WWE Clash In Paris Review. 31.8.2025.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

Jey Uso. Cm Punk. LA Knight. Seth Rollins. Becky Lynch. Nikki Bella, and, everyones favourite rip off merchant Logan Paul were seen showing up to the venue.

Roman Reigns vs Bronson Reed.

This Match acted as a follow up to what happened on Raw. Romans forsyth when it came to his future was spot on, because he came out on his own. The feats of strength from both men became the early backdrop for what was a lofi opener. The physicality was good, and both men had decent chemistry. However I couldn't connect with this Match. Roman got the win, and then got wrecked heavy, after he choked out Paul Heyman. The wreckage from The Brons was a way to write Roman off from TV, because he's due to start filming the new Street Fighter Movie, over the next few weeks. I couldn't get into this, and i'm not sure why?

The Street Profits vs The Wyatt Sic WWE Tag Team Championship.

This was another Match that I couldn't connect with, now this was due to the fact that it felt like a TV Match, taking place on a PLE. The Wyatts retained, so far this PLE hasn't delivered.

Becky Lynch vs Nikki Bella WWE Womens Intercontinental Championship.

This was a solid work rate Match. In our year of 2025 WWE has failed in the mens department to a degree, however it's the ladies that have shone this year. I think Becky is having a great year in my opinion, and this was proof. From the fans showing both ladies love. Nikki playing the move reversal game, to Becky picking up the win with a simple backslide. I liked this.

Rusev vs Sheamus Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook.

This was a blast. The Match resembled two big beefy boys, doing big beefy boy things. This was a physical bomb blast, that gave way to weapon induced plunder, that became the back beat for what was the Match of the night. Table spots. Chair spots. Bar spots. And a really cool Whiskey Barrel white noise spot, that saw Sheamus take the worst of it. This built in nicely to the near falls being well timed, and the final exchanges saw Rusev get the win with a shaleleigh accolade submission. This was by far the Match of the night.

John Cena vs Logan Paul.

I have to give the French fans credit, were credit is due, they were loud as balls here. And oh my this Match needed it. I didn't like this. It felt methodical, slow, and heavy on being formulaic. Cena in the past has been accused of burying talent, and working with a short moveset, and this caused what we saw tonight, a rinse and repeat, of the same old Cena Matches. Logan had to work hard to get the best out John, but his efforts were not met with how this Match was booked. John got the win, and if i'm being honest. I don't care. Cena getting his flowers from the French fans was a nice site. WWE timed that well.

Fatal 4 Way Match WWE Heavyweight Championship.

I'm not the biggest fan of Four Way Matches, because the concept has been run into the ground over the years, from multiple promotions, but this felt fresh, and I didn't hate it. The Matches within the Match added fuel to the overarching storylines that will take WWE through to the end of the year. But it was the end exchanges that saw what was a great finish. Punk thought that he had Seth Beat, he had hit him with a go to sleep, but that was when a Ninja lookalike gave Punk a low blow, allowing Seth to hit him with a stomp for the retention, and who was this Ninja, none other than Becky Lynch. Seth's wife. I loved this. I have been saying that The Vision has needed a bit of new blood for some time, and this was a genius move, and I can't wait to see how this unfolds on WWE TV.

Overview Of Clash In Paris.

This PLE was a confusing mix of the Formulaic, and the outright great, however if you ask me in a years time what happened at Clash In Paris? I would say, that I don't remember, and should tell you everything about WWE's booking in 2025.

WWE Clash In Paris 2025 is a mid 7/10.

The Top 5 Worst Things That MJF Has Ever Done In AEW And Beyond.

Intro.

It's no secret that I love this man. He's the perefect modern look at how society views heels. From his narcissistic tendencies, and fascinating persona, that can drive even the hardest of fans into his world. MJF is a once in a chance character, that needs to be explored, and celebrated in equal measure, whilst being reviled through the looking glass of Pro Wrestling.

5. Telling Fans To F*** Off. ( I'm Not Joking )

Their has been times back in the early days of AEW when they would send Wrestlers out to Malls, as a way of interacting with fans, some in this situation like. Cody Rhodes. The Young Bucks. Sammy Guevara, and. Hangman Adam Page, all shone in his space. Max would use this to tell children, and their parents to f*** off. I spoke to one of AEW's security guards last year when I was at a fan convention before All In, and I asked him about this story, and asked if these stories were true, and he told me there's a reason why they don't make Max do fan events, after these incidents.

4. Methanie.

Drug addiction isn't something to be laughed, or if you're Maxwell Jacob Freeman, something to be used with utter vile vitriol. This happened on a October 2021 edition of AEW Dynamite. The levels of disgust that oozed from him, as he laid bare the issues of The Pillman family, as Brian Pillman Jnr stood there and watched as his family was laid to waste, and all Max could do was smerk in the only way he can.

3. Insulting Fans Outside A Hotel In Wembley.

I heard this from the fans that were waiting for autographs outside the hotel, and this sounded like typical MJF. The words that came out of his mouth were thank you, f*** you, bye. Don't ever change Maxwell.

2. Revealing Darby Allin's Past Trauma.

This came from an early October 2021 edition of Dynamite, in the build to that years Full Gear, Max is at his promo best, when he's revelling in others misery, and this segment was perfect.

1. Mistreatment Of Wardlow.

This was something that was bubbling under the surface of the Cm Punk rivalry, and as the aftermath of revolution was starting to play out. Wardlow was ordered to take ten lashes. This segment was one of the best that AEW had come up with at this point, and it was a glorious reminder that humiliation is a horrific form of bullying, and seeing Max get his compunance at that years Double Or Nothing was a sight to be seen.

Friday Night Smackdown Review 29.8.2025

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

I heard Michael Cole say something that I didn't agree with to start off the show. He said that Lyon is the French capital when it comes to food, and even though I'm not french, and don't live in France, I think it's safe to say that Michael has never tried my Bacon And Cream Cheese Bagels. There a taste sensation if I say so myself, oh and Sami Zayn. Solo Sikoa and his crew, and. Drew Mcintyre were all seen showing up to the venue.

Logan Paul And John Cena Segment.

I liked this. It was the perfect blend of everything that I hate, thrown in with things that I like. Logan was given the walkthrough treatment, and from that moment it was all him him him. It's no secret that in real life I don't have a lot of time for Logan for obvious reasons, that can be found with a simple Google search. But he has managed to carve out a decent craft for himself. He called himself a destroyer, whilst stating that fans can't adapt to change. And him speaking in French just reminded of Delboy from Only Fools And Horses. He brought up insults towards John Cena, and just like magic, he appeared. John fired back in the only way he can, with, fire, passion, and, grace, and this was excellent, now add this in with a cameo from Brussels kid, and a hint of controversy, and you've got a great segment. Good work from both men.

Bo Dallas Segment.

Bo was on the hunt out tonight, first The Street Profits, and then later on Melo Don't Miz. This guy was on the grind.

Alexa Bliss vs Chelsea Green.

This was due to be a Tag Team Championship Match, but this didn't come to fruition due to the fact that The Secret Hervice took out Charlotte Flair, before the Match got started. This was a stagnant affair that failed to get started. Alexa got the win.

Alestair Black And Damien Priest.

Damien Priest vs Alestair Black. If you're going to run with this Match, then just get on with it WWE.

Michin vs Kiana James.

Michin, beat Kiana James in quick succession, and will now Giulia at a later date.

Drew Mcintyre Segment.

If this segment was a Linkin Park song, it would be called. Lies Greed Misery. because this was centred around Drews hate for Cody Rhodes, as he tried to twist Randy Orton in coming to this way of thinking. This worked to a degree, because when Randy came out, he was given a Glasgow kiss from Drew. This caused The Viper to go to that place, that makes him to do damage to anyone. Security got in the way, and they got RKO's for their troubles, now what's up with that. This was a simplistic segment, that I got a lot out of. Poor Shane Helms, even Nick Aldis thought that you can't do that to The Hurricane. Oh and R Truth stay off the Whiskey.

Melo Don't Miz vs The Street Profits.

I didn't like this. The in-ring work felt flat, and it failed to out of first gear. The Profits got the win, and will now face The Wyatt Sic, at Clash In Paris. So that's what Bo was doing, he was scouting out the competion. Ok Iget it now.

Jade And Tiffany Segment.

I've said this before, and i'll say it again. WWE if you're going to run Jade cargill vs Tiffany Stratton, then just get on with it.

