WWE Friday Night Smackdown Review 19.7.2025.

Intro.

This one of my favourite times of year to be a WWE fan, there's just something special about WWE in the summertime, and I can't quite put my finger on why. I know that this is just my opinion,  but I do love the build to Summerslam, as it's one of my favourite events on the  Pro wrestling calender.

Who Dunnit.

This was a case of WWE does Diagnosis murder, because we opened up on a who dunnit, who tried to kill Solo Sikoa's crew. Adam Pearce, who was stepping in for Nick Aldis, was then taken away by Cody Rhodes. This would be a running theme through out the show.

Charlotte Flair vs Raquel Rodriguez.

This was an entertaining fun Match. I enjoyed this. From the promise of Perez vs Bliss, to Charlotte and Raquel having good chemistry. This was a solid run through, that worked to continue Flair, and. bliss's can they coexist dynamic. Flair got the win, thanks to her mate Alexa.

 Damien Priest vs Carmelo Hayes.

Am I the only person who thinks that Damien Priest, and. Alestair Black, sholud be a tag team? oh just me then, oh well. He decked both Priest, and Hayes, and got their Match thrown out. The Match however had some fantastic moments of great back and fourth action.

The Wyatts Sic.

The Wyatt Sic, delivered a cryptic message to The Street Profits, which they answered back later on.

Solo Sikoa Crew.

I liked this. As the chants of WHAT, and. OTC echoed throughout the arena. Solo proceeded to throw Jacob under the storyline bus, he called him selfish, whilst bringing up his real life term in prison. This was when the Feds showed, after having released Jacob, this meant that he was now on a warpath, and oh my did he want revenge.  With the help of Big Jim Uso, they took out Solo's faction. I loved it when Tala Loa no sold getting slammed over the announcers table. Big jim helped Jacob batter JC, and Tonga, and this when Adam Pearce then came out, and said that at Summerslam Solo Sikoa will defend his United States Championship in a Steel Cage Match. This was excellent, it managed to pull the gravitas of the story, and make it feel real.

JellyRoll Is The Man.

I don't know if anyone here in the UK has seen this, but WWE taking over Jimmy Kimmel live was classic. It's always great when Logan Paul gets what he deserves. This had me feeling Higher Than Heaven. Also Drew, and. Randy having a gladiators fight was also funny.

Stephanie Vaquer vs Alba Fyre.

Stephanie Vaquer, beat. Alba Fyre in what was a flat TV Match, that offered up absolutely nothing.

Fatal 4 Way For The No1 Contendership For The WWE Tag Team Championships.

I have to admit it. I liked this. I don't normally like Fatal 4 Way Tag Team Matches. They normally fall short of my expectations, but this one was a lot of fun. Andrade, and. Rey Fenix, beat. Fraxiom. The Motorcity Machine Gunns, and. DIY, and will now face The wyatt Sic next week, for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Cody Rhodes And John Cena Contract Signing.

Adam Pearce oversaw the proceedings. Cody signs the contract, whilst basking in the adjulation of the fans, he spoke about the oversight of his activities on Social Media this week, whilst stating that he flinched when he lost to Cena at Mania, to me this wasn't a flinch it was a blink. John came out, and played the victim of circumstance roll perfectly, as he said that he couldn't face Cody at Summerslam due to filming commitments. The split film image was used here to great effect. John walked out, and this pissed Cody off who then went and attacked John. Cody blasted John with the Championship, forged his signature, and then told him, that there Match at Summerslam for the WWE Championship will be a Street Fight. This was an excellent way to end the show, lets just hope that this Match delivers, because I defended their Mania Match, and I was left wishing that I hadn't.

Overview Of Friday Night Smackdown.

This Broadcast was a blast to sit through, and I had a lot of fun watching, because their was very little to not like in my opinion. The in-ring action, and Promos were on the same level, more of this please WWE.

This weeks WWE Friday Night Smackdown is a high 7/10.

 AEW Dynamite Review 17.7.2025.

Intro.

With the high trajectory that AEW has been riding at the moment. It was important that the Jacksonville outlet, had a fantastic night on Saturday. With that achieved, their momentum must continue as fobidden Door looms around the PPV corner. Now is the time for AEW to not rest on their lorals, now is the time to strike, so they can really leave their impact, as the year enters the final months.

Tony Schiavone Interviews Hangman Adam Page.

