Monday Night Raw Review

Intro

When the turn of the year came around, the talk within the media was about performer contracts, with both North American Companys, having talent expected to leave, or resign. I think this makes the industry very exciting. With fans playing guessing games, relating to who's going where, and when. Over the weekend it was reported by. Luke Owen of WrestleTalk, and. Sean Ross Sapp, of. Fightful Select, that Ricochet has handed in his notice, and will not be resigning when his contract renewal comes up. Personally I think this could be a real loss for WWE if this happens, but. Won't it be funny if he turns up at a certain Wembley Show, that i'm attending. Or is that just me fantasy booking. Ricochet vs Darby Allin sounds a bit tasty now doesn't it.

Superstars Show Up

Ilja Dragunov. Lyra Valkryia. Bron Breakker, and. Iyo Sky were seen showing to the arena.

Drew Mcintyre segment

I liked this. Drew came out, and asked the fans in attendence, who's ready for a new World Champion, he was met by Damien Priest, the two had a great promo dual, from excuses made by the Scot, to him being made to look stupid. Priest told him, that this is now personal, because he doesn't need The Judgement Day, to help retain his belt, Drew previously had brought this into question. The dual they had was great, and the further it went, the better it got. Drew will face Finn in the shows main event. All of this was solid. If Finn loses, then The Judgement Day, will be banned from Ringside at. Clash At The Castle. Liv Morgan then paid The Human Oven a visit, and my god she was laying it on thick. It's the mullet guys, women go mad for them. These Judgement Day segments would be a running theme throughout the show.

Iyo Sky vs Lyra Valkyria

Iyo Sky, beat. Lyra Valkyria in a fun match, thanks to her mates in Damage Ctrl. I liked all of this.

The Miz searching for R Truth segment

Ok. I'm going to marry these together, because this did take me back to my early teens, earlier in the evening. The Miz was hunting for R Truth, and when he found him later on, he said that he had been to see a fortune teller. Scarlett, and that she has booked them in a tag team match against. The AOP for their belts, silly R Truth, he thought she said the APA, and to think, yes there were cards, but no beer. Death is going to fall on someone tonight.

6 Man Tag Match

Rey Mysterio. Dragon Lee, and Braun Strowman, beat. The Human Oven. Jd Mcdonagh, and. Carlito in a fun match filled with shenanigans, that are going to piss Mami off. If you've already seen how mounting The Human Oven, then you know what i'm on about. Liv is dead women walking. I had fun watching this, and by the looks of it so did Liv. I said that death would fall on someone tonight. Liv start running now, because Mami won't be pleased.

Sami Zayn Segment

I loved this, from Sami's meeting with Tazawa, Maxxine, and Otis, and the looks on their faces said everything. He then had a great promo dual with Chad Gable. Sami kicked things off, by saying that the past few weeks, have been a bit messed up, but even though this hasn't been a standard rivalry, he said he would give everything to retain his championship, against Chad this Saturday. Chad came out with his academy, he accused Sami of trying to teardown what he has built. He called him pathetic, whilst Sami tried to reason with him, telling him that his crew are not happy. Chad turned on his narsicistic charm, whilst laying it on them as the controller. Sami tried to reason with the academy, telling them to leave Chad. Sami beat Otis in a flat match. The Aftermath of this was sold perfectly. With Otis selling the look of Confliction, after Sami was beaten down by Chad. Otis almost turned on Chad. I liked all of this.

Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark vs Fyre and Dawn

Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler, beat. Fyre and Dawn, in a flat tv match. Jade Cargill, and. Bianca Belair watched on from their office chairs at ringside.

Bron Breakker vs Ilja Dragunov

Bron Breakker, beat. Ilja Dragunov in a great tv match, both men threw everything at each other, delving into their arsenal of tricks, this acted as a good showcase for HHH, and his gift for following through on looking at each performers, abilities. This is why his vision for NXT is even more vital now, than ever. Breakker got the win, and attacked Ilja in the aftermath. Ricochet came out, and he was wrecked by Breakker. The fight would continue later on in the car park. Breakker slammed Ricochet onto the windscreen of a car. This. Was. A way to write Ricochet off of tv. I think he's Aew bound.

Awesome Truth vs AOP WWE Tag Team Championship Match

Awesome Truth, beat. AOP, in a boring tv match, thanks to The New Day, yeah. This wasn't great, was it.