Sami Zayn vs Solo Sikoa WWE United States Championship.

This was a lofi burner of a Match, that had decent moments that centred around cameos from Big Jim Uso, and. Jacob Fatu. I didn't like this, now don't get me wrong I like Sami as the US Champion, but he couldn't hide Solo's short comings, and this took me away from the Match. Sami as the WWE US Champion does make sense, but at what cost.

Overview Of Friday Night Smackdown.

This weeks show was a poor mix-bag, that was centred around the same old drudge. Formulaic TV formulas, that are getting tired.

This weeks Friday Night Smackdown is a low 4/10.

AEW Dynamite Review 28.8.2025.

FTR Segment.

I liked this, from Cash Wheeler almost having a face off with a fan. Dax Harwood turning on Paul Turner the ref, to him and Stokeley acting like my friends kids, because when they do something wrong, they make up excuses, blame each other, and call each other names. That glorious man Stokeley Hathaway also got in on the act, and this angered Adam copeland, and Christian Cage, who came and a fight broke out. Christian gave a Killswitch to the most glorious man, and then took to insulting FTR with dead dad remarks. His pissed off Cash Wheeler. Adam then took to the mic, and challenged the pair to a Match at All Out. This was a solid way to start the show.

Darby Allin Segment.

Darby Allin then called out Jon Moxley with his own blood. This was excellent.

Jon Moxley vs Daniel Garcia.

I liked this. Both men did something quite special, they managed to make their surroundings feel clostraphobic, from the feel of the Match, to its overall asthetic, this is due to the venue being famed for intense Matches over the years. The physicality played into this perfectly, Mox got the win, after a solid final series of exchanges. Wheeler Yuta took to the mic after this, and did his best Rodney Dangerfield routine, because he gets no respect, because when fans cheer for their favourites, it doesn't mean anything. Wheeler said to the fans that Mox isn't interested in facing Darby at All Out. Oh And Hello Hook.

MJF Segment.

Max gave his thoughts about Cashing in his contract, and. Mark Briscoe right after his Match on Sunday. Just go out of your way to check this out, because this was excellent.

Megan Bayne And Penelope Ford vs Harley Cameron And Kris Statlander.

I couldn't get into this. I just felt like something was off from this. The In-ring work was solid, but I couldn't connect with this. Megan, and. Penelope got the win.

Mercedes Mone Belt Celebration Segment.

This was over before it could begin, from boasting about dancing with Will Osperay, and verbally rubbing it into his real life Alex Windsor. Whilst also wanting to break Ultimo Dragons record, and go for ten belts. This was all over the place.

Mark Briscoe Segment.

There's a reason for why Mark Briscoe isn't at Dynamite, it's because he's become a dad for the second time. He said that he isn't done with Max, and called out Kyle Fletcher for a shot at the TNT Championship. Congrats to Marks family for their new addition.

The Don Callis Family vs Jetspeed And Brodido.

I liked this. The physicality was performed on a decent level, but I do have one major concern. Wardlow. AEW did a great job with his return this past Sunday At Forbidden Door, but this feels like their going backwards with him, and not forwards. He's being used as a henchman. This screams The Pinnacle all over again. Josh Alexander got the win here in what was a decent TV Match.

Hangman Adam Page Segment.

Our favourite Cowboy, next to Woody from Toy Story, came out and thanked Will Osperay for everything that he's done for him, and wished him a speedy recovery. And told MJF that if he ever wants to cash in his contract, then he'll kick his arse quicker than it would to take for the ink to dry on the paper. Don Callis then came out, and said that he wants his belt back, because the last person who he was with the last time was weak. The Damn It Don Callis Family then came out, and then because one of them will take his belt. A fight broke out. Jetspeed helped make the save, oh and Hello Kenny Omega.

Mina Shirakowa Segment.

Timeless Toni Storm will be rooting for Mina this Friday at Death Before Dishonour. Ok then.

The Opps vs Ricochet And GOA AEW Trios Championship.

The Opps retained their Trios Championship, against Ricochet and GOA, in what was a decent TV Match, thanks to MVP. This is the real definition of the term. How do you like them apples.

Claudio Castagnoli vs Darby Allin Falls Count Anywhere.

From the very opening stages, we were treated to TV Spots ( literally ) Shopping trolley fun, which is going to make my weekly shop trip tomorrow a lot of fun. The guard rail spots felt fairly standard, but as the table, and. chair spots grew. The venue made this Match feel clostraphobic. Darby was launched through the announcers table, in what was a sickening spot. The moments when AEW lost their audio after this just added tension to the proceedings. As the final exchanges got underway. I became even more convinced that Darby has no back. He got the win after a coffin drop. And was then taken out by The Deathriders, but he thought back and escpaed as the show went off the air.

Overview of AEW Dynamite.

As a follow up show to a major PPV. I don't think this show worked, but there was quite a lot to like about this broadcast That I liked. The opening Match and Main event were solid, whilst the other Matches repressented sandwich filler, as the segments remained solid.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a high 7/10.

My Top Moments In Pro Wrestling That Made Me Question My Life Choices.

Intro.

You know when you get those moments in life that leave you thinking what the hell am I doing, whether it's in your job, family, or relationship life, we've all been there, and the thing that gives me excitement thrills Pro Wrestling is no different, so this is a list about those moments that made me want to rage quit being a fan of my favourite past time.

5. WWE In 2019.

I put 2019 up against 1994, and 1995, when it came down to public perception for the company. Ticket sales. DVD sales, and TV viewership were all down, and the creative decisions were mind bending. From the build to Mania 35 not living up to standard. Brock Lesnar getting shoved down fans throats, to the decay in Vince Mcmahons  direction starting to take shape, yeah this year was one to forget.

4. Ric Flair Is All Elite.

And to think all of this came after Tony Khan had a bitter X war with a fan, from comments made about Mcmahon, to the debut of Ric Flair, a man who has a shopping list of controversies against his name, this led me to want to bang my head against a brick wall, and think that someone should put Tony Khan on the naughty step, and take his phone priviledges away.

3. The Authority.

Ok. At first I liked what WWE had created here, but as time went on, this storyline dragged on, and on, and on, and by the time October 2014 rolled around, this whole storyline just felt like backwards booking being rehashed again, and, again, and again. Yes this did showcase the emmergence of Seth Rollins as a corporate champion, but on the other hand it also gave us corporate Kane, and no one asked for that monstrcity, no one.

2. Try Some Roman Reigns You'll Like Him ( Honestly ).

Back in the dauldron days of 2015-2016, WWE were going all in on Roman Reigns, at the behest of what the fans wanted. The 2015 Royal Rumble was a clear look at this divide. Roman was the chosen Golden child, and the fans weren't eating what he was creating. The times were changing as the network era saw a mass of fans rage quit the company as a result of this. Daniel Bryan getting ignored was the final straw for some, but to me it was the inconsistncies with the storytelling that had me thinking. Why am I watching this?

1. Year 2000 WCW.

Were do I begin with this company. From Hulk Hogans infamous exit. Bad creative, causing a consistant stream of fans getting pissed off, and leaving the company, to the overall bad running of the businesss, that saw the company close it's doors on the 26th of March 2001. Do I miss WCW? Well if i'm honest, no.

Monday Night Raw Review 26.8.2025.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

LA Knight. Nikki Bella, and. Rhea Ripley were all seen showing up to the arena in Birmingham UK. Oh and I see you Rhea eyeing up the Pick'n Mix, mine is the White Chocolate Mice.

Roman Reigns Segment.

The fans hijacked this segment from the start, and you know what. You love to see it. Roman talked about how things have changed, and this became the backdrop for this segment. Paul Heyman, and. Bronson Reed came out, and this segment, became a fascinating promo dual. The segment ended with both men fighting on the ramp, with security having to seperate them. I liked this. Both men will see each other on Sunday.

Dragon Lee vs JD Mcdonagh.

I liked this. The action was fast paced, and both mens chemistry was great. Lee got the win. Michael Cole on commentary ran through JD's achievements from before he got to WWE, and the only thing I have to say about this is. Don't Google him.

LA Knight Segment.

LA Knight said what he thought of Cm Punk, Mr Brookes said what he thought of this later on in the evening. Jey Uso would do the same thing.

Penta vs Kofi Kingston.

Penta, beat Kofi Kingston in a flat and, and boring TV Match. The New Day later annoyed Byron Saxton, complete with confetti. ( for some reason )

Iyo Sky And Rhea Ripley.

