on the floor like a Disney Villain. You love to see it.

The Outrunners vs LFI

LFI, beat. The Outrunners, in a fun TV match, thanks to a load of cheating. I love The Outrunners, as much as I love. The Never Ending Story. Bastian SAY MY NAME.

Sammy Guervara Segment

Sammy Guevara, on this weeks Dynamite, will face Shelton Benjamin. I love watching people, achieve life long dreams.

The Pacpool Combat Club vs Top Flight And Action Andretti AEW Trios Championship.

This. Was. A solid match, with a fluid groove, however, the match steered into the realm of predictability. Pac put away Dante Martin, with a Tombstone Piledriver, and then the it all kicked off. Moxley came out, with Marina Shafir. Leila Grey got taken out by Marina Shafir, and just like that. The carnage started, as the show faded to black.

Overview Of AEW Collision

I had a good time watching AEW Collision this week, the action, in places went from flat, to solid, and the promos were strong.

This weeks AEW Collision is a strong 7/10.

My Top 5 WWE in Your House Matches

Intro

Agh yes the nineties. In Pro wrestling the times they were a changing. WCW was making moves changes, that would shape the industry, until that company folded itself into a box, that the then WWF, would eventually buy in the early 2000's. The WWF would also see some changes, that would see the company struggle, and try to figure out how to compete, amongst a sea of controversy, the best example of this, is this. Back in 1994, the WWF made the changes to their PPV output that in some terms, showed their fight, when their TV output failed to cater to a younger audience. Ok guys sing it with me, with your best Jeff Jarrett voices. Were In Your House. Extremewrestlingreviews1.Blogspot.com is in your house tonight.

5. Bret Hart vs Hakushi In Your House 14th Of May 1995

As most of you will know. I'm a massive Bret Hart fan. And this match back when I was a kid, meant everything to me, from having the anticipation of watching my hero, at my mates house after school, to having to avoid my brother in the aftermath, who hates wrestling, and always wanted to ruin it for me. Bret never had a bad match, and this was a perfect example of that statement.

4. HHH vs Henry O Goodwin In Your House 17th Of December 1995.

Have you ever wondered, what it would look like, if the current head of WWE creative, had a load of s*** planted over his head, well now you can, because this stank, in all the best ways.

3. 10 Man Tag Match Canadian Stampede.

As a wrestling fed head from back in the day, this stands out to me as a reminder, that time has no boundaries. The Hart Foundation, beat. Stone Cold Steve Austin. Golddust. LOD, and. Ken Shamrock, and as a ten year old watching this masteroiece of storytelling. I couldn't help but think, that I should enjoy what I was seeing, and I was right because by the end of 1997. Bret would be out of the federation.

2 The Undertaker vs Mankind Buried Alive Match.

The ending to this match, terrified the daylights out of me as a kid. The Undertaker vs Mankind had a fantastic rivalry at this point, even though there Hell In A Cell encounter, that came two years later, would set the tone for how violence can be portrayed on wretling television. I feel that this match, was the centre piece for the chaos that came later.

1 Bret Hart vs The British Bulldog 17th Of December 1995.

I have waxed lyrical about this match on several occassions, and I will continue to do so, because my god, these two created magic, whenever they were in the ring together. I love this match.

My Top 5 AJ Styles Matches

Intro,

With The Phenomonal one out injured at the minute. I figured this would be a good time, to take a trip down memory lane, and take a look at some of his best matches, please bare in mind that these arte just my opinions, and if yours are differant, then that's great.

5 Aj Styles vs Roman Reigns Extreme Rules 2016.

As the 2010's had barely got out of the mid stage, emerging talent was being spotted, from the like of. Kenny Omega. The Young Bucks. Jay White, and. Prince Devitt, better known as Finn Balor, as these names painted their own canvas, in NJPW. But, it was a face that left that place, that would go on to enrich his own legacy. AJ would end up in WWE, after leaving NJPW in late 2015, he would debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble, and would go on to excellent feuds, with the likes of. John Cena. Randy Orton, and of course. Roman Reigns. His match at Extreme Rules 2016 against Reigns, was held under the stipulation of an Extreme Rules match, and this was the perfect levy, to break in a new Champion. AJ's counteractions with Roman were great, and their back and forth chemistry was fantastic. Roman, at this point was a million miles away, from becoming my Tribal Chief, but as an overall in ring workman, all the tools were there, even if he was swimming in a pool of hatred.