Drew Mcintyre vs Finn Balor

This. Was. A slow lothargic match, the action felt very mid at best, and I couldn't get into it. This. Was. A shenigans led match, and if i'm honest. I'm bored of watching shenanigans led matches, on mainstream tv. Drew got the win with a claymore, oh well at least The Judgement Day are banned from ringside, for Damiens title defence in Drews home country this Saturday.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw

With the Netflix era coming on the horizon. I do feel that the content is starting to grow, into something a bit more comtempary, this will soon be the new norm, and i'm all for it.

This Weeks Monday Night Raw is a decent 7/10.

Smacklillision Review

Intro

As the week has gone on, Both major. North American wrestling companies, are starting to rally their troops. With massive PLE, and. PPV events coming up, and as a fan, the one thought that comes to my mind is? I love the summer. Wrestling has a special appeal at this time of year, now I know that's a hot take, but that's how I see things. This is going to be one hell of a summer, so strap yourself, and enjoy the ride.

Smackdown

The Bloodline Segment

The Show kicked off with The Bloodline coming, because it was time to annoint Tonga Loa. Paul Heyman, said that in the absense of our Tribal Chief. Solo Sikoa is the. Head Of The Table, and his right hand man is Tama Tonga. Solo welcomed his family into the fold, like a tv gangster, he then used the tool that his cousin taught him, imtimidation, he spoke to Paul in a patronising tone, when he made him say thank you to the Tonga Boys, for saving him last week, from Kevin Owens. Tama told us that this was brought in, by orders of the Peaky Blinders. I mean the Tribal Chief. Paul told Solo that Kevin is furious, because, he saw Kevin earlier in the day, this brought out KO, with The Street Profits, a fight broke out to end the segment. Solo was then later on heard giving Paul his marching orders. I liked all of this.

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair vs Candace Lerae and Indi Hartwell

With. Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark, and. The Unholy Alliance watching on at ringside. Jade Cargill, and. Bianca Belair, beat. Indi Hartwell and Candace Lerae, in a flat and boring tv match.

Nick Aldis and Cody Rhodes Segment

Nick Aldis was trying to calm down Cody Rhodes, who was seething in the car park, waiting for AJ Styles, but he couldn't get through to him, he then bumped into LA Knight, and. Carmelo Hayes, this pair had another verbal spairing session. Knight was told that. Logan Paul, wasn't in the arena tonight.

Johnny Gargano vs Grayson Waller

Johnny Gargano, beat. Grayson Waller in a solid tv match, we need to see more of Gargano having singles matches on tv, because he's pure gold.

Cody Rhodes Segment

This. Segment was awesome, and it didn't waste anytime in getting to the point. After Nick Aldis failed to get through to him. Cody Continued to haunt the car park, like a man posessed. Nick came into shot, flanked with security, that will soon end up on NXT. Nick Aldis told Cody that AJ is on his way, he then turned up. Cody walked through to the arena, in a great continuous shot, when he got to the ring he called out AJ, He then came out with Gallows and Anderson, the NXT Hopefuls then followed. AJ taunted Cody, acting like a person who's been stripped of any personality, he told Cody to give him what he wants. the WWE Undisputed Championship. Cody retaliated by telling him that in Glasgow next Saturday, he's going to make him say I Quit. Nick Aldis gave this the thumbs up.

LA Knight vs Carmelo Hayes

LA Knight, beat. Carmelo hayes in a solid tv match. I could watch these two for longer than this. Logan Paul, then gave the megastar a message. From LA, he's at a tetris tornament, and told him that he will never face him, or win his United States Championship. His impersonation of Knight was spot on. Yeeeeeeaaaaaah. Am I the only person that thinks that Tetris is for nerds, but. Patrick you're a nerd, oh yeah so I am.

Tiffany Stratton Nia Jax and Michin segment

Tiffany Stratton managed to piss off Queen Nia, who then had a fight with Michin. Now I like Queen Nia, and I like Michin, but which one is better, there's only one way to find out, fiiiiiggghhht. Next week should be interesting.

Bayley Segment

I'm not sure what to make of this. Bayley came out,  she said  some home truths, about Piper Niven, but before she could finish her first sentence, she was greated by. Chelsea Green, and. Piper Niven. Chelsea tried to act as Pipers mouth piece, because. Chelsea wants the belt for herself, that was when Piper, took the microphone, and started to talk about her history, she spoke with passion, and conviction, and with great believibility, but my question is this. Over the years I've watched Piper cut promos on her own, in various differant Indie promotions on youtube, and she has done a great job, so why did she need a mouthpiece? I just don't get it. Bayley's history is always something that I like to go back and look at, because I think it's a perfect mirror image, of how far the performer has come over the years. Their interaction was great. I just don't understand why WWE have chosen this moment, when she's been on their main roster for nearly three years at this point to let her talk on her own.