This was fantastic, and a superb way to start the show. Tears, and emotion were seen to nearly be running down Hangmans face, as the fans chanted. You Deserve It, and. Thank you Hangman. Adam spoke about how the company was built on DIY roots, and how the fans helped create this revolution in Pro Wrestling. He thanked the competitors who gave everything in order to stop The Deathriders, whilst talking about the importance of family, because he's Hangman Adam Page, and he's the f****** champ. This felt visceral, important, and also unnerving, because I get the feeling that Hangman might be the victim of becoming a transitional champion. The tease of him facing Osperay again is very teasing, and exciting to me.

The Young Bucks Slumming It.

Taxi for Matt, and. Nicholas. So no Limo then lads. The Young Bucks Slumming It, you love to see it. This was a funny minor thread, as. Renne Paquette. Ricochet, and Damn It Don Callis, all got their licks in. Don braught up the fact that Okada may have killed kenny Omega, which got me thinking when he said the words Kenny's dead. He's a fan of the South Park Album Chef Aid.

MJF And The Hurt Syndicate.

MJF said that he will beat Hangman clean, whilst MVP still wants Tag teams to step up to The Hurt Syndicate. This was filmed after All In on Saturday, which explains why MVP sounded just like me the other week, when I got home from seeing Linkin Park at Wembley Stadium. His voice was beyond raspy.

8 Man Tag Match.

Hechicero. Josh Alexander, and. The Young Bucks, beat. Jetspeed. Bandido, and. Brody King, in what was a solid physical encounter. The Bucks got mugged off good and proper here. No Backscreen, and. No Theme music, to Justin Roberts laughing at them. Once again. You love to see it.

Adam Copeland Segment.

I liked this. The fans were on great voice here, as they welcomed Cope back. The themes of jealousy, and betrayal came to light when he spoke about his past, to pressent day with Christian cage, but his true intentions is to end FTR. From Adam pulling back the curtain, and talking from an honest place, this was excellent, and his dual with that glorious man Stokeley Hathaway, was great. Stokeley said if Adam goes near FTR he would be fired from AEW, so Adam took it upon himself to attack a glorious man, as the security showed what they are. Cowards. I had a blast watching this.

Mark Briscoe Segment.

I'm not a religous man, but I do need to say this. Mark Briscoe god bless you sir.

Thekla vs Queen Aminata vs Kris Statlander vs Willow Nightingale 1.0000 4 Way.

Thekla, beat. Queen Aminata. Kris Statlander, and. Willow Nightingale, to become completely loaded, with the help of Skye Blue, and. Julia Hart. This Match was a lot of fun. From Aminata helping Willow get a bit ass faced. Thekla giving herself a good showing, and Nightingale, and. Statlander reigniting their feud. This was great.

Timeless Toni Storm Victory Speech.

This was a complete blast. From Toni pressenting herself as the sexual classy lady that she is, to her thanking Mercedes Mone, by saying that she did what she said she was going to do, and eat Mercedes alive, if she made a mistake at All In, and she did. She said that Luther is injured. I know what you're all thinking. Doing the Danny Larusso Crane Kick, can be lethal. Athena, and Billy Starks then showed up on the big screen, and. Athena laid all her options for when she might cash in her Gauntlet contract. Toni then laid bare what she is sexually, and said she's Timeless. I liked this.

The Patriarchy Segment.

Nick Wayne, and. Kip Sabian, told the world why they put Christian cage out to pastures, whilst Moma Wayne acted like a tease, ooh Moma Wayne you so naughty.

Kazuchika Okada Wrecks A Local Jobber.

I didn't catch the name of the guy that Okada destroyed, but I loved it when he called out Swerve Strickland in the aftermath, because he wasn't happy with what happened on Saturday. Swerve then came out, and flipped the script, and said. Yeah, me and. Osperay beat them, and what Bitch. Also Damn It Don Callis acting like Bruce Buffer was funny.

The Deathriders vs Hangman Adam Page. Powerhouse Hobbs, And Mark Briscoe.

Even though this did have some solid bursts of energy from all involved. It also felt very subdued at the same time. This was a differant DeathRiders, and they need to be. This became the main story of the Match, as the final stages came to a close the Match became a complete over delivery, as Hangman got the win for his team, and was beaten down in the aftermath by Mox and his crew, this was when the figure that is Darby Allin showed up, and became the difference maker, as the show went off the air.

Overview of AEW Dynamite.