4 AJ Styles vs John Cena Summerslam 2016.

In annals of Summerslam history. I feel this match gets heavily overlooked. Both men had fantastic chemistry, and on this night, in my opinion, they brought the house down. I love this match.

3 AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura IWGP International Championship NJPW Wrestle Kingdom

I you have never seen this match, then I urge you to go and watch it right now, because it's a modern day run through of styles meshing, in order to make a captivating story. I have no other words.

2 AJ Styles vs Kazuchika Okada NJPW October 12th 2015

Even though both men are going a stagnant periods in their respective companies at this minute. This match was the reason that AJ became a hot free agent, their chemistry, and, physicality on this night, was perfect, and in the years since. Okada has managed to out do this, with matches against Nito, and Omega. I feel it was this match, that put him over as a star. AJ made someone a star, on his way out of a company, showing what a real man, and competitor that he is.

1 AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle TNA House Show Wembley Arena January 30th 2010

Apologies in advance for this one guys, because i'm going to come across a bit biased, well, because I witnessed this one in person. House shows are a lot of fun, and this was the embodiment of that, these too worked for over 30 minutes, for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. This. Was perfect.

AEW Dynamite Review 17.10.2024

Intro

It's been five days since the acts of betrayal, sent shockwaves throughout the industry. Danielsons move into a part time position, is something that my brain is still coming to terms with. His exit, has hit differant with me on so many levels. As a fan. I will miss him, but as a human being. I know that it's for the best. Thank you Danielson. This. Indeed. Was the final countdown of The American Dragon.

Jon Moxley Segment

Control, fear, and power, were the starting point of this broadcast, as. Moxley and his crew, want to echo change in AEW, and if you're not down with that, then get out of their way. I loved this. It was an excellent episode long through story.

Adam Cole Segment

I can't express how exciting I am to see this man back in a wrestling ring, he said that he's going it alone, and how the industry has differant shades of grey, and that he had to counteract evil with evil, when dealing with MJF, he isn't stupid, because were starting to see the real MJF, he only cares about himself, he called him fake, and a scared little boy. AEW has some of the best talent in the world, and he doesn't want them to follow the same path that Max, has followed, because it leads to, loneliness, and failure, he said that no one likes Max, he then went into business, and called out Max. His music played over the pa system, but he didn't come out, instead he appeared by Video message. This added an extra layer of intrigue, as he revealed that his friendship with Cole, brought down his wall of trust, and that the person that he created, has left a void, that Adam created. Adam walked out of the ring, saying that he wished he had never met Max. I liked all of this.

Chris Jericho Segment

Chris Jericho, told. Renee Paquette, that he wants a rematch against Mark Briscoe, for his ROH Championship. Briscoe counteracted this later on, and challenged him to a ladder match, which was confirmed later on for next week. Mark get out of the Jericho Midcard vortex, for the love of your own career.

FTR vs Big Bill And Bryan Keith Charity Match.

I liked this match, because it was a nice reminder, that the industry has a human side. FTR got the win. If anyone in the states has been effected by the recent hurricanes, the only thing I can say, from my view point, living over here in the UK. Is I hope you guys are ok.

The Aclaimed Segment.

The Aclaimed, had a meeting with MVP, and Shelton Benjamin, after they interrupted their segment with Renee Paquette. Daddyass was like. Yeah, i'm going to the gym.

Mercedes Mone vs Queen Aminata AEW TBS Championship.

I didn't like this. It felt a bit flat. It did pick up, but it was too little, too late. Mercedes retained her belt. This wasn't good.

Private Party Segment

Private Party brought in The Young Bucks, to ask for another oppotunity, to face them, for their Tag Team Championships, but The Bucks were like, Nah you're done, Stokeley Hathaway then stepped in, and put the seed of seperation into both mens heads.

The Elite Segment And Match against The Conglomeration.