The Street Profits and Kevin Owens vs The Bloodline

Even though this match ended with a dq finish. I had a lot of fun watching it. From Montez ford going sky high, The Bloodlines presentation, to Solo going nuts with a chair, the segment ended with those dastardly bastards standing over KO, after they had just put him through the announcers table. I liked this.

Aew Collision

Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta vs Ftr

I loved this opening match, from. Claudio and Yuta doing the crab dance on their entrance, to. Both Dax and Claudio, showed each other some bold man love. Cash and Wheeler had a mini match, within the match. Dax, and. Claudio had a double submission stairdown, that turned into a slapfest. The physicality was on par here, the near falls were well timed, as the match found an easy groove. However, when Cash had the match won, the time limit ran out. Dax took to the mic, and asked for 5 more minutes, but then, out came Brandon Cutler who informed us of the match contract, which stated that the match was given twenty minutes, and not twenty five. Ftr then took care of him with a shatter machine, after. Claudio gave him a big swing. Claudio tells them. If they want to run it back, The Bcc members will happily take the fight. Wembley maybe?

Kyle O'reilly Segment

Kyle O'reilly had his backstage segment Interrupted by. Roderick Strong. This was uneventful.

Kris Statlander vs Robyn Renegade

This. Was over before it could begin, and it was a waste of time. Statlander got the win, and that no good Stokeley Hathaway announnced that Statlander, will be entering the Owen Cup Tournament via a love letter. Aagh.

Dustin Rhodes vs Johnny TV

When I saw the match graphic for this. I didn't think that I would enjoy it, but like most things in life, I was wrong, because I enjoyed this, Taya Valkyrye looked like she wanted to call Tony Khans hr department, after Dustin wouldn't leave her alone, she then had a smooch with Johnny, whilst her foot was sandwiched between Dustin, and the steel steps. The physicality here was decent, but nothing special. Dustin got the win, and then cut the promo of his life. I loved all of this promo, from calling out Jack perry, to honouring his late dad. This. Was. A viscerile shot to the system. Jack will face Dustin this wednesday on Dynamite. A certain son of a plumber is looking down on Dustin smiling. Gone, but never forgotten. RIP Dusty Rhodes, nine years has gone so fast.

Zac Sabre Jnr Segment

Zac Sabre Jnr called Orange Cassidy for a match at Forbidden Door, wait hang on, that doesn't sound right does it. Zac Sabre called out f****** Orange Bollocks, for a match at Forbidden Door. That's better.

The Premier athletes vs some Local Jobbers

I'm not trying to be rude, i've forgotten the names of who the Premier Athletes were facing, but that doesn't matter because they got the win, and made me feel guilty, because i'd just polished off a large pack of Maryland cookies. Samoa Joe, and. Hook later on decked the group. In a victory for crisps lovers everywhere. Next time I eat a more to share bag of Walkers Crinkle Cut Cheese and Onion, I will think of you lads. As you can I like crisps, and Smart Mark Sterling of course.

Scorpio Sky Segment

The only thing that I took away from segment, is that Scorpio Sky will be there for me, when the rain starts to poor, like he's been there before. I wonder what belt he's putting his sights on, please not the TNT Championship, because i've not recovered from this past escalades against Sammy Guervara, because no one wants that again. Am I the only person that thinks that Dan Lambert is like the candyman, because if you say his name three times, he just shows up. Now that's what I call a Nightmare.

Timeless Toni Storm vs Lady Frost

This. Was over before it could begin, the match was ok, but nothing special. Toni got the win, and then demanded that her adopted daughter Marieh May, be entered into the Owen Hart Cup Tournament. She acted like a proud parent on the side of a football pitch, on a Sunday Morning.

Dante Martin and Lee Moriarty Segment

Just an early prediction, this match is going to slap. Ok that's it time to pack up and go home.

Daniel Garcia vs Tate Mayfairs

Daniel Garcia, beat. Tate Mayfairs in a good showing from both men. Tate Mayfairs in Aew, good times.

Kyle O'reilly vs Orange Cassidy

From Cassidy doing the bum shuffle, and Kyle O'reilly showing that imitation is the best form of flattery. This. Was. A physical clinic, being served to the masses. The exchanges were laced in mat wrestling ethics, which made the proceedings fascinating to watch. Their may not have been a lot of story to this match, even with. The Kingdom sat at ringside, but with the talent involved in this match, it didn't matter, because this class. Trent Barretta, and the Damn It Don Callis Family came out, and attacked Cassidy, Kyle tried to make the save, but was also attacked. Kris Statlander shaked hands with Trent, joining the family. Willow Nightingale came out, to check on Cassidy, as the show went off the air.