In the way of how fall out shows go in Pro Wrestling, this didn't feel like a fall out show, and it didn't feel like a reset, what we got here was a continuation of what had already played out, some might think this could be a mis-step, to me I think some fans need to let this play out.

This Weeks Dynamite is a solid 7/10.

My Top Womens Matches in WWE History.

Please bare in mind that this was written before WWE Evolution.

Intro.

This Sunday Night will be the real definition of Ladies Night. With the build to Evolution 2 being at a poor level. This has got me thinking. What are the best Womens Matches to ever take place under the WWE banner. This has lead me down several rabit holes, so lets take a look at how the Matches and competitors, have changed this industry for the better.

5. Sable vs Jaqueline.

This was used as an storyline book end, and it worked well when it happened at Survivor Series 1998. I get that the bikini contest that they had a Fully Loaded In Your House 1998, doesn't hold up by todays standards ( For obvious reasons ). But the Match they had was excellent, and it created the blueprint for what was to come down the line, just a few years later. But it's aftermath was even more fascinating, because just two months later Sable was gone from the then WWF, stating an unsafe workplace, and claims of sexual harressment, being her reasons for leaving. She would go on to sue the company.

4. Bayley vs Sasha Banks NXT Takeover Brooklyn.

Recently I watched the footage on Youtube when HHH told both ladies they were  main eventing the show, and I think this galvanised both ladies to deliver, and they did, because this was a fascinating stark look into how longterm booking becomes a true reality. This Match is a must watch for any young girl who's looking to get into this industry, as it became the modern day answer to a blueprint being portrayed on a worldwide level. It's no secret that i've been a fan of both ladies work for many years, and it was great to see these two carve out their own careers in this sport.

3. Sasha Banks vs Charlotte Flair Falls Count Anywhere Match.

This Match is how you teach lessons in complete unpredictability. On the 28th of November 2016 edition of Monday Night Raw, Flair, and. Banks put an end to their feud in what has been called one of the best Falls Count Anywhere Matches in WWE's recent years, and when I was watching it back for this list, you can see why. Both ladies managed to carve out a fantastic story. I might not be the biggest fan of Charlotte Flairs these days, but it doesn't change the fact she's a phenomanal talent, that has become this decades answer to Trish Stratus, when it comes to in ring ethic.

2. Asuka vs Charlotte Flair Wrestlemania 33.

I don't think this Match gets the plaudits that it deserves. Ronda Rousey's debut may have stole the headlines, but this Match to me stole the show. If you think back to Mania 3. The same thing could have been said, when comparing Savage vs Steamboat, and. Hogan vs Andre. Both Matches were a study in contrast, when both played out in real time. But it was the first ones on this ocasion that I hold up in higher regard.

1 Trish Stratus vs Lita.

This took place on the 6th of December 2004 edition of Monday Night Raw. Two women main eventing WWE's main flagship. This was seen as something that had to be seen, to be believed. This at the time was history being played out on a worldwide scale. Both ladies put on show, in order to end a show. Both ladies have spoken about this over the years, and to say that they were honoured, and filled with pride is overused understatement, that will live on in their memories.

My Top 5 Moments From Monday Night Raw.

Intro

As the year marches on into the Summer Season. WWE's flagship red brand continues to keep marking it's line in the sand, by giving us fans good stuff to get our teeth into, and this weeks show was no differant. The focus from this past weekend is something that was carried throughout this broadcast, as the women gave themselves some good showings, sending a clear message to HHH, give us some better creative, as the men were left scrambling to try and match what the women had done the night before.

5. Naomi Segment.

Our new WWE Womens Champion opened up the show in the only way that she knew how, putting shade on both Bianca Belair, and Jade Cargill, which proves the point that betrayal can get you gold. This angered Mami, and Rhea was quick to tell the cautioness one that she's made her list, and just like that Rhea became the female version of Chris Jericho. Iyo Skye then said her piece. Naomi told the pair to get to the back of the line. Adam Pearce by this point came out and Welcomed Naomi to Monday Night Raw, and then told us that Summerslam it will be Naomi vs Rhea Ripley vs Iyo Skye for the Womens Championship At Summerslam. I liked this. The idea of this Match has me very excited.

4. AJ Styles Needs Help.

I'm convinced that my guy AJ Styles is a Marieh Carey fan, because he's obsessed with Dominik Mysterio. I hear that AJ likes the song Obsessed.