Iyo Sky, and. Rhea Ripley were caught backstage by The Kabuki Warriors having a nice chat, yeah, this would backfire later on in the show.

Becky Lynch Segment.

I loved this. Becky went through everything that she hated about Birmingham, and this included. Nikki Bella, and. Aston Villa. As an Arsenal Supporter I can understand the second one. This brought out Nikki, who gave Becky some awesome verbal Barbs. Both ladies had a fantastic promo dual. This was later confirmed their Match at Clash In Paris. Also as a Massive Ozzy Osbourne fan. I loved the tribute.

Rhea Ripley vs Roxanne Perez.

I liked this. Both ladies have decent chemistry, and the chemistry that was on display was great. Rhea got the win with a riptide. Corey Graves on Commentary teased the return of, ugh sigh. Chris Jericho. No, please no.

Aj Styles Vs Finn Balor.

I was bored watching this. The in-ring work felt stagnant, and that's a real shame. AJ got the win. AJ will face Dirty Dom next week In Paris, for the Intercontinental Championship.

Bayleys New Direction.

I have to say. I'm starting to like Bayleys decent into madness, because this means we could get Hugger Bayley back, and you know what that means, her old entrance theme music. sing it with me now.  There ain't no stopping us now, we celebrate on the floor.

LA Knight vs Bronson Reed.

I didn't like this. The whole Match felt predictable, and flat, and as the Match went into it's final stages, what I thought would happen, happened. The interference spots from Seth Rollins, and. Bronson, and the save spots from Cm Punk, and. Jey Uso played into how the Match would end. Bronson got the win, and the fall apart of the other three man in Sundays main event, then played out. Sigh. I could just feel my eyes starting to roll.

 Overview Of Monday Night Raw.

This was a real mix-bag of interest, and utter nonsense, that was elevated by a red hot crowd.

This go home Monday Night Raw Show is a high 6/10.

My Top 5 Matches From AEW And NJPW Forbidden Door.

Intro.

Back in 2021 the rumours of AEW working alongside NJPW started to become a thing, after a clip circulated of Tony Khan meeting the president of the company, this is so that NJPW talent could appear on AEW's weekly TV show Dynamite. This would be a move that would see the upstart North American make waves in co promoting, a move that would make the term 5 star classic mean a lot more than what it already meant. It has became a standard in the industry, for creating magic from nothing. So here's my top 5 favourite Matches from the PPV.

5. Swerve Strickland vs Will Osperay For The AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

This Match had the internet divided, but when you dig beneath all of the booking politics, this acted as a way to set Will up for what was to come down the line. The Match was a solid affair that focused on their history through working the indy scene in America, and the UK. And the results paid off. Swerve would go on to lose the belt Bryan Danielson at All In, whilst at the same event. Will would go on to beat MJF for the International Championship. So you could say that all is well, that ends well, well kind of I guess.

4. Orange cassidy vs Zac Sabre Jnr.

When this Match got announced back in 2023, this had me very excited. Both men have unorthorbox styles that would mesh together perfectly well, and I wasn't wrong. This Match was epic, and it's been on my rewatch list for the past three years. If you like solid in ring work, and great back to basics work ethics from both men, then this is your Match.

 3. Orange Cassidy vs Will Osperay.

This Match was a fantastic balance of styles and counteractions working well together, both men on this night put on a clinic, and it a was a fast paced, incredibly operated ride from start to finish. I love this Match.

2. Jon Moxley vs Hiroshi Tanahashi.

I felt that this was the start of the decline for Tanahashi as an in-ring talent. With this being the start of his swansong, he put forth a valiant effort, against the man who at the time was considered the ace of AEW. This was a fantastic bloodsoaked war that has lingered on my brain for the past three years, and to say that I still come back to it is a true testement to both men.

1. Kenny Omega vs Will Osperay.

This Match was centred around the overarching theme of their previous encounter from 2023's NJPW Wrestle Kingdom. Even though I did like that clash, this was clash was better for my money. I felt the ergentcy come through my computer screen, and that's a feeling that you can't take away. The physicality, bloodshed, and the near falls, all blended together to make something special.

AEW And NJPW Forbidden Door London 2025 Review.

Intro.

Ok. Let's get the obvious stuff out of the way. I'm not at this moment trying to scurry my way out of The 02 in London, because due to money issues, instead I sat at home on my bed, and watched the PPV, and as it turned out I felt like I was there. The appreciation from the fans was met from the start of the pre show, all the way through to the conclusion of the main event, so with that said, lets get into what I thought of the PPV. This time next I want to be doing something media related to the companies return to Wembley. This is my next step.

Adam Copeland And Christian Cage vs Kip Sabian And Killswitch.

The opening to this Match says the words case and point when it comes fan appreciation. The fans singing back Metalingus sounded awesome. This also marked the first in-ring appearance in over a year for Killswitch, and it's great to see him back, because this time last year he could've lost his career due a life threatening injury. This Match was a lofi affair, that was moderately paced, which wasn't anything out of the norm for an opening Match. The near falls were well planted, and the sight of copeland turning back the years was a nice slice of nostalgia, and his double team effort to get the win with Christian, took me back to being that 13 year old fan watching Wrestlemania 16 on a dodgy vhs tape at his mates house. This was a fun opener.

Kyle Fletcher vs Hiromu Takahashi AEW TNT Championship.

This Match acted as a fantastic insight into ring psychology. Both men put on a great battle, that acted like a one, two punch, as this became the main selling point, alongside the excellent physicality. Kyle retained after a series of awesome exchanges.

Mercedes Mone vs Persephone vs Bozilla vs Alex Windsor AEW TBS Championship.

I'm just going to get this out of the way. I'm not the biggest fan of 4 way Matches, because I feel that the concept has been ruined over the years, and sadly this Match was a low point for me. I think the ladies involved in the Match are highly talented, and none of this was their fault, because it falls on how they're booked, and on this night I thought that the in-ring work fell a bit flat, and it never fully recovered. Mercedes got the win, and retained the TBS Championship.

Nigel Mcguinness vs Zac Sabre Jnr IWGP Championship.

This was excellent. From the intro video. I could tell what I was in for. It was nice to see Johny saint get his flowers. I've been a fan of Nigels In ring work for years, and this was a perfect mix with Zac's hard submission style ground game. Both men put on a clinic here, that featured lariotts becoming a vital king in this mental game of chess. Zac retained in what was a fantastic study in contrast. One man was ready, whilst the other one played the game of almost doesn't count.

Jamie Hayter Returned.

Jamie Hayter returned to save Queen Aminata from getting beaten down by the Trio Of Madness. Jamie Hayter is back, and she's wrecking fools. You love to see it.

FTR vs Brodido vs The Hurt Syndicate AEW World Tag Team Championship.

This Match, outran all of my expectations. It was given plenty to breathe, which allowed all teams involved to let the movesets marinade into there settings. The move counteractions were played out with ease, and the exchanges were faultless. From Brody King, and. Bobby Lashley having a face off. Bandido trying to murder everyone, with that manouver to the outside, and Ricochet and his mates The Gates Of Agony, helping bring the Match to a close, as Brodido became our new AEW Tag Team Champions. I liked this.

Unified AEW Championship Swerve Strickland vs Kazuchika Okada.

I'm concerned for JR. I love seeing him, because his voice to Pro Wrestling fans is like putting on a warm blanket in the coldest parts of Winter, but he didn't sound right last night, and I thought that this was a bit sad. Both men put forward a slow burn technical affair, that showcased both mens fantastic styles. The story surrounded Swerve's legit Knee injury, which ended up becoming the Matches main storyline. This paved the way for the final exchanges to have room to grow, as Okada retained. He then attacked Swerve's Knee in the aftermath, which acted as a way to write Swerve off from TV, so he can recoup from his injury. Oh and hello Wardlow. Leave Prince Nana alone you bully. He then joined up with The Damn It Don Callis Family, but Takeshista, acted like his name Elsa, because he was Frozen towards the returnee.

AEW Womens Championship Timeless Toni Storm vs Athena.

Ok, i'm convinced that Tony Khan is a Stanley Kubrick fan, because Toni Storm's outfit looked it had come warner Bros History costumes from the film Barry Lyndon. Athena signed her contract, and the Match was on. Billy Starkz got wrecked in the opening, and this set the tone for what was to come. Both ladies looked like they having a blast, and it showed in their work, what they achieved was something quite unique, they put on a clinic. Toni got the win, and retined her belt. This was excellent.