Overview Of The Weekend

Both tv shows were great, with one show focusing on the art of storytelling, and the other one, keeping the in ring work at a solid pace. With both WWE, and. Aew having PLE, and. PPV's events coming up, on the back of this weekend, roll on. Clash At The Castle. Money In The Bank. Forbidden Door, and of course the mighty All In at Wembley, strap yourselves in, because this summer is going to eventful.

Both this weekends shows are a solid 8/10.

My Wrestling Fandom

The Early Years

The one question that I get asked all the time is, why do I watch wrestling? And most of the time I answer by saying, why do you watch Soap Operas, and in some cases, god awful, eye pain inducing. Reality TV. These were the replies that I would give to my Dad, and. Brother, way back in 1994, when I discovered WCW on ITV here in the UK, when it aired on a Saturday afternoon. I would get taunted for hours, because my brother thought that the A Team was a better show, and my dad would agree, but as for me, at the age of 7 years old, and my brother who was 11 at the time, how we preceived things was pretty simple, we looked at the things we liked with differant eyes, his hero was Mr T, and mine was an Icon. Sting. I loved his flamboyantcy, and his charisma, he had a nack for telling simple stories, at a time when the industry was in semi decent state. Vince Mcmahon had just won his battle against the U.S. WCW were one year away, from going head to head with the evil empire. And the mighty red and yellow tights were being worn again, to a positive start, that turned into a closing fad, as the industry changed. Even though we didn't have Sky TV, I'd like to think that I never missed out, because I had friends, who would lend me the videotapes of the previous weeks tv shows, and PPV's, as a kid, and even now as an adult. One of my all time favourite wrestlers is Bret The Hit Man Hart, his athletic ability, and wholesome nature, was just so endearing as a kid, and on the otherside, their was Hulk Hogan, even though nowadays I think that he's a reprohensible human being, but back then he was an idol to me, until one fateful Monday evening in 1996. I was at my friend Chris's house after school, and were watching The Great American Bash, and then it happened. Hogan turned heel, he betrayed his friends in WCW, by joining. Kevin Nash, and. Scott Hall forming the rebellious faction. The Nwo. Chris's mum couldn't stop the tears, and neither could my Mum and Dad, my brother taunted me mercifully about this, because some kid in his class stayed up to watch as the events unfolded, my Mum had to try and console a pissed off 9 year old, and all my Dad could say was. Get real Patrick, none of what you're watching is real, and as a 36 year old man, he's still saying this to me all these years later.

My Teen Years

As the years went on, my interests would evolve, my love for tv, and film, would become more prevelent, whilst heavy music played on a continuous rotation, bands like Linkin Park. Korn. Metallica, and. Slipknot, would always be playing at my house, to the point that it would piss off those around me. Wrestling was still a huge part of my life. The then WWF would go down in history, as the attitude era, would enlighten fans whilst causing controversy. WCW was starting to see a downward trajectory, that would last until the company eventually closed its doors on March 26th 2001. I found a love for the harder side of the business, when I discovered Terry Funk, to me Funk was a hardcore God, and to my mum, he was a sick, and unwell person, who would leather people with 2 by 4's of barbwire set on fire, his work in ECW is looked at as legendary, as his influence can still be felt today, he gave a company legitimacy at a time when it was needed, because the story of Mas Transit still lingered in the air, as the controversy refused to go away. The WWF would emmulate this style, showcasing more violent matches into their tv programming. By the time 1998 rolled around, this would become the normal state of affairs, as. Vince Mcmahon would battle with television networks, and the. FCC, over what wasn't acceptable on his shows. As a fan nowadays. I have mixed feelings about the attitude era, but I will never forget the memories. This was also a golden time for catchphrases, two of my favourite wrestlers all time are. The Rock, and. Stone Cold Steve Austin, and the phrases they coined, would go on to make the WWF millions, then, now, and forever. Their merch sales still put them in the ten top earners in the company, even till this day, and to say that as a 12 year old, that I loved it was an understatement.

Adult Me

Well as you can tell, not a lot has changed. I'm still a big Science Fiction and   comics fan, and my love for the wrestling industry has gone from, strength to strength, even if it has had to undergo some well needed changes, due to entitled men thinking it's ok to act like dirt bags. It hasn't killed my interest in what I love, because if you have a vision in life, then, no matter what happens you owe it to yourself to see it through, my big dream is to take this blog to Wrestlemania, akin to the likes of Whatculture. I want to be the guy who meets fans, at fan events, and hear your stories, because to me. That's what it's all about. We love anything fight related, It's in our dna, and you can't change that.

