Smackdown Review
Intro
With. WWE. Clash At The Castle, and. Aew. Forbidden Door, both falling within weeks of one another. This June is already shaping up to be a great month. And with. Money In The Bank, and . Aew All In at Wembley Stadium, ( a show in which I will be attending ) I think it's safe to say, that sometimes it's good to be a wrestling.
Queen Nia's Corination
All hail. All hail. Queen Nia, a you suck chant broke out. Nia lapped up the boos from the fans, and wasted no time in calling out the Womens Champion Bayley. The Role Model came out, but was swiftly decked from behind by. Piper Niven, and. Chelsea Green. Piper stood face to face with Jax, as her friend, the walking karen Chelsea Green, said that Piper would be champion before her. Jax laughed and told them, that she doesn't care who's champion, because she's going to eNialate whoever holds it. This pissed off Naomi in a backstage segment later on. Prompting Nick Aldis to them in a tag match, against Niven, and. Green, later on. I liked this.
Nick Aldis and AJ Styles Segment
Nick Aldis, had a meeting with AJ Styles. LA Knight wanted to know what it was about. He then said that he wants to be the next in line to face, the walking sale sign Logan Paul. Carmelo Hayes then stepped into shot, to continue his taunting party of Knight. I have to say. I like these two having little verbal words with each other, yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaah.
Tomasso Ciampa vs Austin Theory
Tomasso Ciampa, beat. Austin Theory. In a story driven tv match. I love DIY, but this match didn't work for me. Theory, and. Waller, aren't long for this world as a team are they.
Apollo Crews vs Andrade
Apollo Crews, got fed to Andrade in a flat and boring tv match. I like Apollo Crews, and to see him get used like this, is just shameful in my opinion. The match was story driven to the point of no return, thanks to Angel being a devious little bastard. Apollo saw right through this, and went for him later on, whilst. Santos loved what he saw. ( i'm being sarcastic )
The Bloodline segments
There's a lot to unpack here so i'm going to marry it together. If I could describe The Bloodline in terms of music, that would be easy. Solo is being played by Dwayne like a puppet, so. Master Of Puppets by Metallica is appropriate, and with all the lies he's telling, and how he's becoming empowered from violence, both. Victimised, and. Lies Greed Misery, by. Linkin Park, would be good choices. This segment focused on Pauls worry from within the faction, and he thinks that Solo, has no direction, or stratergy, after hiring his own extended family, as mercinaries, as random acts of violence have become their new normal for the faction, getting off on the misery of others. This is very much like my favourite film. A Clockwork Orange, and. Solo is slowly becoming Alex Delarge, leading around his family, like a pack of droogs. Paul reminded Solo, that. Cody has to be weakened. Solo told him we are handling it. Paul asked who's we? Solo ordered the wiseman, to out and talk to Kevin Owens, who's music had started playing. Kevin came out, he told the fans that after last week. Randy Orton is at home recouperating, after his King Of The Ring Final match against Gunther. Paul Heyman came out, and spoke with worry, he agreed with the fans, because he also wants Roman back, because he can see the decay in front of eyes, he wants to talk to kevin, one on one, out of fear for the former Prizefighter. Paul put over, just how scary The Bloodline has become. KO fired back with passion, as Pauls concern fell on death ears, from a human aspect Heyman showed compassion, whilst the worry came through his voice, that made him sound like a child. KO stunned him, just to shut him up. Solo came out, with his gang, and the look on Pauls face said everything. KO stood alone, that was until The Street Profits showed up, to even the numbers. The Tag Match followed, and it was a lofi banger, that worked well in a tv setting. Ford, and. Dawkins, have great chemistry with the Tonga Boys, this was a well received piece of work. The Tonga boys have been portrayed perfectly, their menacing statues have been focused on, to within an inch of their life. Tama, and. Tonga got the win. More of this please.
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair segment
Jade Cargill, and. Bianca Belair stood their ground, against. Indi Hartwell. Yeah, do one Indi.
Bayley and Naomi vs Chelsea Green and Piper Niven
Chelsea Green, and. Piper Niven beat. Bayley, and. Naomi in a well worked tv match. I want this feud to end quickly.
Aj Styles Fake Retirement segment
This. Was. A great segment. Mark Henry came out, and announced his retirement from the business. Corey Graves talked from the heart, about his experiences with Mark, and he had nothing but praise for him. Gallows, and. Anderson stood in his corner, to take their flowers. From fake tears, to him putting over the importance of family, he called out John Cena, he thanked John, but when the two celebrated together. Mark attacked John, putting an end to this faused excellent dream segment. Replace the name Mark Henry, and replace it with AJ Styles, and John Cena, with Cody Rhodes, and then you get what i'm aiming this at. The boy from Georgia has done good.
Overview Of Friday Night Smackdown
Going forward, the weekend reviews will be seperate, just so I can focus on the views, so with that said. I liked this edition of weekly tv. The Matches went from good to solid, and the promos stole the show.
This weeks Friday Night Smackdown is a decent 8/10.