MJF vs Hangman Adam Page AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

The constructed rules of this Match acted as a back drop for Max to once again prove why he's the best heel in the business. His impersonations of Hangman were spot on. Max tried on so many occasions to make his surroundings work to his advantage, but this failed. From Max getting put through a table with a Deadeye from Hangman on the outside of the ring. To  the storybeats being met with ease. Max gave Hangman a tombstone on half of the table, which busted open the cowboy. Max got busted open in the style that gave me flashbacks to Revolution 2023, when he got landed into a ring turnbuckle, busting him open. The near falls played into the drama, when bryce remsburg mistook one, and didn't realise that Hangman had his foot on the bottom rope. This added drama to the proceedings, that brought out Mark Briscoe. This gave room for the final exchanges to have time to breathe, as Hangman retained with a buckshot, and deadeye finish. This was excellent, and a Match of the year contender in my opinion. Fantastic stuff from both men.

Lights Out Steel Cage match.

Team Osperay. Will Osperay. Darby Allin. Kota Ibushi. Kenny Omega, and. Hiroshi Tanahashi, beat. Team Moxley. Jon Moxley. Claudio Castagnoli. Gabe Kid, and. The Young Bucks. The entrances were a complete study in humour, and emotional power. Wills package was narrated by his real life partner Alex Windsor, this acted like a gut punch, when you see what happens later. Whilst The Young Bucks walked out their old names, and theme. Hansons 1997 banger ummbop. The sight of Kenny Omega singing this was hilarious. The contrast between both teams was fascinating. Team Osperay were the picture of calm, whilst team Mox repressented the forms of fractions when you dig beneath the surface. The Match centred around chaos, carnage, and dangerous bloodsoaked spots, and awesome weapon usage that had thumbtacks, no wait, I mean Haribo. The ladder spots proved that Darby Allin hasn't got a back, and thanks to Mox no left ear. Mox you can go fork yourself. Yes one of my favourite films is Mystery Men. The High spots were awesome. Yuta going through the announcers Japanese announcers table, thanks to Darby. And Gabe Kidd launching Darby through four tables from the top of the cage. With the chaos entering its last stages It was Tanahashi that got the win for his team. This was another excellent encounter, but the drama wasn't done just yet. Will was taking a look at the fans, and taking in the last moments of the show, as the fans gave him their love, but this was when Jon and Claudio took Will out. Wills team were powerless as The Opps came out to help, but they couldn't stop the violence, as the fans in The 02, were sent home with the sickening feeling of what is to come next for Will, as the medics tended to him after the cage was raised. This was made in order to write Will off from TV, so he can rest a neck injury, and potentially get surgery. I can understand why the ending wasn't for everyone, but when you think about, this could be a cool look at were AEW is heading next.

Overview of AEW And NJPW Forbidden Door London 2025.

What do you get when you ad a hot crowd, fantastic in-ring work, that will land on my best of the year list, and a bag of Peanut MnMs. If your answer was a good time had by this writer, then you'd be correct. I loved this PPV from start to finish, and even though it did have one minus moment, it didn't stop my enjoyment from what I was seeing.

AEW And NJPW Forbidden Door London 2025 is a strong 10/10.

My Top 5 Matches That I'm Looking Forward To At AEW And NJPW Forbidden Door.

Intro.

Ok, lets get the obvious stuff out of the way. I'm not going to Forbidden Door, this is due to money concerns, but I have plans to sit back with an oversized bag of Sour Patch Kids, and review the show. So I thought that I would run through the Matches that i'm most looking forward to, so here goes nothing.

5. Swerve Strickland vs Kazuchika Okada.

This Match pretty much speaks for itself. Their styles are very similar, so this is going to be exciting to watch. Okadas Match against Kenny Omega from All In last month, is one of my Matches of the year, and I have high hopes for this Match.

4. Timeless Toni Storm vs Athena AEW Womens Championship.

This has been the most solid build on this card. I have really enjoyed this build. I think their interactions have been the right balance between them.

3. Kyle Fletcher vs Hiromu Takahashi AEW TNT Championship.

This Match screams lofi Barnburner, and I can't wait to see it unfold. Both men have great in-ring styles, and fantastic counteractions, and yes I get the that there won't be much of a story to this, but sometimes you don't need a story in wrestling, because the Match itself is the story.

2. MJF vs Hangman Adam Page AEW Heavyweight Championship.

It's no secret that I think that MJF has been the best thing about AEW Television over the past few months, and his back and forths with Hangman have been excellent, so this going be something special. I'm a big fan of MJF, and I love Hangman, so the sight of two of my modern favourites clashing has me very excited.

1. Lights out Steel Cage Match.

What do you get when you mix together, a pair who are Golden in with an ace, a raving nutter, and a man who loves Greggs Sausage Rolls, in with death doom, and despair, if your answer is the lights out Steel Cage Match, then you'll be right. This screams all out carnage, and i'm not talking about a Chicago native eating baked goods, and burying a company in a press conference. This will be a perfect balance of visceral violence, and sickening compulsion, and I can't wait to see how this match unfolds.

My Top 5 Insights From UFC Fight Night Shanghai.

Intro.

With the Summer coming to an end. I have found myself in a reflective moode, when it comes to the worlds leading fight organisation. I think that this has been a strong time for the Vegas outlet. From steller PPV's to great Fight Night cards. I get why some people think that the promotion is in its dull period, but if you dig beneath the surface, you will find things that you might like, because that's what it's all about.

Taiyilake Nuerajivs Is A Lucky Fighter.

Illegal knees in MMA are highly dangerous, and Taiyilake Nuerajivs is one lucky fighter, because when he hit Kiefer Crossbie with one, there was a point when the fight could've been thrown out, and in my opinion in should've been, because Kiefer wasn't the same after this. Taiyilake got the win, because when he had 2 points deducted from his score cards, it was a case of do or die.

4. Sumudaerji looked good.

It amazes me that in our year of 2025 Team Alphamale is still a thing. Sumudaerji looked good today, his booking looked crisp, and his groundwork looked solid. You can tell that using his time in Sacremento has worked well to his advantage. He got the win by Decision.

3. Sergei Pavolivich Looked Good.

Sergei Pavolich on his last outing didn't look very good, but after watching his fight today against Waldo Cortes Acosta, I have to say that the old Pavlovich is looking like he's on his way back, he made Cortes Acosta look very average on his feet, and it showed here. He got the win by decision.

2. Brian Ortega.

I'm not sure why, but i'm not a big fan of Brian Ortega. I'm not a big fan of his attitude. It was reported yesterday that Ortega was struggling to make the weight limit of 145 pounds. This meant that the fight had to done at a Catchweight. Michael Bisping called this out on commentary, and said that he saw Brians team buying alcoholic bath salts, just so Brian could shed those extra pounds on Thursday. This to me says two things. Was this Brians Body stallling, and not allowing him to lose the weight, or has he not been looking after himself, these are questions that are going to have to be answered. Aljamain Sterling on the other hand looked amazing today, and he completely outclassed the former Featherweight No1 Contender.

1. Johny Walker.

This was a fight that resembled a fast paced football Match. Brazil vs China. Chung Ming Zhang showed real heart, and speed in the early goings, but it was Johny that got the win, after Chung showed a vital flaw in his game, this allowed johny to pick up the win by TKO.

Friday Night Smackdown Review.

Superstars Seen Showing Up.

Logan Paul. The Street Profits. MFT. Charlotte Flair, and. Piper Niven were all seen showing up to the arena in Dublin.

Becky Lynch Segment.

I thought this was an uneven mix-bag, and you know, it was a real shame. From honesty, to insults. Becky flipped the script on the fans with ease, when she laid bare and told them what she thought about them, and Irish icons. This was the part that worked, however what followed resembled a bad episode of a dodgy TV show, that showed no sign of slowing down. Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax then came out, and delivered some woeful nonsense from the script department, and the emmergence of Jade Cargill couldn't save this. This caused Nick Aldis to put these ladies in the main event.

Fraxiom Segment.

Fraxiom, were seen giving Carmelo Hayes some advice, telling him that he can't trust The Miz. Well this backfired, because Melo Don't Miz then beat The Motorcity Machine Gunns in what was a decent TV Match. Oh and was I the only person who heard TNA chants throughout this Match?

Congrats Big Jim.

Congrats Big Jim. If you've been living under a rock over the past week or so, you'll know that Big Jim and Naomi are expecting their first child. Sami Zayn is on hand to be an honourary Uncle, whilst were all hoping that Solo gets left out in the cold.

