My Top 5 Takeaways From Monday Night Raw.

    Intro.

I have to say. I'm enjoying WWE on Netflix. It's easy to use, and I can find things easily, in comparison to the old school network, and as for the weekly TV out put, well lets get into it.

5 Drew Mcintyre vs Seth Rollins Fell Flat.

I was disapointed with this Match, Now don't get me wrong. I was feeling unwell when watching this, so this might play a part in my analysis, but overall I thought this was a bit of a letdown.

4 Gunther vs Jey Uso Is Going To Be Special.

I have no other words, other than this segment was great, and I get the feeling that Jey is going to be swung around like a wet towel come Saturday.

3 Sami Zayn And Kevin Tore Apart Their Promo Segment.

Their back and forth, was superb, and as Kevins Bret Hart get up, well, as an old school Bret Hart stan, my heart skipped a beat. I loved this. Mania feud me thinks.

2 Penta Has Catherine Wheel.

Look everyone Penta has a Catherine Wheel. Am I the only person who thinks that WWE have completely Malibu Stacey'd Penta, he's still the old Penta that you love, but he has a new hat, in the shape of a Catherine wheel that is.

1 I love Cm Punk.

Like the title says. I love Cm Punk for these reasons. He completely buried an awful human being, and his beer, that no one cares about.

     AEW Dynamite Review 23.1.2024.

     Intro.

This week has been one of split ups, and misinformation, going around running wild, with a hint of a good old fashioned burial. As Grandslam Australia looms around the corner. I do think it's important for AEW, to deck all their cards in a row, and when they get knocked down, see which one stands, and use the ones that remain up, it's a card game version, of the spinning plate trick, that Tony Khan has used, when it came to booking last years All In London. I think this is a perfect way to elevate talent, and the booking, won't suffer as a result.

Will Osperay And Kenny Omega Face To Face Segment.

This. Was. A white hot opening. From both men having a great promo dual, that delved into their history, and the added mix of Damn It Don Callis, and his gaggle of heels was great, and for made for awesome TV. Don got chased off the stage, and then it happened, an all out brawl. This. Was excellent. Lance Archer, and Brian Cage, tried to Murder both Will and Kenny. As the fight broke out across the arena. Kyle Fletcher, and. Konosuke Takeshista, had fun beating Will, and. Kenny. Merch got ruined. Lance Archer got put through a table, by. Kenny, and. Will, and then their was that awesome spot, when Both Kenny, and. Will performed Moonsaults from off of some truss's, and my god it was great. Kenny then took to the mic, and challenged. Kyle Fletcher, and. Konosuke Takeshista, to a Tag Match, at. Grandslam Australia. I loved all of this. Now this is how you bid the fans adue with a BANG. Kenny By God Omega is back folks, and it's glorious.

           Jon Moxley Segment.

Did Jon Moxley, just threaten murder Adam Copeland on live TV? Well they've been doing this for months now, so it wouldn't suprise me.

The Hurt Syndicat vs Private Party AEW World Tag Team Championships.

Ok, I'm not happy that my guys Private Party have been done dirty, when it comes to their booking, but if your going out, then you need to go out swinging, and they did. I Liked this Match. It wasn't perfect, but it did what It needed to do. Get the belts off of my guys. Yes, it's great to see The Hurt Syndicate belted up, but in my opinion, it's covering a gaping hole. AEW's Tag Team Division needs a massive reset, due to the atrocious booking, and, creative that Private Party were given.

Toni Storm And Harley Cameron Segment.

Toni Storm, and. Harley Cameron, this was hilarious. I loved this. I only have one word. Strooth mate.

    Jeff Jarrett Segment.

I have mixed feelings about this segment. Jeff Jarrett is a great stand alone act, and this shone through here. His drive, and, passion was on full display, and that's great. I just felt that some of his words fell a bit flat. His references to an awful human being, was a disgusting reminder, that this industry is full of hypocrisy. But I do feel these converstaions need to be had. He then called out Jon Moxley, and then business picked up. Moxley didn't come out, instead we got Claudio Castagnoli, who dropped Jeff with quick effect, and told him, if you want to get to Jon, then you have to get through him first. Jeff then challenged him to a match next week, and if he wins, then he gets his shot at Moxley.