3. Bayley vs Lyra Valkyria 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match.

I loved this. The winner of the Match will face Becky lynch at Summerslam. This was superb, both worked an absolute stomper of a TV Match, that played the mental guessing game of chess perfectly, the Match was levelled at 1 fall a piece, and the final exchanges saw Lyra get the win with her Nightwing finisher. She then had a face off against Becky who was cosplaying as the kid from IT, all she needed was a red balloon.

2. Nikki Bella Is Back.

I'm glad to see that Nikki Bella is back, she's had a rough time of late, and it's great to see her back in a WWE ring, she beat Chelsea Green in her first singles Match back.

1. Gunther Segment And The Gauntlet Match.

Gunthers segment was what I expected, only with the edition of Paul Heyman, bringing things back up to speed. Heyman put over Bron Breakker, as the face of WWE's future, because he's The Next Big Thing. The Big Dog, and Gunther is in his yard. And Bron is going to win because he's a Steiner. And you know what that means, he's got 5+7-20%6 chance of getting the job done. The Gauntlet saw Bron, beat. Penta. LA Knight. Jey Uso, before falling to Cm Punk. Punk will now face Gunther at Summerslam, the Gauntlet was a lot of fun, from Jey coming out to help Punk. Bronson Reed being a pain at ringside, and of course the Return of Roman Reigns to end the show. Roman came out to stop the beat down, and once The Brons had left the ring, he helped his cousin back up to his feet, this going to lead to the rumoured Tag Team Match at Summerslam against The Brons.

My Top 5 Insights From WWE Evolution.

Apologies ( again )

You guys know me. I hate doing these apologies, but due to the fgact that this weekend went like a blur, from working on this blog, to my day, to WWE playing the game of being children. I was unable to do a full review of Evolution, but given the fact that this is my passion, and I want to be able to give you guys my best, no matter how tired I am, so here goes nothing.

5. Katy Perry's Rise Is The Theme Of The Show.

I don't get this. The Song kicks in with the theme of empowerment, but Katy Perry's actions in recent years hasn't equaled this. Her support of Dr Luke, a man who has multiple alligations surrounding sexual assault against him, kind of makes this message fall flat. I get that Dr Luke didn't have anything to do with the production of this track. I just don't think it's not a good idea to use this song, given the fact that it's message feels forced, due to Perry's past connections.

4. Dodgy Production Tricks.

This looked Bad. WWE did a bad job to hide those empty seats. It's no secret that this show has under performed at the box office for WWE, This but this was bad. For the past two years AEW came under a lot of flack from WWE fans due to their run of bad luck, when it came to their attendences, so seeing this sight, to me is a reminder that fans in glass houses should'nt throw stones.

3. Triple Threat Match For The Womens Intercontinental Championship Becky Lynch vs Bayley vs Lyra Valkyria.

This was a very even affair, as all three ladies got to have their own energetic bursts, which allowed for the physicality to become the main attraction. Becky retained after a fantastic final series of exchanges.

2. WWE Womens Tag Team Championship Alexa Bliss And Charlotte Flair vs Roxanne Perez And Raquel Rodriguez vs The Kabuki Warriors vs Zaria And Sol Ruca.

This Match had no right to be as awesome as it was, and it was great. This Match was solid, everyone involved got their moves in, as this allowed the stars to shine, whilst giving the future room to breathe. Sol Ruca, and Zaria need to be on the main roster and soon. Raquel got the win for her team, when she gave Ruca, a tahana bomb.

Rhea Ripley vs Iyo Skye WWE Womens Championship.

This Match played out like the thriller movie genre, as the themes of mindgames, and respect were played out to gratifying effects, as the chants of womens wrestling echoed throughout Atlanta. These two showed why this genre is more important now, more than ever. This had moments that echoed in sound, like Iyo launching herself off from some sound equipment with a crossbody, to Rhea Powerbombing onto the naked floor. It was this final set of exchanges that saw the shocking conclusion, as Naomi took her chance, as she cashed in her Money In The Bank Briefcase to become the new WWE Womens Champion. I liked this, as it offers up several directions that WWE could venture down.

AEW All In Texas 2025 Review.

Apologies.

I have to start this review of with an apology, because this was due to be out in the early hours of this morning. But given the fact that the show ran  for just over 6-hours, and I had an entire day ahead of me in my day job to do in a matter of hours after the show had finished, this made getting the review done in that time, an impossible task, so i've sat down at my chromebook, at 7.30 in the evening to write it. So sit back and enjoy.