The Elite teased the return of Kenny Omega, the only way they could, by getting Jack Perry, and. Okada, to cut a scathing promo on him, including their newest member. Meat. I loved this. Their match against The Conglomeration, was thrown out, when. Wheeler Yuta got involved, the rest of The BCC came out, and this sparked all out carnage. Private Party came out, with Top Flight, and. The Dark Order, but they failed in their attempts to stop this. Moxley cut a promo, saying that everyone is under attack, and that Carnage is the only to do business. The Bucks, just stood their and watched as this unfolded. Daniel Garcia, and. Private Party, confronted them later on, They will face The Elite next week. The Dark Order, and. Top Flight called out Mox, and his crew, saying that they will see them on Collision.

Lio Rush vs Shelton Benjamin

Shelton Benjamin, beat. Lio Rush, in a decent tv match. The aftermath saw MVP cut a promo on Rush, and. Strickland, he said that Swerve will have to Shelton at a later date. Swerve counteracted this later on. The pair will face each other in two weeks.

Don Callis Press Conference

I didn't like any of this, from it's predictable, to Kyle Fletchers. You People Promo. I don't know what else to say. Taking jabs at the media isn't funny. It's sad.

Marieh May Segment

Marieh May, then said that AEW has no competition. Ana Jay took acception to this, and When Christopher Daniels tried to intervene, he got clocked in the face by Jay. You love to see it.

Jay White vs Christian Cage

This match, was, well, a bit weird, the physicality was decent enough, but the finish, was a mess. Hangman Adam Page, and. Kip Sabian, got their ques mixed up, and the finish ended up being a botch. This was a shallow way to end what was a good episode, of weekly TV.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite

Was this weeks AEW Dynamite any good, well if i'm honest. I'm not sure. Yes their was some good stuff on the show, but overall, this left me feeling a bit confused. The promo's were excellent, but the in ring work was very mixed, it went from solid, to poor, and back to solid again. I like the direction the company is heading, but I think that there are going to be more milestones, that they will need to beat, in order to come back to the pomp from 2021.

This Weeks AEW Dynamite is a high 7/10.

Monday Night Raw 15.10.2024

Intro

It's official were in sports washing season people. Even though I have my views on WWE's Saudi Arabian deal. I do think that it's important to not shower hate on anyone who wants to watch the shows. Were all differant, with a vast range of opinions, what i'm trying to say is this. If I didn't review wrestling shows. I wouldn't watch these, basic attempt at brain rotting narsacism, but that doesn't mean that the man, or, women standing next to me shouldn't like what they like. Were all differant.

Superstars Show Up

Gunther. Damage Ctrl. Bianca, and. Jade. Cody Rhodes, and. Rhea Ripley, were seen showing up to the arena.

Rhea Ripley Segment

Rhea was given the walkthrough treatment, as her star power kicked the show off, she called out The Mulletchaser, and. The Human Oven, instead what she got was Tiffany Stratton, walking out. Both ladies engaged in a fairly flat promo dual, as little ms Tiffany told Rhea, not to get in Nia's way, or she will face a big problem. Rhea gave her a stark warning, and in a flash both ladies were beaten down, by. The Mulletchaser, and. Raquel Rodriguez. I wasn't a big fan of this. Their verbalage fell flat, and they didn't recover.

Bianca Belair And Jade Cargill vs Damage Ctrl WWE Womens Championship.

This was a formulaic affair, that turned into a decent little barn burner. Bianca, and. Jade got the win and retained their belts, by the laws of Lash Legend, and. Jakara Jackson, giving Iyo Sky a five finger sandwich. This led to Bianca putting a KOD on Iyo for the win. I'm sencing a split at some point. Jade, and. Bianca have WrestleMania written all over them.

The Judgement Day Segment

Adam Pearce, then had a conversation with a couple of children. Jd Mcdonagh, and Finn Balor, he told them that Finn's issues with Damien Priest, are over, and he and JD must get back to defending their Tag Team Championships, so Pearce, has come up with a tag team tournament, to find the next number one contenders. The Mulletchaser, and. The Human Oven, then welcomed Raquel into the fold. I think Carlito is in love.

American Made

I laughed my ass off watching this segment. American Made f*** yeah. I have no other words.

Bron Breakker Segment

I liked all of this. Bron Breakker is the future, and this segment is the proof. Family ties, what family ties.