Swerve Strickland vs AR Fox.

Swerve Strickland, beat. AR Fox, in an ok TV Match, that was riddled with heelish antics from Wrestlings answer to Jeffrey Dalmer. Ricochet. Prince Nana, held him off with a Led pipe, and then got bullied later on. This pissed off Swerve, who then cut a scaving promo on him later on.

A New York Minute.

This Learning Tree Segment was terrible, but the promise of Big Bill vs Powerhouse Hobbs sounds good. How much money is Tony Khan paying the Olsen Twins?

MJF Segment. ( And So Much More )

I liked this. Mjf came out, and went into the business of slamming Jeff Jarrett. He wanted an apology from Jeff, for not wanting his help, he stated that manipulation is the key, and his work hard and get more TV time, because he thinks the fans love him, would work, when they actually don't, and that he should've done a deal with the devil, instead of defying him. Max told a jobber to get out his ring, before he could get going, this took time away from Hangman Adam Page, who came off, and faced off with Max. Christopher Daniels then came to let Hangman Know, that he retired him, after their Match last Saturday. Hangman sold the look of anquish, and upet well after he smashed his jobber, and was then told this news. Hangman vs Adam Page vs MJF, at a leter date. spinning plate effect people.

Mercedes Mone And Harley Cameron.

If Mastercard made wrestling segments. Harley Cameron, and. Mercedes Mone, is just  priceless. I laughed my ass off watching this.

Jamie Hayter vs Julia Hart.

I liked this. The Match had a decent flow, and, the physicality was great. Hayter got the win, and then cut a promo on Hart, that alluded to a potential 3rd Match. All of this was promising. A video then aired of the new Hounds Of Black, this to me confirms that Malakai Black, is either leaving, or has left AEW. Which is a shame in my opinion.

Adam Copeland vs Pac.

This. Match did what it was supposed to do, however it wasn't without its complaints, which are the same ones that always go around the internet. Tony Khan's graphic has given away the result, and it's two WWE guys headlining weekly TV. I don't think that this the case. Copeland said that when he joined AEW, he wanted to work with Talent, some of which had been under utilised, this is the perfect case when it comes to Pac, he's never been the guy, and some would say that he still isn't. To me this is a veteran, who wanted to help, a talent who needs to be looked at with a differant light. The Match was fine, and Adam got the win. In the aftermath Moxley was seen murdering The Midnight Express, with a steal chair concerto, a move that he Adam made famous, whilst FTR were tied up, this allowed Mox, and co, to act like a gang of Hyenas, and attack him. As Mox, and mates, ate well. Jay White returned to save Adam from a beat down, that allowed the show to fade to black.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

Minor flaws to one side. I liked this weeks Dynamite. I had watching it, as I ate muffins for my breakfast. Fun times were had by me.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a solid 9/10.

Top 5 Crowning Achievements In Wrestling.

Intro.

As a fan of this industry, for over thirty plus years. I've seen multiple achievements come to groundbreaking fruititon. From a Showstopper achieving his childhood dream, to a worded chant, giving fans a voice, when they felt voiceless.

5 Cm Punk.

Cast your mind back to 2011, and. WWE's scope, and look, on how they were perceived by large parts of their own fanbase. It was bleak, however. It wasn't all bad, because out from mess of bad creative, stood a man, that captivated an entire fanbase, and me crave an ice cream bar. Cm Punk, his long title reign, that dominated the summer of 2011, to his always endearing, straight to the point cult of personality, made for great viewing. PipeBomb, he's a crowning achievement in himself, when you dig beneath the surface.

4 The Rise Of Alternative Company's

What do. AEW, and. TNA, have in common, they both tried to show their hand in competing against the mighty WWE. Don't get me wrong. I think having these company's around in 2025, does make the industry healthier. I think their back story's make for an interesting tail, from Jeff Jarrett burning his bridges with WWE, to a brash group of NJPW's finest, wanting to shake up the industry. Both company's had turns on taking on the then evil empire, with constrasting results. So everyone, what do you all want to talk about.