Aew Dynamite Review 6.6.2024

Update

No intro today guys, instead I have an update. Tommorow I will be starting work on my third specialist piece. I'm not sure what i'm going to call it, but's going to be about my fandom in wrestling. So keep your eyes pealed for that, coming soon to a blogsite near you.

MJF is back

The Broadcast kicked off, with its main highlight in my opinion. Daddy's back, and he was on fine form, he wasted no time putting the likes of. Kazuchika Okada. Will Osperay, and. Swerve Strickand on notice, by using his own versions of their catchphrases, to outright bodyshaming. Max spoke with passion, and praised The Elite, now that TK is gone, ( umm, no he isn't ) people should now stop rehashing his history. Rush came out, and the pair had a back and forth promo dual, which ended in a pull a part brawl, because my friends. MJF is back, and he's better than all of us combined, and we know it. I loved this segment. Welcome back Max, things are going to get interesting now that your home.

Orange Cassidy vs Kyle O'reilly vs Jay Lethal vs Rey Fenix

This. Was. A fantastic opening match, the energetic bursts shown by all 4 men, sold the match, and it was a pleassure to watch, that had great moments, like, double submission holds. Kyle O'reilly and Jay Lethal, taking me back to mid noughties ROH, and of course Rey Fenix getting the win by roll up. Trent Barretta came out with. Damn It Don Callis, and he and cassidy threatened to have a chair vs chain fight, that was stopped by Kris Statlander. Stokeley Hathaway came out, and said that Kris is going to take out the trash, whilst putting over his distain for the piece of fruit. Satlander slapped Cassidy, and. Willow Nightingale came out to make the save. Cassidy would thank her later, in a backstage segment with renee paquette. Willow wasn't happy.

The Learning Tree

Ok. I'm going to be honest. I don't know what to make of any of this. All of this ran as a episode thread, and I don't think it worked. It felt very WWE to me, the jokes weren't funny, and the insults felt flat. I have nothing else to say. Private Party run, run as fast as you can, for the love of everything that is midcard run.

TNT Championship Match Qualifier Mark Briscoe vs Brian Cage

Adam Pearce, oops sorry. I mean. Christopher Daniels announced that we were going to have, an on the fly Championship qualifier match, for the TNT Championship. Mark Briscoe, beat. Brian Cage in a solid tv match outing. Jack Perry told us what he thought, whilst. Damn it Don Callis, and. Konosuke Takeshista watched from the fans.

Hook and Samoa Joe Segment

Hook, and. Samoa Joe were being interviewed backstage by Renee Paquette, and. The Premier Athletes took issue with Hook's, and my favourite snack. Ok that's it Premier Athletes, what have you against crisps, just because I love a good bag of cheese and onion, doesn't mean i'm unfit alright. I hope these guys get wrecked, for crisp lovers all over the world.

The Acclaimed get cancelled ( well kind of )

The Young Bucks stopped Max's Castors rap, before it could even kick in, on the grounds of making fun of his new bosses, this went down like a led balloon. Yeah. The Acclaimed were'nt happy with this. The Bucks did their best impersonation of Oprah Winfrey, when it came to the patriarchy. Cage isn't getting a shot at the main prize anytime soon.

Daniel Garcia video

We then got a video showcasing the hardwork, and struggles of Daniel Garcia. This. Was. An excellent look into the life of a person, who has given everything, to achieve this dreams. I liked all of this.

The Bcc vs Team CMLL

I liked all of this, it acted like a perfect blend of styles meshing together. The Bcc got the win, this was my match of the night, by a clear country mile. Danielsons promo afterwards, was sensational.

Marieh May vs Saraya

I had a lot of fun watching this, the match was solid, and had decent physicality. Saraya got the win. And Toni Storm who was on commentary, and a nice chest interaction with. Mina Shiakawa. Ok Patrick get your mind back on your work.

Swerve Strickland vs Roderick Strong Aew World Heavyweight Championship

Even though parts of this match, did fall a bit short, it was enjoyable. Swerve, and. Roderick Strong have great chemistry, and it took a while for this match to shift into second gear, but when it did mesh, it meshed. Swerve retained, ande he and Nana partied with a Nana, man she looked so happy.

Overview Of Aew Dynamite

I had a great watching this weeks Dynamite. I saw the discourse online hasn't received this weeks episode very well, and I do understand the complaints. I just feel that you should, enjoy what you enjoy.

This weeks Aew Dynamite is solid 7/10.

