AEW Collision Review 27.10.2024
Intro.
When the weekend comes around. I get a bit excited, because it means two things. The first is Premier League Football, and the second is wrestling. Weekend wrestling, unlike my beloved Arsenal FC, never fails to leave me feeling satisfied. Due to my day job. I haven't been able to do a Smackdown Review, in over two weeks, and you know what, it's been a nice change of pace, because sometimes in life, the quiet lane, knows what's best.
Footage From After Dynamite.
Chuck Taylors was seen being taken out of the ring on a stretcher. Orange Cassidy lost his cool, and took out his frustraions on Daniel Garcia. He will face Mox on Dynamite this Wednesday. I loved this as an opening to the show. Just brilliant.
Jay White vs Shane Taylor.
Jay White, beat. Shane Taylor, in a solid match. The big vs small dynamic, was a well woven story arch that sold the physicality. Jay hit big Shane with his bladerunner finisher, for the win, and then cut a promo, putting over Taylor, whilst rubbing salt into the skin of Hangman Adam Page, he challenged Hangman to a match at Full Gear, that was later on made official, by Tony Khan. I liked all of this.
Kyle Fletcher Segment.
Kyle Fletcher, told Lexi Nair that he's here on family business, keeping an eye on Ricochet, for Takeshista, whilst sporting his new haircut. Kyle Fletcher 1980's action star. He will meet Will on Wednesday.
Penelope Ford vs Robyn Renegade.
Penelope Ford, beat Robyn Renegade, in a flat TV match, that offered nothing. And was then called out by Jamie Hayter on the big screen, in the aftermath.
FTRunners Segment.
I'm head over heels in love with this team, their promo, had me howling with laughter, like it was 1987. The Outrunners, then beat MxM Collection in a fun TV match.
Nigel Mcguinness, Wheeler Yuta Segment.
This. Was. Excellent. I loved all of this. From Nigels calm expodition, acting like a school teacher, who was calmly trying to understand why a student has done something potentially very serious, to. Yuta becoming, a calm cadaver whilst explaining his actions, for why he nearly left his mentor with altering injuries. All of this was excellent. Well done to both men.
Ricochet vs Lio Rush.
Ricochet, beat. Lio Rush in solid match, that was a beat by beat, stylistic clash, left me wanting more. Ricochet, got the win by sending a clear message to Takeshista.
Harley Cameron Segment.
Ok i'm going to explain this in the style of a famous 1980's cartoon. Feel the magic, feel the roar Thunder Cameron is loose. Thunder. Thunder. Thunder. Thunder Cameron. Hooooooooooo. Thunder Rosa, said that she's going to smack the paint from off of her face next week. I liked this.
The Beast Mortas Segment.
The Kingdom had a very nice gift for The Beast Mortas, a sweet box selection. This was an attempt to get him on their side. Lexi Nair, ask before you take someone else's sweets. Manners little lady. Manners.
Ana Jay vs Viva Van.
Ana Jay, beat. Viva Van, in a solid TV Match, and was then called out by Marieh May, in the aftermath. I liked all of this.
FTR vs Rush and Dralistico.
I liked all of this. FTR are one of my favourite Tag Teams to watch, and this match was the perfect examplication for why. The Physicality was on point, the match was given plenty of time to breathe. FTR got the win, with a shatter machine. The Beast Mortas, then helped his team in a beatdown on Dax, and. Cash, that was until, their new mates. The Outrunners came to make the save, as the show ended, with all four men flexing, like it was 1988.
Overview Of AEW Collision.
I had a lot of fun watching this weeks Collision, the in-ring work was solid, and the promos were decent.
This weeks AEW Collision is an enjoyable 7/10.