Charlotte Flair vs Piper Niven.

Piper Niven, beat. Charlotte Flair in what was a fairly tame TV Match that offered up absolutely nothing, yes the result was shocking, but I was bored watching this. Wow Ireland loves Karens as much as I do. Chelsea. Chelsea Green, oh. Chelsea. Chelsea Green.

Michin Segment.

Ok WWE if you're going to do Giulia vs Michin, then just get on with it, and one other thing, am I the only person who thinks that Kiana James would be a great football transfer expert. You could call her Kiana Romano. Just imagine the draft episodes. DIY to Raw here we go. Roman Reigns to Friday Night Smackdown, full agreement with Nick Aldis contract is being written up. This just writes itself.

John Cena Segment.

This was a fantastic promo dual. Logan stopped John, before he could get a word out, this went the way that I thought it would go. Logan acted like a cockshaw dick, and the fans levied there hate towards him, and got censored for there troubles. This prompted John to do what he does best, give someone a verbal berrating for the world to see, and it was great to see. I could go through this beat by beat, but If I did that, then it wouldn't do the segment justice, so all I can say is this. Check it out for yourself. Logan got an AA to end the segment.

The Street Profits vs JC Mateo And Tonga Loa.

I'm not sure what to make of this Match. On one hand I got a lot out of it, and on the other I was left feeling a bit bored. The interaction spots from Sami Zayn, and. Big Jim, just felt predictable. The Street Profits got the win, when Montez Ford hit his frogsplash on JC. Ok I guess?

R Truth vs ASlestair Black.

Were's R Truth, well as it turns out, he got on the wrong flight, because he went to Dublin Alabama, and not Dublin Ireland. In reality this could be because of legal issues. So he got one of his mates to take his place. Damien Priest. This ended in all out carnage.

Drew Mcintyre Segment

Say his name, and he appears. I believe in Drew Mcintyre, ok I know that no one called his name, but he just came out from nowhere, called Cody Rhodes a bitch, and ate an RKO from out of nowhere From Randy Orton. I liked this.

Jade Cargill And Tiffany Stratton vs Becky Lynch And Nia Jax.

This was decent, not great, but decent. Jade got the win for her team, as this main event took the show off the air. Or so we thought.

John Cena Segment.

John Cena was seen leaving the arena, probably on his way to get a Mcdonalds, and he got chinned by Logan Paul, well what did you expect this Ireland on a Friday night. Nick Aldis looked pissed.

Overview Of Friday Night Smackdown.

Even I didn't like some parts of this weeks Friday Night Smackdown, the fans elevated the bad stuff with their enthusiasm, and that shone through the TV. Plus I got to eat my tea and watch Pro Wrestling. I say that's winning in life.

This weeks Friday Night Smackdown is a solid 6/10.

Top 5 Times Wrestlers Made Dodgy Cameos In Kids TV Shows.

Intro.

Who remembers the days when you would run home from school just so you get back in time for you favourite TV Shows. Now I know that Kids TV has changed over the years since I was a youngster, but the other week my friends daughter said to me, Uncle Patrick have you watched a show called Thundercats, and I said that I had, because it was around when I was a kid, but when she showed the new version. I realised how out of touch I am, when it came to other parts of culture, so to get in the mood to write this list. I watched episodes of bad childrens TV, and this is what I found.

5. Chris Jericho The Thundermans.

Boy meets Girl, and boy meets Parents, this couldn't go well, and it didn't. Chris played the parent of a Girl who was bringing home her boyfriend to meet her folks who own an MMA gym, this led to a load of unfunny high jinks, that would make any parent question their life choices. The things I do to make content.

4 Roman Reigns Cousin For Life.

What do you get when you take kids loosing a pet, and a dad who almost goes to the toilet in his pants, when he sees My Tribal Chief, well you get Roman Reigns in Cousin For Life. Oh boy were do I begin with this, all of this was just unwatchable.

3. The Rock Various.

This is a case in which you're spoilt for choice, you could pick his appearance in the Nickelodeon show Romeo, or his embarassing turn on Disney Channels The Wizards Of Waverly Place, so for this one, you can take your pick, so I don't have to. EVER AGAIN.

2. John Cena On Hannah Montana.

Ok this one actually made me laugh, because it was funny to see the actor who in real life was in his late twenties when this was filmed, and playing a sixteen year old who took an AA. This wasn't Johns first acting role, because he was in The Marine franchise, and that advert for Subway, yeah Don't Google that last one.

1. Big E On Side Hustle.

This isn't a hot take, so come closer to the screen, because I have something to shout into your ear, ok are you ready, ok then. Big E is very charismatic, and this god awful kids tv show is the proof, well that and his in-ring work, and promo style. I think that it was safe to say, that when Nickelodeon cast him for this role, they didn't dare to be sour.

AEW Dynamite Review 21.8.2025.

Bryan Danielson Is Back.

I loved this. Bryan Danielson took his place on commentary, he received a massive pop, and it was great to see. This was were he sat throughout the broadcast.

Mox And Osperay Face To Face And Jetspeed vs The Deathriders.

From the outset Will was clearly emotional, and it was written all over his face. The Glasgow AEW faithful took over, as Will took us on a trip down memory lane. From his first time in Glasgow, to the chant of sausage rolls. And at this point I agreed with what Will said. Greggs Sausage Rolls are amazing. He brought up the fact that AEW doctors wouldn't clear him, so he decided neck, or no neck, so this meant no clearance, no problem. He talked about the themes of passion and revenge with fire and grace, this brought out Jon Moxley, who didn't say a word, this was a clever part of this segment, because Mox's silence was more violent than what any words could be. This led to Claudio wanting to get involved, from basic insults to Jetspeed coming out, and just like that the first Match was on. Jetspeed and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs The Deathriders. From Bryce Remsburg kicking out Marina Shafir, and Osperay giving him a hand. The Match was a solid opener, that was a lot of fun to watch at 8.30am before I went to my day job. Tanahashi got the win for his team, and what came in the aftermath was utter insanity. A mass brawl, that featured Osperay getting superkicked by The Young Bucks. The Conglomeration taking them out. The Opps going for The Deathriders, oh and a Darby Allin coming out of a Bodybag, and flooring everyone, by flying off from an exit. oh and hello NJPW Bullet Club. This lasted for over 30 minutes, Normally if an opening segment, or Match lasts this long. I do tend to feel a bit bored, but this flew by, and I loved it.

Adam Copeland And Christian Cage Segment.

I loved this. 14 year old Patrick had a great time watching this. I could sit here and go through this beat by beat, but that is something that I would struggle to do. So i'm going say as I see it. This was a nice slice of Nostalgia, brought into the modern day. Kip Sabian and The Waynes, then said their part, and Nick said that he was out of the Match on Sunday, but he found a perfect replacement. The Returning Killswitch. This made me think that life is very short, because just under a year ago Killswitch's career was in the balance, due to a life threatening injury. It's great to see him back, and healthy.

Ricochet and MJF Segment.

This is a perfect tease for the future, and my God it tasted like the best bag of more to share Malteasers, more on these two later.

FTR vs Brodido Forbidden Door Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final.

This was the Match of the night. From chairs getting thrown out. And the solid in-ring work, and physicality, and Brody king busting open  with a steel pipe, by that glorious man Mr Hathaway, and on the subject of Stokeley Hathaway, I agree with Dax Harwood, the fans in Glasgow need to show him some respect. This was excellent. The Match ended in a time limit draw, and it had me gripped from the start. This means at Forbidden Door it will be a triple threat Match. Brodido vs FTR vs The Hurt syndicate. And I can't wait to see it.

Hangman Adam Page Segment.

The promos on this evening was the perfect way to send us off to the PPV this Sunday, and this was the best example of that. After last week. Hangman came out and called Max a coward, and said that he's going to shove his country style shoes up Max's arse, this prompted Tony Schiavone to let hangman know that Max has hijacked a cameraman, and he had a message for Hangman, if he ran out before the it ended, then bad things would happen. Max showed up on screen, with The Gates Of Agony, and. Ricochet, and they had Mark Briscoe tied up to a chair, and he had three rules that he wants Hangman to go by. His contract won't be executed. The Match can end by count out. The Championship can change hands by DQ. Mark got petrol poored on him, in a moment that reminded me of the famous scene in Resovoir Dogs, because he was stuck in the middle with Ricochet to the left of him, and Max to the right. This was sensational. Torture Mark, yeah Max likes that idea.