Monday Night Raw Review 4.6.2024

Intro

Agh, yes bonny Scotland, the home of the deep fried Mars Bar, Iron Bru, and of course, the awful 1996 euro's national football team, but. Scotland can be proud of one thing, the next WWE PLE is coming from their shores. It's already looking poised to be Drews homecoming, as the rest of the card is set to show the world, that the undercard is just as important.

Liv Morgan Segment

I'm not sure what to make of this opening segment. Liv Morgan came out, and welcomed us to her revenge tour. She bragged about how she's injured Rhea, and potentially retired Becky Lynch, and there's her smooch with. The Human Oven. The oversized heat machine came out, to a chorus of boos. He put over the fact that, Liv means nothing to him, and that mami is going to kill her, this just increased Liv's flirting. Finn Balor told her to leave The Oven alone. Liv leaves, fantasing about. The Human Ovens long hairy mullet. I think Liv is a mullet chaser, she loves those mullets. I think they do something to her. The Judgement Day running the show, would become a show long theme, throughout the broadcast.

Sheamus vs Ludwig Kaiser

I liked this, from the Irish Warriors promo beforehand being based on respect, to the match, being performed at a solid pace. Ludwig took on the role of dominator in the early going, but it was Sheamus who got the win, after showing real fighting spirit.

Finn Balor vs Dragon Lee

Finn Balor, beat. Dragon Lee, in a solid tv match, thanks to a whole load of. Judgement Day. Braun Strowman, and. Lwo shenanigans.

R Truth Segment

R Truth, was backstage trying to give Carlito some advice about the Judgement Day. Oh R Truth, will you ever learn. The Miz is right, they were the worst days off your life.

Sami Zayn segment

I liked all of this. Sami Zayn wasted no time in calling out Chad Gable, but instead, he was met by. Maxxine Dupri. Otis, and. Tazawa, Maxxine read out a statement from Chad, the message was humiliating, and it was used to degrade, and be little his stable. Sami then said, that if Chad wants a shot at his belt, then he can have one at. Clash At The Castle. He then gave them some advice. Leave Chad Gable, Chad attacked Sami from behind. Otis, again sold the look of confliction, as their tormentor continued his assault on Sami. Otis got the rest of the Alpha Academy out of the ring. Chad would act like a narsacist backstage, praising his stable with nicities after this.

Ricochet vs Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker, then wrecked. Ricochet, yeah, there's not much to write home about here. I guess that'll teach Adam Pearce to not put him in the King Of The Ring Tournament.

Natalya vs Kiana James

Kiana James, beat. Natalya, in a decent showing, for her debut match on one of WWE's flagship shows.

Braun Strowman vs Carlito

Braun Strowman, beat. Carlito, in a flat tv match, thanks to even more. Lwo, and Judgement Day Shenanigans. But the most interesting moment, was when Liv Morgan, saved her mullet lover from getting wrecked, after Braun punched through a steel stair attempt. I cried laughing at this whole dibacle, whilst also feeling like. Man i'm so lonely. Patrick just stop eating Haribo then.

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair segment

We then got a visit over from the blue brand, when. Jade Cargill, and. Bianca Belair showed up, after being invited last week by. Shayna Baszler, and. Zoey Stark. Cargill and Belair, wasted no time, and called out the no1 contenders. Shayna, and. Zoey came out, and both teams had a pathetic promo dual. Shayna, and. Zoey, wanted a match right there and then for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Adam Pearce liked this idea, and made the match official. The match was thrown out when. Alba Fyre, and Isla Dawn got involved. I didn't like any of this.

Damien Priest and Drew Mcintyre face off

Drew Mcintyre, and. Damien Priest, then had a facing off backstage, whilst Priest, was being Interviewed backstage.

Jey Uso Segment

I loved all of this. Jey spoke from within the fans, he thanked them for sticking by him on his journey, and he declared himself for the Money In The Bank mens match. This was brilliant, the production here was spot on.

Lyra Valkyria Segment

Lyra Valkyria then declared herself for the Womens Money In The Bank match, and was then attacked by Iyo Sky, oh well at least she's not attacking Ikea lamps this week.

New Day vs Aop

Aop, beat. The New Day, and my god this made me scratch my head, yeah I didn't like this.

Rey Mysterio vs Damien Priest

I liked this. Rey Mysterio didn't show his age in this match, the flow was decent, and the physicality was great. Yes, there was plenty of shenanigans, but it blended in nicely. Priest got the win, with his South Of Heaven chokeslam.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw

I had a great time watch this weeks Raw at 6.30am, the show was a lot of fun, even though it had its down points.

This weeks Monday Night Raw, is a solid 7/10.