Bronson Reed Segment

Adam Pearce had a sit down chat with Bronson Reed. This was excellent. Pearce came across like a schoolyard authoritarian, and it worked. Seth Rollins told Pearce that he wants Bronson, and told him to make the match, in a later segment.

Alpha Academy vs The War Raiders Tag Team Tournament

Otis, and. Tazawa, were eliminated from the Tag Team Championship Tournament, when a returning War Raiders, beat the breaks off them, and got the win, by battering them.

Cody Rhodes Segment

I love this man, his relationship with the fans, is nothing short of riverting. Cody basked in the glow of a loving audience, as he took them on a journey. He spoke of his pride, as the we want Roman chants, started to echo throughout the arena. This brought him back to a time, when he heard his name get chanted for the first time, he thanked the fans, whilst reminding fans that he isn't a politician. He concluded by asking the fans in St Louis, just what do they want to talk about. Gunther came out, cut a promo on Cody, cutting Cody to the core with praise, he called the quarterback of this business, and everyones darling, he told him to sort out his mess on the blue brand, because at Crown Jewel, he wants him at his best. Cody also forshadowed a possible return for Brock Lesnar. If that's the case then WWE need to heed with caution, given what he was implicated in, earlier this year. Both men shook hands to end the segment.

Kofi Kingston vs Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker, beat. Kofi Kingston, in a decent tv match, by beating the breaks off of him. Xavier Woods came to stop Kofi from taking more punishment. Jey Uso came out to make the save, and go for Bron. After this. Jey saw his brother in his locker room, later on he told Jimmy, that he doesn't want to help him or his cousin.

The Miz vs R Truth

R Truth beat. The Miz in a tv comedy match, thanks to The Final Testement, but this was a rouse, because. The Final Testement, fed him to The Miz, who beat him down, in the aftermath. I didn't like this.

Rhea Ripley And Tiffany Stratton vs The Mulletchaser And Raquel Rodriguez

I hated this match. It was stagnant from the start, and was thrown out, after Nia Jax got involved. Bored now.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw

I wasn't impressed with this weeks Raw. It felt flat on all sides, you can have throwaway shows, and my god, this was the defination of that term.

This weeks Monday Night Raw is mid 5/10.

My Top 5 Matches That Are A Thing Of Beauty

 Intro

The Words, beauty is in the eye of the beholder is a phrase that gets thrown around in the art world way too much, but in the wrestling world, it's a phrase that I feel is important, because any art form you watch, you can find beauty in anything, case and point. Last night I watched the film Another Earth, a delicately shot work of Sci Fi genius, that leaves the viewer with more questions, with no answers, but that's the best thing about this film, and how it counteracts, with Pro Wrestling. you can find beauty in all forms of art.

5 The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels WrestleMania 25.

This. Is one of my favourite wrestling matches of all time. This. Is the embodyment of two artists painting on a canvas, as nearly 80.000 fans watched on in the Stadium in Texas, and millions at home. This. Was a clear look at too men at the peak of their powers.

4 Eddie Guerro vs Rey Mysterio WCW Halloween Havoc 1997.

This is a classic. Both mens chamistry at this point in their careers, was palpable, and on this night, it was evidentally clear, that they were making a statement. They were trying to breakout of WCW's midcard, at a time when burying smaller talent was the norm within Ted Turners organisation.

3 Macho Man Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat WrestleMania 3.

This. Match gets studied in wrestling schools. Even though some of Randy Savage's actions nowadays could, and, should be critisised, his match output should be celebrated, and this is one, even to this day, still ranks highly, when the best Mania match rankings list comes out every year.

2 Cm Punk vs MJF Dog Collar Match AEW Revolution 2022.

AEW have carved out some brilliant, era defining rivalries, but. It's his rivalry with MJF with MJF that gave us one of my favourite AEW matches, that paid homage to Roddy Piper. This is a perfect time capsule, that I find myself going back to, over, and over, again

1 Kenny Omega vs Kazuchika Okada NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 2017

I think this one of my favourite wrestling matches ever. It's Physicality is flawless, and both mens chamistry is simply captivating. I have no other words.