Mercedes Mone And Athena vs Timeless Toni Storm And Alex Windsor.

I liked this. From the great in ring work, and. Toni storm showing that she's a big fan of the Austin Powers franchise. This was a snug technical affair, that has made me look forward to there Matches respectively this Sunday . Mercedes and Athena got the win as the show went off the air.

Overview of AEW Dynamite.

This was the best AEW Dynamite of  ths year in my opinion. The in-ring work was excellent, and the promos followed the same pattern. This was a great broadcast to send us off to a major PPV.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 10/10 and one of the best Pro Wrestling episodes this year.

My Top 5 ( Delayed ) Thoughts On Monday Night Raw.

Intro.

This is a delayed piece, now you guys know, that if I have to hold things back, or can't do a review for whatever reason, then i'll give you guys a top 5 thoughts, or insights list. I'm writing this article at 7.46pm on a wednesday evening, this is because yesterday, my day job, needed me in earlier than normal, so I have had to hold back my thoughts on Monday Raw, that was until now.

5. WWE Opening Segments.

This tipped me over the edge. Last night after facing off a long day at my day job. I watched this segment with some Toasted Bacon and Cream Cheese Bagels, and a can of Sprite, the only thought that ran through my head was this. WWE opening segments, have become boring, and repetitive, and it's no shade on the performers. I just feel that this one was a bit painful to watch. And it's a shame because I like all involved.

4. We fans need to see Iyo Sky vs Asuka.

This is something that I didn't have on my bingo card, but my god do I want it. WWE teased this perfect, with their interactions after Iyo's win against Raquel Rodriguez.

3. Penta vs Xavier Woods.

Even though this Match was a bit predictable. I had watching it, and yeah I know what you thinking I was the only person that did. I get that The New Day's Sctick has started to drag a bit, but if it takes you away from your issues in everyday life, then surely it's working. Penta got the win.

2. Welcome Mr Iguana.

I love the fact that were getting to see Mr Iguana on WWE TV, to the point that i've created my own theme song, and it goes like this. ( insert drum and Bass Guitar rhythm ) Sing it with me now. His name is Mr Iguana. ( Shout ) HE'S GOT AN IGUANA. I think that this adds a sense of humour to proceedings. It's just a shame that he and Dragon Lee lost to Finn Balor, and. JD Mcdonagh.

1. Naomi Is Pregnant.

Sometimes in life you just have to sit back, and smell the roses, and proceed with caution. This going to be a theme In Naomi's life that will be a solid feature in her and big Jim Uso going forward, because their expecting their first kid together. What more can I say other than go and check this segment out. It was the right balance between Keyfabe, and real life. Congrats to both.

My Top 5 Insights From AEW Collision.

5. Timeless Toni Storm Segment.

I liked this. Toni Storm was on fire here, and it was great to Watch. Her delivery was on point, as she ran through what she thought of Athena, this caused Billy Starks, and. Athena to come out and attack Toni, as Billy dragged Toni down to the ring, and made her watch Athena's attempt at Imitation being the best form of flattery. This was a good way to kick start the show.

4. Jetspeed vs Wheeler Yuta And Jon Moxley.

This was excellent. I feel that this Match is something that acts as a counteraction for what is to come later down the line, from how it comes to AEW's  pressentation of The Deathriders. Yuta got the win for his team with a Bridge pin.

3.  Ricochet vs Ace Austin.

This is something that I like to see. Ace Austin in AEW. I have been a fan of his for some time, and i've always enjoyed his work in TNA. His Match here against Ricochet was a highlight, and a fantastic balance of styles.

2. Dr Puppet.

If only Dr Puppet did ads for Dr Pepper, I would buy the product a lot more, because this was gold, oh and welcome back Harley Cameron.

1. Technical Spectacle Daniel Garcia vs Hechicero vs Nigel Mcguinness vs Lee Moriarty.

This was awesome, and another look at how counteracting styles can make for excellent in-ring work. The Submissions, and near falls gave way for the Match to have time to breathe. The final exchanges gave way for an excellent finish, that saw Nigel Mcguinness get the win by submission, this means that he's now going to face Zac Sabre Jnr in London at Forbidden Door this coming Sunday. He asked Daniel Garcia to be in his corner at the PPV, and he accepted. I smell a heel turn incoming.

My Top Moments From UFC 319 Du Plesis vs Chimaev.

 Intro.

Things are now back to normal at O'malley towers, i've done a day at my day job, and i'm planning ahead for content in the future, and it starts now.

5. Tim Elliott Didn't Impress Me.

I know this is a hot take, but I don't think that Tim Elliott looked very good here, until he got the win by submission, Both he and Kai Sakura looked they were going through the motions. I didn't think much of this fight.

4. My Guy Venom Page.

Back in October 2021. I attended Bellator Fight Night London, and I witnessed Michael Venom Page, beat Douglas Lima, and even though I liked him before that night, I became a fan full on afterwards. Fast forward 4 years and he's in the UFC. His gage with the Middleweight, and Welterweight divisions still remains to be seen, but on the evidence of how he beat Jared Cannonier, I don't think we've seen the last of him at Middleweight. I'm glad he's now making that UFC bank.

3. UFC 320.

This card looks like one of the best, of the year so far this year, and I can't wait to check it out on Octoder 4th.

2. Lerone Murphy Is Coming For Volkanovsky.

This was a night that showcased what UK MMA is all about. Venom Page showcasing what true grit looks like, and then there's Lerone Murphy. I watched back his last fight which took place back in March when he faced Josh Emmett, earlier this week, and I don't think that it's his best performance, but what happened last night was beyond awesome, he beat Aaron Pico by knockout with a spinning back elbow, both he and Carlos Prates, got performance of the night, and knockout of the night bonuses, for their efforts. Check out Carlos Prates knocking out Jeff Neal, this one was a nasty sight.

1. Khamzat Chimaev Is The New Undisputed Middleweight Champion.

I have never seen a Champion get owned, that was until last night. Khamzat bullied Dricus on the ground, to become the new UFC Undisputed Middleweight Championship. I heard a lot of fans online say that this fight was boring, and to those all I have to say is this. Masterplans can be a beautiful thing when you dig beneath the surface.

My Thoughts On This Weeks Friday Night Smackdown.

Intro.

I've had to change things up here at O'malley Towers, this is because I had a minor case of burnout. So I decided to take some time for myself. This was for my own benefit, so I could give you guys my best for the next week, because with Forbidden Door content coming out, along with everything else that I have planned, my time is going to be taken up with making content, so guys there's plenty to come from me.

5. Solo Sikoa Segment.

I've got to say It. I haven't been a big fan of Solo's crew MFT. Yes I get that this is branch out from the original Bloodline, but when you dig beneath the surface, Solo hasn't been booked well since those days. His interactions with Sami Zayn was a nice touch as an add on from last week. This has me excited, as it could give a new direction for Sami, because he's now back on the blue brand. The segment ended with Sami getting beaten down by Solo's crew, and having to saved by Jakub Fatu, and. Big Jim Uso. I liked this.

4. Melo Don't Miz.

Melo Don't Miz, beat. Fraxiom, in what was a flat and painfully boring TV Match. This Match had no life to it, and it was a real shame.

3. Tiffany Stratton And Kianna James.

I think this Match needs to happen at some point, or if that doesn't happen, then give me Tiffany Stratton vs Giulia, both of these encounters sound enticing.

2. What Are WWE Doing With Drew Mcintyre.

What are WWE doing with Drew Mcintyre. He's been one of my favourite things in WWE over the past few years, but I can't help but feel that they're  rincing and repeating when it comes to him. I can't wait to see his Match against Cody when it happens, but I get the feeling that WWE are looking at Drew as the guy that helps the champion, but won't be the champion, look this is just my opinion, that I can't get over.

1. Six Man Tag Match.

Big Jim Uso. Jakub Fatu, and. Sami Zayn, beat. MFT, in what was a fun TV, was it perfect no, but I had fun watching it, because I felt that something from here just clicked.

AEW Dynamite Review 14.8.2025.

MJF And Hangman Adam Page Segment.

I liked this. From the very start you could feel the visceral feeling between the pair, and it was great to see. From snaps of anger, to moments of truth being the selling point of this segment. This was excellent work from both men, that led to the conclusion of Max executing at Forbidden Door, this is our main event for the UK PPV, and i'm gutted that i'm not going. More on these two later on.

Jon Moxley vs Kevin Knight.