Aew Collision Review 3.6.2024

Tony Schiavone Interviews Ftr

The Show kicked with an in ring interview, when. Tony Schiavone spoke to Ftr. I loved this segment. Cash Wheeler thanked the fans, whilst feeling the embarrassment of losing the Anarchy In The Arena match, against. The Elite, but he's not dead yet, because. The Elite would have to kill them, in order to stop them. Dax Harwood then took the mic, and from the strength of self doubt, he's asked himself, is all of this worth it, and his answer was yes, because he would give his all for the cause that is Aew, and everyone who works for the company, all of this was great, and Jack perry's promo afterwards, was simply excellent, he loves the company, so why is he trying to bring it down?

Roderick Strong vs Lio Rush

I liked this. From Matt Taven looking cold, in the middle of June. Lio giving a great showcase for himself, and. Roderick getting the win, with his End Of Heartache finishing move. He then went on the hunt for Tony Khan, in the only he knows how. Toooooony. I want a title match against Swerve, so he could go to Forbidden Door, and beat Will Osperay. Tony loved this idea, so he booked the match for this wednesdays edition of Dynamite. Mjf 's returning segment, and now this. Wednesday is starting to look tasty.

Daniel Garcia and Katsuyori Shibata vs The Workhorsemen

I'm going to be honest I was bored watching, until the final 3 minutes, that saw. JD Drake perform an awesome looking moonsault, and. Shibata putting Anthony Henry in a submission hold for the win. You could say this was a mix bag.

Stokeley Hathaway and Kris Statlander segment

Kris Statlander, and. Stokeley Hathaway, had some words for Willow Nightingale, she belongs in a bin, because she's trash. I used to really like you Stokeley. I know longer want to see you on my tv screen. Boo hss boo. Statlander is going to wreck some fools.

Thunder Rosa vs Reina Dorada

Even though this was over way to soon, in order for it to be taken seriously. I think it's great to see two of Mexico's greats, put their styles on show. Thunder Rosa got the win, and called out Deonna Purrazzo. I love watching Thunder Rosa work. And I think her ceiling is slowly starting to get higher again.

Cage Of Agony vs Danny Rose. Ricky Gee, and KM

Cage Of Agony, beat these jobbers in a predictable match, also in the words of Mr T. I pity the fools who mess with the Cage Of Agony sucker.

Toni Storm and Marieh May segment from Rampage

Ok. I have to admit it. the chin, tits and shoe line, did make me laugh, but making fun of Saraya's past, that includes accounts of domestic violence, should not be said for a cheap pop, because sensitive issues like this are no laughing matter.

Claudio Castagnoli vs Johny TV

Claudio Castagnoli, beat. Johny TV in a solid fun match. I'm getting sensational Sherri vibes from Taya Valkarye.

Premier Athletes Vingnette

The Premier Athletes, are putting me to shame. There in the gym working out, and i'm on my second bag of more to share Haribo. Man I feel Guilty.

Lee Moriarty and Shane Taylor vs West Coast Wrecking Crew

Lee Moriarty, and. Shane Taylor, beat. The West Coast Wrecking Crew, in a standard tv match, but it was funny watching Antony Agogo, have a stairing contest with a child.

The Iron Savages

Killswitch, then murdered the Iron Savages. God Bless you Killswitch, for getting these annoying idiots off of my tv screen.

Will Osperay vs Kyle O'reilly Aew International Championship

This. Was. One of the best tv matches of the year. In a market that keeps shifting the goal posts. Both men gave everything they had. From the slow start, that allowed the match to have time to breathe, so it could turn into a barnburner. This is the best that Kyle O'reilly has looked since joining Aew. Both men counteracting each others moveset was a joy to see, this allowed the final exchanges to remind me of 2016 ROH, in all the best ways possible. Will hit Kyle with the storm driver for the win. Swerve Strickland gave a pre recorded video message taking shots at both Will, and. The master of neck strong, to take the show off the air.

Aew Collision Overview

This. Was. A. Solid broadcast, and a great Sunday night treat. The in ring action went from, decent, to execllent, to brilliant, and as the summer heats up, these broadcasts are going to be very important.

Aew Collision is a solid 9/10.

Smackdown Review

Intro

With. WWE. Clash At The Castle, and. Aew. Forbidden Door, both falling within weeks of one another. This June is already shaping up to be a great month. And with. Money In The Bank, and . Aew All In at Wembley Stadium, ( a show in which I will be attending ) I think it's safe to say, that sometimes it's good to be a wrestling.