My Top 5 Takeaways From AEW WrestleDream

Intro

Now that AEW WrestleDream, is in the rearview, I sat back last night and watched the show again, and given the fact that hindsight is a very nice thing. I thought this would be a good idea to do a top 5 list.

5 Chris Jericho Needs To Retire.

It's no secret that I didn't like his match with Mark Briscoe. It to me, stands as a reminder, that this man is getting carried, by an industry, that allows wrestlers to buy too much into persona's when they're past their prime. Mark had to carry Chris through the early stages of the match, and in my opinion, it never recovered. I think Chris needs to retire.

4 The Womens Match Needed more time.

Over this past year. I've become a big fan of WillowNightingale, and i'm an admirer of Marieh May. This match didn't play to their strengths in my opinion. The timing was all over the place, and it didn't get going, until it was to late. Do better when it comes to booking your womens division AEW.

3 Hologram and The Beast Mortas

I loved this match, but it was placed in the wrong part of the card, this should have been first out, the match was an underated barn burner, held within the confines of a 2 Out Of 3 Falls match. Their chemistry, and physicality shone through, but these men worked with what they were given, especially following that International Championship match, that has become a match of the year contender.

2 Will Osperay Is Flying The Flag For The UK Wrestling Scene

As a fan of this great part of the sporting industry. I have never seen a talent like Will Osperay. At this minute in time, he's had at least 4 match of the contenders. For my personal tastes, his match against MJF is my match of the year from Wembley, but this has become a close second in my rankings. His effortless nature is something special, and if you're in a wrestling school. I urge you to study this man.

1 New Creative Direction

Yesterday morning I was sitting at my desk, crying, trying to hold back the tears, as a legend of this Industry. Bryan Danielson worked his final match, as a full-time competitor. I can understand the complaints about how the match ended, but when you take a step back, and look at it from a far. It makes perfect sense. Jimmy Jacobs has left the company on good terms, he has been an intrigal part in their creative machine, over the past five years. Things have needed to change for some time, this could go either way, and if it fails the Buck will Stop, at Tony Khans door.

AEW WrestleDream Review 13.10. 2024

Intro

As the final months of the year start to draw in, this normally spells a time of creative lows within Wrestling Companies, sparks that shone throughout the year, start to fade, but. This year feels differant. Case and point. WWE is starting to ramp up its creativity, as the move for one of it flagship shows to Netflix, has started to create a buzz, that the industry has never seen, and as for Tony Khan's little promotion that can, well  they've just signed a mega rights deal with Warner Bros discovery, that's worth an estimated 180 million per year, to stretched out over a three year span. I think it's safe to say, that the industry is going to be eating well, as the years roll on.

Jay White vs Hangman Adam Page

The face ,vs heel dynamic, was put out on full display here, fans were split down the middle, as this show was taking place in Swerve Strickland hometown. The physicality resembled a slugfest. Hangman planted White on the steel steps, allowing. White to show his potential, when he hit a knee breakker on the ramp to Hangman, the exchanges were superb, and White got the win with a hidden blade. This. Was. A great way to start the show.

Marieh May vs Willow AEW Womens Championship

This needed more time to breathe. Yes, the match was good, it just felt way to compact in my opinion. May retained in a solid outing.

AEW TNT Championship Jack Perry vs Katsuyouri Shibata

I liked this, the ending however was a bit of a farce. Perry retained by a chin joke going wrong, and pinning Shibatas shoulders to the mat. Daniel Garcia came out, and stopped a beatdown. MJF then made his return, and cut a scathing promo on Garcia, this was cut short when the ghost expression was written all over his face, when Adam Cole returned. MJF is a deadman according to Cole. I love this, because it has left me feeling excited for the rest of the year. Even if it was a bit convoluted.

AEW International Championship Ricochet vs Konosuke Takeshista vs Will Osperay.