This was awesome. The Physicality that was on display had me thinking, that this was a fascinating sight, that gave the Match time to breathe. As their counteractions were well matched, but it was Mox who got the win with a darce choke, but it was the aftermath that was more entertaining. Speedball Mike Bailey got taken care by The Deathriders, this caused Darby Allin to come out, and Bodybag Wheeler Yuta again, this caused Claudio Castagnoli to Bag Darby, and then hoy him on his shoulders and gave him a big spin and bump. This caused Will Osperay to come out, and challenge Mox to A Match at Forbidden Door. Will Osperay and his mates vs Jon and his mates. In a Liights Out Steel Cage Match. This is going to be golden, and I also think that this is going to leave all fans with a due, and it's got all the ingridients to be ACE. Mox would later be seen talking to a couple of Jobbers, and hello Gabe Kidd.

Mercedes Mone. Thekla, and. Skye Blue vs Alex Windsor, and. Willow Nightingale.

I didn't like this. Now don't get me wrong, I thought the physicality was great, and the ladies worked hard to get the fans on side, but I felt like their was something missing, and I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. Toni Storm and Athena were a study in contrast in the stands one looked Stoic, and the other was having a lovely old time. Alex Windsor got the win for her team, and Athena and Toni had a nice little fight. Toni, and. Alex then challenged Athena and Mercedes to Match next week, when AEW heads to Scotland, the land that created Iron Bru, and Ally Mccoist.

Adam Copeland vs Stokeley Hathaway.

I had fun watching this. Cope got the fans to cook Stokeley, which was wrong, as copeland laid bare a physical beat down on this glorious man, that was until FTR came out and got this Match thrown out with the help of some powder. FTR beat down Cope. This was when Christian Cage came out with Copes mate Spike, and has a tussle with Nick Wayne. Adam then hugged it out with his friend. This made 14 year old Patrick very happy, and then seeing the graphic that the pair will be facing Nick Wayne, and. Kip Sabian at Forbidden Door had feeling even more sad, because i'm not going to Forbidden Door, due to money reasons. At times during this. I thought Adam might change his name to Adam Lansbury, because if he had killed Stokeley, then this would've been called Murder Cope Wrote.

Hook Return Vignette.

All I have to say about this is real simple. As a comic book fan I love this. Holy smokes AEW are going in hard with DC Comics.

The Young Bucks. Josh Alexander, and. Kyle Fletcher vs Brody King. Hologram. Tomohiri Ishii, and Hiromu Takahashi.

This was a superb look, at how mixed and muddled things can be very watchable. The Bucks battered Justin Roberts, because they got mugged off again. The Match ran at a pace of an oversized Energizer Bunny, and this allowed for all men to get their moves in. This was by far the best thing on the show in my opinion. Taka and his team got the win. He will now face Kyle Fletcher at Forbidden Door for the TNT Championship, could life get any worse.

Swerve Strickland Segment.

Sound issues with Renee Paquette aside, this was perfect. His Interactions with Okada were great. Sometimes in Pro wrestling, you don't to have a full blown segment in order to sell the Match, sometimes you just need moments like this. Perfect.

The Opps vs LFI.

I wasn't into this Match. It just felt flat, and I struggled to think how this got to be a main event. The Opps got the win. This wasn't for me.

Hangman Adam Page Is Attacked.

Hangman was having a chat with Renee Paquette, and then he was attacked by MJF, he told Hangman if he thinks this is bad, then he's not seen anything yet. This felt nasty, visceral, and violent through words, and I loved it. This was a great way to send the show off the air.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

Even though there were moments in this broadcast that weren't for me, but as a whole it was solid, the in ring action went from good to great, and the Forbidden Door developments are showing a lot of promise.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a high 7/10.

Top 5 Time Wrestlers Appeared In Music Videos.

Intro.

Given the fact that music Videos still have a fascinating form for creativity, this art form has had a varied history with the Pro Wrestling art form. MTV in the nineteen eighties, and nineteen nineties, was a bombastic change in direction, and as the years continued Pro Wrestling would be brought in, as the fans of all genres grew even younger. So here's my list of the times when Pro Wrestlers appeared in Music Videos.

5. The Ultimate Warrior. Phil Collins Two Hearts.

If I told that this combination happened, I don't think that you would've believed me, but it did, the Genesis warbler made a video with this horrific human being, as a selling point for the Collins track Two Hearts, the song itself is terrible, but at least we got to see Gilbert Gotfried, in a funny role.

4. Seth Rollins A Day To Remember All My Friends.

I recently showed my mum, and my dog Jayne this video, and lets just say. It had varied results. My Mum couldn't stop laughing, whilst Jayne ranaway. The video centred around a wild night out gone wrong, which was only made worse when Seth burnt down the bar that the band was drinking in. This should act as a PSA, don't allow Seth Rollins to have a flame gun, because he will burn anything that is around him.

3. AJ Styles Something To Do With Your Hands Sarah Darling.

I think it's easy to say that Sarah Darling is a late 2000's rip off of Country Taylor Swift, her image might be different, but her sound is very much the same. This video is something that I would see as lemonades version of bad. AJ shows up to mend multiple things Darling has dismantled, or just ruined, which ranged from pipes underneath her sink, to an old fashioned TV Set. It's widely known that in the TNA Locker-Room AJ was wound up refusely for appearing in this musical advert for questionable taste.

2. Alexa Bliss. Alexa Bliss. Bowling For Soup.

This song is a reminder that Bowling For Soup, was a band that used to be cool, when I was 15. This is a look at how bad they had became. The band that crafted songs about living in 1985, learning the ethics of Punk Rock, and being liked by The Girl That All The Bad Guys Want, were now trying to cash in on WWE in 2018, when they featured Alexa in this omage to cringe.

1. 21 Savage Ric Flair Drip.

Stylin, Profilin, and by all accounts being a dodgy person, are all things than can be said about Ric Flair these days. But this video that he made with 21 Savage is just insane, it's something that i want to look away from, but I just can't, because, well. It's Ric Flair. The track, and the ideas that surround this, are taylor made for someone like Ric.

My Top 5 Favourite Metal Bands And how They Counteract With Pro Wrestling.

Intro.

In life we all have, healthy, and unhealthy forms of aggression, and this can be said when it comes to Pro Wrestling, and Metal music. It's been said that Music has the ability to make you think, and feel in equal measures, and hit you in a place that carries all of our emotions. Your Heart. Pro Wrestling Matches also have this ability, because when two wrestlers enter the ring, no one can predict how the story is about to unfold. This is the same when you listen to an album from your favourite band.

5. Parkway Drive.

This Australian five piece have set the world ablaze over the past twenty years. Their new found theatrics, mixed in with hard hitting riffs, pounding drums, crushing baselines, and the overriding themes of Love. Honour, and impending doom, has made this band, a modern revolution. About ten years ago their was a big question surrounding future festival headliners, this has been said about PPV's aswell, with Wrestlemania, and All In being great examples. I can't wait to see these guys at London's Wembley OVO Arena this coming October

4. Killswitch Engage.

I'm a big fan of this band, their lyrics, act like an emotional sharp jab to the heart, whilst their guitar riffs, and drum tracks pound away at my senses. They've got a history with my favourite past time. In 2007 they performed the track This Fire Burns, which was the entrance theme for Cm Punk, and. End Of Heartache is currently being used for Roderick Strong in AEW. Ricochet is also known to be a fan. I can't to wait to see them in October at London's Wembley OVO Arena.

3. Slipknot.

This band has had a rough ride over the years, from lawsuits, the death of it's members, and not to mention that Shawn crahan has stated in the past, that the band didn't make much Money from their first five albums. This is how some wrestling promoters have behaved for years, from the indy scene to the big time. The sound of the band has never wavered, as fans appreciation has grown over the years.

 2. Slayer.

From patterned aggression, to the overwhelming usage of honesty. This band have the ability to make you feel like a normal person. slayer are that band that resemble a backyard Wrestling Promotion, that caters to the sick, and utterly splended at the same time. I only know the South Of Heaven as well.

1. Metallica.

Give Me fuel, give me fire, give me that what I desire. Metallica fans are as loyal as they come, this has led to a steady load of tribalism over the years, in the same way that WWE fans feel towards AEW fans, and vice versa. Also did you hear that Hulk Hogan once Auditioned for them ( yeah right ).

My Top 5 Insights From AEW Collision.