Queen Nia's Corination

All hail. All hail. Queen Nia, a you suck chant broke out. Nia lapped up the boos from the fans, and wasted no time in calling out the Womens Champion Bayley. The Role Model came out, but was swiftly decked from behind by. Piper Niven, and. Chelsea Green. Piper stood face to face with Jax, as her friend, the walking karen Chelsea Green, said that Piper would be champion before her. Jax laughed and told them, that she doesn't care who's champion, because she's going to eNialate whoever holds it. This pissed off Naomi in a backstage segment later on. Prompting Nick Aldis to them in a tag match, against Niven, and. Green, later on. I liked this.

Nick Aldis and AJ Styles Segment

Nick Aldis, had a meeting with AJ Styles. LA Knight wanted to know what it was about. He then said that he wants to be the next in line to face, the walking sale sign Logan Paul. Carmelo Hayes then stepped into shot, to continue his taunting party of Knight. I have to say. I like these two having little verbal words with each other, yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaah.

Tomasso Ciampa vs Austin Theory

Tomasso Ciampa, beat. Austin Theory. In a story driven tv match. I love DIY, but this match didn't work for me. Theory, and. Waller, aren't long for this world as a team are they.

Apollo Crews vs Andrade

Apollo Crews, got fed to Andrade in a flat and boring tv match. I like Apollo Crews, and to see him get used like this, is just shameful in my opinion. The match was story driven to the point of no return, thanks to Angel being a devious little bastard. Apollo saw right through this, and went for him later on, whilst. Santos loved what he saw. ( i'm being sarcastic )

The Bloodline segments

There's a lot to unpack here so i'm going to marry it together. If I could describe The Bloodline in terms of music, that would be easy. Solo is being played by Dwayne like a puppet, so. Master Of Puppets by Metallica is appropriate, and with all the lies he's telling, and how he's becoming empowered from violence, both. Victimised, and. Lies Greed Misery, by. Linkin Park, would be good choices. This segment focused on Pauls worry from within the faction, and he thinks that Solo, has no direction, or stratergy, after hiring his own extended family, as mercinaries, as random acts of violence have become their new normal for the faction, getting off on the misery of others. This is very much like my favourite film. A Clockwork Orange, and. Solo is slowly becoming Alex Delarge, leading around his family, like a pack of droogs. Paul reminded Solo, that. Cody has to be weakened. Solo told him we are handling it. Paul asked who's we? Solo ordered the wiseman, to out and talk to Kevin Owens, who's music had started playing. Kevin came out, he told the fans that after last week. Randy Orton is at home recouperating, after his King Of The Ring Final match against Gunther. Paul Heyman came out, and spoke with worry, he agreed with the fans, because he also wants Roman back, because he can see the decay in front of eyes, he wants to talk to kevin, one on one, out of fear for the former Prizefighter. Paul put over, just how scary The Bloodline has become. KO fired back with passion, as Pauls concern fell on death ears, from a human aspect Heyman showed compassion, whilst the worry came through his voice, that made him sound like a child. KO stunned him, just to shut him up. Solo came out, with his gang, and the look on Pauls face said everything. KO stood alone, that was until The Street Profits showed up, to even the numbers. The Tag Match followed, and it was a lofi banger, that worked well in a tv setting. Ford, and. Dawkins, have great chemistry with the Tonga Boys, this was a well received piece of work. The Tonga boys have been portrayed perfectly, their menacing statues have been focused on, to within an inch of their life. Tama, and. Tonga got the win. More of this please.

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair segment

Jade Cargill, and. Bianca Belair stood their ground, against. Indi Hartwell. Yeah, do one Indi.

Bayley and Naomi vs Chelsea Green and Piper Niven

Chelsea Green, and. Piper Niven beat. Bayley, and. Naomi in a well worked tv match. I want this feud to end quickly.

Aj Styles Fake Retirement segment

This. Was. A great segment. Mark Henry came out, and announced his retirement from the business. Corey Graves talked from the heart, about his experiences with Mark, and he had nothing but praise for him. Gallows, and. Anderson stood in his corner, to take their flowers. From fake tears, to him putting over the importance of family, he called out John Cena, he thanked John, but when the two celebrated together. Mark attacked John, putting an end to this faused excellent dream segment. Replace the name Mark Henry, and replace it with AJ Styles, and John Cena, with Cody Rhodes, and then you get what i'm aiming this at. The boy from Georgia has done good.

Overview Of Friday Night Smackdown

Going forward, the weekend reviews will be seperate, just so I can focus on the views, so with that said. I liked this edition of weekly tv. The Matches went from good to solid, and the promos stole the show.

This weeks Friday Night Smackdown is a decent 8/10.