I loved this match, from the out pouring of class, shown by each man, their chemistry and physicality, blending in together perfectly. To the solid fluidity, allowing the match to have plenty of time to breathe. The matches within the match, and the near falls, became a fascinating sight to be seen, and added a thick layer of drama to proceedings. Fighting spirit oozed out of every corner of this match, as the story unfolded, this is arguably the best triple threat match since. Samoa Joe vs Christopher Daniels vs AJ Styles, from TNA Turning Point 2005. This. Is, yet another match of the year contender from Osperay, his ability to connect with the fans is something special. Don Callis tried to cause some trouble, but was stopped by Osperay, this led to Kyle Fletcher coming out, and screwing over his best friend, by hitting him with that same screwdriver, and putting Takeshista's body over his for the win, crowning a new AEW International Champion. The act of betrayal added a sense of unpredictability. I loved this. Kyle Fletcher adopted the Tiger Driver 96, and used it to send a message to Will.

Orange Cassidy Segment

Jerry Lynn, and. Hook gave Orange Cassidy his flowers, this is a clear sign for the future.

Swerve Strickland Segment

From Prince Nana, guffing up his lines, to his boss, confirming that he's medically cleared. Swerve wanted to address the fans, but he was interrupted by MVP, and. Shelton Benjamin. Swerve, and. MVP, had a great promo dual, that delt with their history. Swerve then said that he wasn't going to turn his back on his manager, this part of the promo, went down the line of negative stereotypes that I could've done without. Shelton Benjamin, then got in the face of Swerve, and a seperation brawl took place. I liked this.

Hologram vs The Beast Mortos 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match

I liked this. Hologram remains unbeaten in AEW, by beating. The Beast Mortos, in a fun 2 Out Of 3 falls match. This. Was excellent.

Darby Allin vs Brody King

From the skateboarding video, that welcomed Darby out, that took shade, from one of my favourite films. Back To The Future. The size differences made the story of the match, as the violence took the centre, and at this point I thought to myself. Darby has no back, due to the coffin drops that he gave King, on the steel steps, and in the ring, for the win. I had a good time watching this at 10am in the morning.

The Young Bucks vs Private Party AEW Tag Team Championship

This. Was, a lofi burner, that turned into an awesome spectacle. From Private getting the video treatment, hosted by the man that trained them. Amazing Red. Matt Jackson cut a promo on them, but was swiftly shut up, and the match got under way. From fighting in on the ramp, that led to an excellent spot, when Mark Qwen cleared out everyone, after leaping from the top of some staging equipment, the match entered the grounds of great, and as time went on. I found myself becoming even more invested. The physicality, and the near falls, added some tension to proceedings, but, this is were the Young Bucks shine, tension, isn't something that Private Party have ever had to deal with, until now. This wasn't to be their night, because the champs put them away, after three TK Drivers. The sight of Isiah Cassidy crying in the aftermath, wasn't an easy to be seen, this won't be the end for this team, because after this showing, the Tag Team Title picture is going to look better with them in it. This was excellent.

Mark Briscoe vs Chris Jericho ROH Championship Match

I know this is going to be a hot take, but. I didn't like this. I felt that the shenanigans in the early going, were a mask for Jerichos short comings, and what didn't help, is the fact that Mark looked like he was carrying Chris through the early part of the match. The match did get better, but for me it was too little too late. Mark retained his belt. In a moment that his late brother would be proud of.

Bryan Danielson vs Jon Moxley AEW World Heavyweight Championship

Ok guys. I'm going to get emotional, because this was a beatiful way to start the rise of a heel faction. With the early part of this match being soundtracked by. The Final Countdown, this gave the chaos that unfolded a voice, and a score. The 40 minute duration of this encounter, was an unforgettable mental game of chess, that was amplified when the physicality, pulled the match, kicking and screaming into the final stages, that saw an exchange, that would see the unthinkable happen. Moxley choked out Danielson, ending his full time run, as a wrestler. And then it happened. Betrayal act 2. Claudio, and his goons take to the ring. Danielson is left in the corner realing, as Mox stands over him, with a bag in hand, this prompted Darby Allin, and. Wheeler Yuta to come out. Darby tried to fend them off with a chair, but was taken out, and gaffa raped to the ring post, as. Yuta took the bag from Claudio, and tried to suffocate his friend, realigning himself, with his heel faction. The Commentary teams emotion, and selling throughout this, was impecable, with Excalibur being brought to tears, as you could hear the lump in his throat, start to swell. This. Was, an excellent way to end the broadcast.

Overview Of AEW WrestleDream 2024.