5. Kyle Fletcher vs Tomohiro Ishii TNT Championship.

I liked this. The Match oozed charisma, and had solid physicality. I have to say, i'm starting to get behind Kyle Fletcher. I think the monicker The Protostar isn't just a clever thing to say on TV, or to put on a t shirt. He retained easily, and called his shot to face anyone from NJPW at Forbidden Door. Don Callis then echoed these sentiments later on.

4. Ricochet Wrecks Fools.

I love Ricochet and his new crew with The Gates Of Agony, especially when they wreck fools. I love this guy Ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

3. Juice Robinson vs Ricochet.

This was a massive cluster, it felt like Tony Khan had taken pages from WWE's playbook, it was overbooked, over produced, and a complete waste of time. Ricochet got the win.

2. FTR And Big Stoke vs Some Local Jobbers.

FTR, and. Big Stoke, beat some local jobbers, in a fun TV Match, thanks to that glorious man. I love me some Stokeley, can we please have more of this glorious man on TV please.

 1. The Triangle Of Madness vs Willow Nightingale. Tay Melo, and. Queen Aminata.

I liked this. This had a solid flow to it, and it was highly enjoyable. That crazy trio of Madness got the win.

My Top 5 Thoughts On UFC Night Night Dolidze vs Hernandez.

My Thoughts On Friday Night Smackdown.

You Guys know that I don't like doing apologies, but I had to outright miss Friday Night Smackdown when it came to writing a review. I did check it out later in the evening, and if i'm being honest I thought this show was a mix-bag. John Cena's promo dual with Logan Paul was class, and Chelsea Green eating cake the hard way, was a fun sight, but the rest of the show felt feasible. This was a real shame, because with all of the negative press that the WWE has been getting, I think they could've put forward their best foot, but they didn't.

5. Eryk Adders Gets Owned By A Brit.

Christian Leroy Duncan, beat. Eryk Adders in what was a fantastic performance. His boxing looked crisp, and his speed acted like flowing water. This was excellent. And to think the Man is from Gloucestershire.

4. Jean Matsumoto.

Jean Matsumoto had a great showing in victory. When this fight got confirmed I was excited to see it, because some of my favourite fighters in UFC history come from the Bantamweight Division. This is what happens when you have a fighter with a great gas tank, and the other eats up pressure, you know what you're in for, a good old time if you get these ingridients.

3. Andre Fili Will Be A Champion.

I've been watching Andre Fili for some time, and I've got to say it. He's not looked this good for some time, he beat Christian Rodriguez by split decision.

2. Toshinomi Kazuma And That Slam.

This was one of those moments that you hoped you didn't see, but you did. Elliott Smith slammed Toshinomi Kazuma, and it looked nasty, he landed in between a mixture of his head and neck. It was reported during the broadcast that Kazuma was ok, and was later cleared by UFC doctors later on.

1. Roman Dolidze vs Anthony Hernandez.

There's a new contender in town for the Middleweight crown, and his name is Anthony Hernandez, he looked awesome, and his slick submission was a solid move, now lets get on to Roman Dolidze. I've been a fan of Romans for a couple of years now, and this has to be his worst performance yet, he couldn't defend takedowns, he was focusing on the stand up game, and this was his downfall, as he had a point taken away for holding the cage. I don't know where the UFC go next with Roman, as this loss will take him out of the top ten Middleweight rankings list, so this does ask questions, that only Dana White, and Sean Shelby can answer.

 The Brock Lesnar Situation Explained.

Content Warning.

This article this contains references towards abuse and grooming, that some readers might find distressing, reader discretion is advised.

This Past Weekend.

Over the stretch of last weekend WWE presented its Summer opus Summerslam, which took place over two nights, Night one was a reminder of what an uneven mixbag looks like, with night 2 acting like a well run machine, with the added disclosure of be careful what you wish for. I just need to say that this isn't a Brock Lesnar hit piece. This is a look at how fans have been divided under the face of scrutiny. I'm going to delve into the why's and hows, when it comes to how we get got to this situation.

The Start.

Before we get into the serious side of things, we have to go back to when he debuted for the WWE, he made his debut on the 18th of March 2002, and from that moment he had the rocket strapped to him. The terms The Next Big Thing. Suplex City. Here Comes The Pain, and. The Beast Incarnate, were not just clever things to put on t shirts, it was a clever way of telling fans that this guy was a looming threat, it was the direction that WWE's creative was going under at the time. This was when Vince Mcmahon came into the Picture, it was known that Lesnar saw the former chairman as a mentor. I think this is were the lines could have started to get blurred.

The Threads Of Abuse.

Vince Mcmahon has been called a lot of things over the years, but his image nowadays is mered in Controversy to the worst degree. In 1985 he was accused of rape by former WWE referee Rita Chatterton, this would be a common trend for Mcmahon in  the coming decades. It was known that he didn't have the best of up bringings, from abuse in the family home, to his own dad Vince Snr not being around. I feel that this could have played a part in what was to come. This has left me with questioins when the Janelle Grant Lawsuit came about. Can the abused, become the abuser? And has Brock been groomed to think that certain behaviours are ok. This could be the routine that groomers take. The phrase I blame parents used to get thrown around, but to me this only part of the excuse, because it's the individuals that need to held accountable.

Not The First Time.

On June 8th The Wall Street Journal primarily reported findings on Vince Mcmahon, this would get picked up by the New York Magazine on the 26th of January 2024, this would contain allegations surrounding hush money pay outs, and Sexual abuse. The first accounts that echoed throughout the Summer of 2022, saw Vince Retire in disgrace, only to come back in January of 2023, this was to facilitate the sale of WWE to Endeavour, this would come to completion as 2023 rolled on, as the WWE merged with the UFC to form TKO, a mega force in Combat Sports. On the 25th of January 2024 the Janelle Grant Lawsuit was filed in the United States District of Connecticut, this detailed years of abuse, as the suit was directed at Vince Mcmahon. John Laurenitis, and WWE, on the grounds of Sexual Abuse, and Sex Trafficking, and harbouring a toxic work envirioment. The document resulted in 68 pages detailing what Grant went through, and as the pages got worse, you could see the parental pattern come to light. The documents also detailed times when Vince would traffic Janelle to resign a former UFC Champion, who the WWE were trying to resign. The filing was later amended to name Brock Lesnar 44 times. Back in 2021 an episode from season 3 of Darkside Of The Ring centred around what actually happened on the plane ride from hell. Ric Flair was accused of Sexual Assault, and it brought forward industry failings when it came to how wrestlers interacted with each other. Terry Runnels accused Brock of indecent exposure. She was told to not make a big deal of it, when the words don't sell it was advised to her. When you balance all of these things together, it paints a picture of a situation, in which the attitudes of men needed to be a lot more sympathetic towards those who just wanted the situation that they were to stop.

TKO.

Flash forward to the Summer of 2025. In the aftermath of Summerslam. John and Cody had finished, and as the dust was settling Brock's theme could be heard echoing around Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. In the Stadium this was met with a huge pop, however the online community told a different story. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I felt unsettled, and I had every right to be. In the aftermath I googled whether this was a TKO move, and as it turned out TKO was rumoured that he on was a band list. This was loosely mentioned by Dave Meltzer, and told as truth by former UFC Fighter Daniel Cormier. So this means that it was a WWE call. I feel that this was a complete mis step, and a bad look. I have friends who have gone through these issues, so if someone like me felt unsettled, then I can't imagine how they must've felt, because like me they're Pro Wrestling fans.

Don't Shame Fans.

In the aftermath of Brocks return I looked into the legal side of this case, and I was feeling bemused. WWE's legal team cleared Brock to return, this is due to the fact that WWE think that this case could be going in the direction of arbortration, which means that both parties can't meet in the middle. I can see things from both sides. Janelle Grant has done nothing wrong, so taking this case to the public is a way of saying that she has nothing to hide, whilst WWE wanting  to keep this private, this could be due to a mariad of reasons, mainly the protection of their brand, that was tainted by the old regime. As the days went by. I started to research this. I was met with everything from. Tone Deaf responses, to overblown merchandising. I'm not going to tell people how they should feel about this. I can only state my own opinion. So if fans want to buy Brock Lesnar merch, then that's their right, and it's not up to anyone to say otherwise. My main inspiration for writing this piece, was on Monday their was lot's of misinformation going around on X, and I don't think that's right, because that can be damaging when it comes to public perception. The only thing I can say is this. We have our own thoughts on this subject. I just think Brocks return has a nasty asterix against it, that has made me feel unsettled.