Wheeler Yuta. Claudio Castagnoli And Gabe Kidd vs The Opps AEW Trios Championship.

This was a Match that was centred around having a solid base from the start, but that's it, the Match suffered from not having a lot substance, put if you isolate that, it did have moments like Hobbs cleaning out Wheeler Yuta. A narly looking triple suplex, to Yuta eating a Muscle buster from Joe for the retention. Claudio then crushed Joe's larix, with a steelchair in the aftermath. If i'm being honest this was way too long. This would be a thread that would run throughout the broadcast.

Mens Casino Gauntlet Match.

MJF won the Gauntlet Match, at first I thought that this would be quite predictable, but I've never been more happy to be wrong, because this was a thoroughly entertaining romp, that was well paced, that gave room for the intertwining storylines within the Match to have time to breathe. MJF and Mark Briscoe. Anthony Bowens, and. Max Castor. MJF, and. Mistico, and. Bandido, and. Konosuke Takeshista, all benefitted from this, and the return of a clean shaven Juice Robinson, getting back together with his former team,  The Gunns, just made for a sense of things getting back to normal. I liked this.

TNT Championship 4 Way.

This was a change to the scheduled Match, because Adam Cole was deamed as not medically cleared. Adam Cole came out, and said to the fans, that he's not going to be competing for the forseable future for health reasons, meaning that he's got to vacate the belt. This didn't feel like a standard relinquishing of the belt. I actually felt worried for Adam, but if he he's got to go away to take care of himself, then that should come above any wrestling Match. His Paragon Brothers Kyle O'reilly, and Roderick Strong walked him up the ramp, when he had a word with Daniel Garcia, as the 4 way got underway. Dustin Rhodes, beat. Sammy Guervara. Daniel Garcia, and. Kyle Fletcher, to become the new TNT Champion. I thought that this was a nice thing to do, given the fact that Dustin is from Texas, but it didn't change the fact that the fans were emotionally spent from the announcement that came beforehand. The Match was a standard affair, and that I couldn't get into 1st gear with. It's nothing against the Competitors. This just wasn't for me. The sight of Dustin celebrating with his family, was a nice scene.

Will Osperay And Swerve Strickland vs The Young Bucks.

This is my match of the year so far. From the entrances looking like a finely dreseed videogame, that had been curated by Stanley Kubrick, to Jojo Offerman singing Swerve out to the ring. A certain man who used to love to Catch fly's is looking down from heaven a proud man when this happened. We miss you Bray. This was a quick paced running blast of a Match, that was centred around the story of can Will and Swerve coexist, which became the overarching theme of the Match. The physicality gave room for the Match to breathe. Going into this I knew it would have a high ceiling. I didn't realise that these four man would smash right through it, and break my expectations, and create one of the best Tag Team Matches that I have ever seen. The exchanges were performed at a frantic pace, whilst the near falls added a sense of drama to the proceedings. Swerve and Osperay got the win, after they hit a hidden blade, and last call Combo, and therefore releasing The Young Bucks from their E.V.P duties. This was simply stunning.

Womens Casino Gauntlet Match.

I wasn't a fan of this Match. Look Don't get me wrong I like Athena, and she's a more than deserving winner. I just don't think that this suited her, because the fabric of this Match became unwoven very quickly. This Match had no substance to it. The ladies interferences from Anna Jay. Harley Cameron, and. Skye Blue, all fell flat. This fell below the standards that it had set for itself.

AEW Tag Team Championships. The Hurt Syndicate vs Jetspeed vs The Patriarchy.

This Match was a victim of its own circumstance. The build was poor, and unfortunately the Match followed that pattern. The Hurt Syndicate got the retention, and Christian Cage got battered by his own son in the aftermath, as FTR who were on commentary just watched on, as Momma Wayne started thinking, that this is better than a divorce. This caused Adam Copeland to return, to help his former friend, and tell him to find himself. The aftermath was ace, but the Match was sub standard.

Timeless Toni Storm vs Mercedes Mone AEW Womens Championship.