This. Was, an excellent show piece of great in ring work, meshing with great storytelling, with an emotional core. I have no other words, except thank you Bryan. Yes. Yes. Yes. Indeed.

AEW WrestleDream 2024 is solid 10/10

Smackdown Review 12.10.2024

Intro

With the main focus on WWE's TV output being the emersion of Netflix, and how that will shape the global viewing landscape, when it comes to weekly tv. I can't help but feel sad, that it's coming to an end, in terms of traditional TV, given the way that the landscape has grown, and evolved over the years. I understand that the TV Industry is an ever growing mindfield, but, this move especially for fans in the UK, is a clever strategic move, when all is said and done, this is an impressive outreach, that will have a sufficient global impact. UK fans are going to eat well.

Roman Reigns Segment

I liked all of this. Jimmy Uso returned last Saturday at the Bad Blood PLE, and last night was his first Promo, and match back, he wasted no time in welcoming us to Friday Night Smackdown, he talked about the relevence of family, and how members of his own family left him out in the cold, and on the shelf for six months. Roman then came out, and the OTC made the fans acknowledge big Jim, whilst letting slip the fact that he's the Master Of Puppets, because when The Bloodline started out, they took what they wanted, he let slip an element of disilution, when he said that they are the best of all time, from merch sales, money coming out of all of their pockets, to selling out Arenas, Roman reminded the fans that his faction are the ones, that was until Jimmy said, we used to be. He said that he acknowledges Roman as his Tribal Chief, but in order to take out Solo, and his crew, they need help. The fans chanted yeet, and Roman said. No yeet. Jimmy bumped into Cody later down the line, and. Solo cut a scathing promo on his brother later on, this was an excellent through story thread, that lasted the entire episode.

Carmelo Hayes vs LA Knight WWE United States Championship.

LA Knight, beat. Carmelo Hayes in a solid TV Match, in order to retain his United States Championship. I liked all of this.

Lash Legend And Jakara Jackson vs Bianca Belair And Jade Cargil WWE Tag Team Championship Match.

Before the match could take place. Kevin Owens put a holt to proceedings, by coming out, and explaining his actions for attacking Cody, in the car park, after the Bad Blood PLE, he was escorted out by security, after Cody confronted him, leading Randy Orton to act as a sound adviser, which by knowing The Viper, will only benefit him. KO later on decked him. Bianca Belair And Jade Cargill retained their belts in a solid TV match.

Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton Promotrain

I'm just going to get this out of the way. I hated all of this, it was a confusing mess, that has left me feeling dumb founded. Nia, and. Tiffany were out first. Nia spoke about her dominance, and when, she beats The Mulletchaser. Tiffany can cash in on her. This led Naomi, and. The Mulletchaser, to come one after another. Naomi said that the only way Nia can win matches, is with the help of her little friend Tiffany, whilst The Mulletchaser, and her crew, said that she's going to be The Crown Jewel Champion. Nia reacted to this like a 6 year old sibling who was left out at a birthday party, and pushed Naomi over, this led to the pair having an impromptu match, and it wasn't bad, it's just the guff that came beforehand, inconceivable nonsense. Naomi won, thanks to a load of interference. This ended in a giant schmozz, oh joy, a schmozz.

Nick Adis Segment.

Nick Aldis was trying to get a grip of. The Street Profits, and. DIY, and then enter stage left Legado Delfantasma. Santos was on the hunt to get his crew repressented, and, he succeeded, because next week Los Garza, will face a debuting Tag Team, by all accounts, and according to reports that have been circulating. It's The Motorcity Machine Guns.

Jimmy Uso vs Solo Sikoa.

I enjoyed this main event, from Jimmy slapping the taste out of brothers mouth, the physicality being performed at a high level, to the numbers game catching up with Jimmy, as Solo's pack of hyenas, helped him get the win, allowing to hit his family member with a samoan spike. Roman came out to save his cousin from a beatdown, as the numbers game reality, became two much for both men to handle. I think a yeet might be in order.

Overview Of WWE Friday Night Smackdown.

I had a good time watching this broadcast. The in ring work shone, whilst the promos were a divisive mix bag.

This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is a solid 8/10.