This was a superb reminder, that theatre, can mesh with cinema. Both ladies entrances played to this tune perfectly. The theatre was Mercedes Mone paying tribute to Eddie Guererro with her entrance, and. the cinema. Timeless Toni Storm becoming the star of her own movie, and. Luther doing his best Danny Larusso impersonation. This was a physical masterclass performed through the looking glass of two absolute pros. The minor breaths of insensity, gave this Match the room that it needed to grow. Toni retained after a fantastic series of exchanges between both ladies, that avalanche Storm zero looked sickening, but cool.

Kazuchika Okada vs Kenny Omega Unified AEW Championship.

This is what happens when legend gives way to light. I loved this, from Kenny's entrance, to both men having a stair down. It was a battle of the master of lofi, meeting the master of selling. Yes it came with the tropes of the standard North American route for Pro Wrestling booking, but is this something that is on the level of their previous four matches, well if i'm being honest no, but is this something that should be taught in wrestling schools on a global level. Yes. The ark of age has caught up with both men since the last time they faced each other seven years ago, and the struggling aspects that has surrounded Kenny's health made this encounter endearing, as Okada's arrogance grew. This led to him getting the win after a stunning chain of sequences. This is another Match of the year contender.

Jon Moxley vs Hangman Adam Page Texas Death Match AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

Some people have said a lot about this Match, some thought it was too violent, some said it was too bloody, and to that I say this. It needed to be, this wasn't just a cathartic end to a poorly received storyline, this was the end to two years of storytelling, that has taken all fans for a ride, for good and bad reasons, as the cameos from the likes of Will Osperay. Swerve Strickland and, Prince Nana. The return of Darby Allin, and the suprise that was Bryan Danielson popping up, added drama to this brutal drama in savage fashion, as The Deathriders could only watch on, after they were taken out. I was hooked as the weapon spots became more intense, and the violence led to one of the most satisfying finales in recent Pro wrestling history. Hangman Adam Page is our new AEW World Heavyweight Champion, and it's glorious. The sight of Hangman undoing the briefcase, and retrieving his prize, is something that I won't forget in a hurry. As the fireworks went off into the night, you can only wonder what is around the corner for Tony's little promotion that can?

Overview of AEW All In Texas 2025.

This PPV was an over blown joy, that had it's issues, but overall This was a show that delivered, despite it's overlong time run.

AEW All In Texas 2025 is a high 9/10.

My top 5 AEW All In Moments.

Intro.

As the capatylst market for Pro Wrestling became swallowed up in the late 2010's by He Who Shall Not Be Named, their was burning hunger for something new, as the decade carried into it's late years. TNA wasn't in the best place, and the NWA was pretty much nonexistant, and the market leader WWE, was having it's own issues, from low ticket sales, and TV ratings, this when four visionary men took it upon themselves to shake up the system, and what came next would act as a high stake for how to do things with a DIY mentality. This was when the world became All Elite.

5. MJF vs Adam Cole.

AEW in 2023 was in a steady, and exciting place, when it came to how it was received here in the UK. Tony Khan. Adam Cole, and. Nigel Mcguiness all did a promo video announcing that AEW would be heading to Wembley Stadium, for it's first trip to the UK. My excitement levels went through the roof, from booking the ticket, all the way to the build. I get the build wasn't great, but as a whole it didn't waver my excitement, because when Tony Khan did this first attempt at the spinning plate trick, things didn't go well, but this did. The Match was a fantastic run through, of something that was red hot within the company. I had a blast watching this, and the image of Tony Khan standing with both men at the end to some might look like the death of Keyfabe, but to me it was a sobering reminder, that if you get the chance to celebrate your achievements in life, then go for it, because you only live once.

4. Watching Cm Punk Wrestle.

I have been a fan of this man for years, and had never seen him perform, that was until the first All In, when he ran back his famous rivalry with Samoa Joe. The Match was the best 3 star Match that Dave Meltzer has ever seen, now Something happened after this, but I can't think what. It think it might have been life threatening, and yes it did make me cry a river

3. Will Osperay.

It can be argued that over the past two events Will Osperay has stolen the show, his Match against Chris Jericho may not have lit the world on fire, but his encounter against MJF from last year was my Match of the year. The Day beforehand I almost met Will at the AEW fan meet and greet at the Wembley Boxpark, and just seeing how this man interacts with fans was something special. A great talent, and a great man, and he deserves all the success in the world.

2. Bryan Danielson Wins AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

This was something special, and I still can't believe that I was in attendence for to see this. If Danielson lost then he would have to retire, he beat Swerve Strickland in what some people called the best Match on the card, but for me it's the build that packed the emotional punch, as the song Good Riddance Time Of Your Life played into the night, the thought of what Tony Khan has created lingered in my mind.

1. RIP Bray.

On the 24th of August 2023, we lost Windham Lawrence Rotunda, better known as Bray Wyatt, after a short illness, this would send shockwaves throughout the industry, that were felt in his home of WWE, and in the competition. In ring tributes were paid from the likes of Britt Baker. Ftr, and The Young Bucks, who all wore Black armbands, and The House Of Black used lanterns to show their solidarity, but what got me was when I was entering into the stadium, Brays entrance music played out over the pa System. This had me in tears, and it should act as a reminder to tell the people in your life, that your glad to know them, and you appreciate their support.

AEW Dynamite Review 10.7.2025.

Mercedes Mone And Timeless Toni Storm Face To Face.

I loved this segment. Was it a civilised conversation, no, what this segment acted like was a laid bare back and forth with fantastic groundwork, as the overriding arch themes of not being ordinary played out to the masses. No notes this was perfect.

Jon Moxley Segment.

This was excellent. Hangman must prove himself this Saturday At All In. I liked all of this.

Bandido And Brody King vs Kyle Fletcher And Konosuke Takeshista.

As the way that go home Matches go, before major PPV's go this delivered, and it was great to watch. The Matches within the Match were a fascinating thing, as the high flying action became the main attraction. Konosuke got the win for his team. I liked this.

FTR And The Patriarchy Segment.

Four of my faves were in this segment, this makes this show an instant 5 stars in my opinion. Come fight me Dave. And one other thing, can I have more Stokeley on my TV please.

Ricochet vs Blake Christian.

Ricochet, beat. Blake Christian in a no notes, predictable TV Match. I didn't like this.

MJF And Mark Briscoe Have A Talky Talk.

This was another, no notes perfect segment to me, from the family insults. Mark calling Max Morally Bankrupt, to Max doing his best version of the Feeny dance from Boy Meets World. I could've done without Jetspeed, and. The Patriarchy attacking The Hurt Syndicate, but overall this was a perfect segment.

Megan Bayne vs Queen Aminata vs Thekla vs Tai Melo.

Megan Bayne, got the win, and has now taken the second spot in the womens Battle Royal this Saturday at All In. Did you see that running Powerbomb from Bayne to Aminata, man that looked sick.

Respect To Texas.

I share the thoughts from everyone at AEW. I just want to send out my respect, and prayers to the residents that have been effected by the floods in Texas, from here in the UK, love, and good feelings go out to you, and I hope you guys can attend a Pro Wrestling show when everything is back to a sense of normality.

Samoa Joe vs Wheeler Yuta

Samoa Joe, beat. Wheeler Yuta, in what was a fairly quick Match, with his clutch submission. And was then attacked by Gabe Kidd, now that's an interesting Match that I would like to see.

Allstar 8 Man Tag Match.

Jon Moxley. Claudio Castagnoli, and. The Young Bucks, beat. The Opps. Hangman Adam Page, and. Will Osperay in a fun Match, that was given plenty of time to breathe. The Matches within the Match were a cool breath of fresh air, as the interwoven storylines blended in with the physicality perfectly. Mox got the win, with a bulldog choke to Shibata, and then it all kicked off. Swerve Strickland showed up on the big screen, and became his own version of Stone Cold Steve Austin, and wrecked The Young Bucks Limosine with a crane, as the carnage in the ring unfolded, this was as bags were brought out. The physicality that came afterwards brought the show to an end, and has left me feeling excited for the PPV this Saturday.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

This was a fantastic Go home show before a major PPV, that only had one minor flaw. Am I ready for the PPV this Saturday. You bet I am.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 8/10.

My Top UFC Fighters Who Never Backed Down.

Intro.

The phrase never back down isn't just a name of a minor, and awful film franchise. It's a way of life for MMA fighters. If you're in the fight, then you'll always have a chance, and those words are a needed vice versa, especially in the hard world of MMA.

5. Randy Couture.

From being a two time champion, in two weight classes, two fighting the UFC over unfair payments. It could be argued that Captain America is a man of conviction, even if the big bosses don't agree with is morals. I have a lot of time for Randy Couture, because he's someone who won't back down if someone has wronged him, and that's the right thing to do in life.

4. Chuck Liddell.

Even though the man has faced some questionable accusations, that I can't condone. I do believe that anyone can change their lives. His relentless fighting style may be dated now, but this man at the time when the UFC was coming up, was the poster boy for hardwork, as the his attitude for I'll fight anyone, anytime, any place, became infectious.

3. Michael The Count Bisping.

From becoming the first ever british UFC Champion, to fighting his own legal battle outside the octagon, this man is has more deserved his place on this list.

2. Anthony Rumble Johnson.

This man in his life, whilst he was alive, was an inspiration, from overcoming a tough up bringing, to becoming a top contender in the Light Heavyweight Division, this just proves, that you can do anything in life, if you want it bad enough. RIP Rumble.

1. Connor Mcgregor.

How do you go from collecting welfare in Ireland, to smashing records, and Championships in the UFC? Well by showing a hardworking attitude, and fighting skills to boot. Connor has all of this, and even though he's faced some controversy for which I can't condone over the past few years. This man showed, that if you want something, then come and get it, because it's up to you to earn it.

WWE Monday Night Raw Review 8.7.2025.

Superstars Seen Showing To The Arena.

Sami Zayn. Jey Uso. Penta, and. The Judgement Day were all seen showing up to the arena. Also that drone shot was sublime.

Seth Rollins Segment.

I liked this. But it had its issues, Both Bron Breakker, and Bronson reads verbalage, felt repetitive, and very rinse and repeat, with differant opponents. Sami Zayn, and Jey Uso. Paul Heyman got things back on track by bringing up Roman Reigns, and Star Wars in the same breath, leaving Seth to do just one thing, welcome us to Monday Night Rollins. This didn't out stay it's welcome, and was quite sharp, but it was the mirror copying at the beginning that took me away from this opening segment.

RIP Liv Morgan.

Roxanne Perez put Liv Morgan to rest. As the rest of The Judgement Day, just felt like, OK I guess, however that cake looked nice, get well soon Dom, agh isn't AJ Styles a nice man. Kairi Sane beat Perez in a solid TV Match, and in the aftermath. Asuka helps Kairi Sane from beat down, and also Adam Pearce get down with your bad self, that image of you dad dancing will be burnt into my brain.

Sami Zayn vs Bron Breakker.

Sami was on his way down to the ring, and got murdered by Big Kazza Kross. Sami tried to show some hurt in his Match against Bron, but the attack is what defeated him, as Bron got the win.

Grief Is A Bad Thing.

The New Day are in morning for the demise of the Tag Team Ddivision, whilst the War Raiders just stood there trying not to corpse. Becky Lynch walked over, and by what it sounded like, I think she was trying to tease a Big E return of some sort?

Becky Lynch Segment.

This hole segment had me howling with laughter. From Becky putting herself over, calling out a fan, and acting like a general spoilt brat over having to defend her belt against two other women. Lyra Valkyria, and. Bayley. Both ladies then came out, and had threeway promo dual, and it was great. From insults to true facts. I had fun watching this.

Jey Uso vs Bronson Reed.

This Match was a waste of time, but it made sense. The Match was thrown out, when Bron launched a ring announcers chair at Jey. This is because you need to have your big monsters look big, Jey got wrecked in the aftermath.

Rhea Ripley And Iyo Sky Vingnette.

This is one of the Matches that i'm looking forward to watching this weekend, and this package was great.

El Grande Americano vs Dragon Lee.

El Grande Americano, beat. Dragon Lee in what was a decent TV Outing for Ludwig Kaiser. Michael Cole was class here, because me and him both know that Americano is actually Mr Tiffany Stratton.

Gunther Segment.

Even though i'm not a big fan of the idea of this Match, but if honest, this segment was ,no notes, perfect. Check this out when you get the chance.

Penta vs Seth Rollins.

I liked this. Both men had great back and forth chemistry, that was coupled with awesome physicality, that bled into both mens movesets. Seth got the win, and in the aftermath. Paul Heyman made the call for both Brons to come out, and attack Penta. But Seth was met by LA Knight, who attacked him as the show went off the air. The pair will meet up on Saturday Nights Main Event.

Overview of Monday Night Raw.

Overall I enjoyed this weeks Raw. This show has managed to convey the message that there's no such thing as a perfect Pro Wrestling show, and this show is the perfect example.

This weeks Monday Night Raw is a solid 7/10.

My Top 5 Reasons Why I Love Summerslam. 5. Timing. It's no secret that I love Summerslam. I feel that the timing behind this is perfect....