3 HBK Mania 11.

As an awful persons voice, could be heard at the end of the main event of Wrestlemania 11, the world echoed out a cry, that I felt with all fans, across the globe. A boy hood dream had come true, as the tears ran down HBK's face. Shawns personal at the time, was in a differant place, due to his ever growing problem with addiction at the time, as the years rolled on, Shawn turned his life around, after a back injury sidelined him, for over four years. He came back at Survivor Series 2002, and won the WWE's main prize, this is something that turned my life around, when it was at it's lowest.

 2 Daniel Bryan Wrestlemania 30.

Confetti. Connor Malik, and the words yes yes yes, if I could put all of these things into one word. Priceless.

1 The End Of A story.

Cody Rhodes, finally finishing his story, wasn't just a moment in time, it was a changing of the guard. Sports Entertainment was out, and Pro Wrestling was in, as the echoes of a disgraceful human being, was slowly being eradicated. On this night Adrenilin was in all of our souls. This Night was a perfect booking masterclass.

Top 5 Wrestlers Showed That They Didn't Care.

          Intro.

Wrestlers not caring, is something that isn't new, regardless of the promotion that they work for. I just think it makes for unsettling viewing, but sometimes these moments can make history, and change the face of how look at a certain performer. These are five times wrestlers couldn't hide their frustration, with the promotions that tried to bury them.

            5 Kevin Owens

In late 2021, reports came out that Kevin Owens wasn't happy, as his contract with WWE was coming up for renewal. Looking back on these times. WWE's creative wasn't very good, infact, as an old school fan, it was awful, and you could clearly tell that Owens wasn't happy. It was hard to for me, because, about a year before all of this came about, I was in the same type of situation. Things did improve, as time went on.

4 Bret Hart His Entire WCW Run.

None of this went well at all. I could pick several moments in which His Excellentcy was annoyed, because there was so many moments.

        3 Hulk Hogan.

The back end of Hogans WCW Run, screamed of I just don't care, The creative was bad, and the all round feeling, surrounding the promotion, was languishing. Bash At The Beach could have been avoided in my opinion.

    2 Britt Baker.

This one, kind of upsets me. because she's one of my favourite womens wrestlers to watch, but the last few months of her run in AEW didn't go well, as reports of her having attitude problems, came to light. Now don't get me wrong. I know she's had things going on, outside of the ring, so that may have had a hand to play, but it didn't hide her lack of uninterest in what she was doing. Case and point. In October last year, she had a Match on Dynamite, against another one of my personal faves. Sarena Deeb, and, well, yeah her face said everything.

     1 Cm Punk.

This pains me to put this man on the list, but he's had moments when he didn't care. His backstage diva antics, when he was with AEW, to the infamous title unification segment from Monday Night Raw in December 2013. Were do I begin.

      AEW Collision Maximum Carnage Review.

           Intro.

This is going to be my intro for this week. God bless you Christopher Daniels. I met this man last year at All In, and he couldn't have been nicer, I've been an admirer of his work for many years, and it was great to see him get his flowers, even though it was for the last time. God speed my Fallen Angel.

           Opening.

Rated FTR. Kazuchika Okada. Christopher Daniels, and. Hangman Adam Page, give there thoughts on their opponents, before the show began.

Texas Deathmatch Hangman Adam Page vs Christopher Daniels.

I loved this Match. It was a bloodsoaked masterpiece in TV booking, both men had fun with bardwire, complete with sickening table spots. Daniels put up a great fight, as the blood dripped down his face, his energy drained from his body, until the final moment when he couldn't get back up from a deadeye. He missed the 10 count, because exhaustion took over his body. Hangman saw someone who could be looked at as a mentor, out to pastures new, and it was an emotional watch. God bless you Fallen Angel.

Toni Storm Interview With Tony Schiavone.

All throughout this. Toni Schiavone must've felt like he had gone backwards. Toni Storm sold her amnesia perfectly, and the look on Tony Schiavone's face said, well, ok then. Storm gave her thoughts on Marieh May, and the pair will meet next week on Collision. I have to say I liked this. It made me laugh, after a long day in my day job.

The Hurt Syndicate Segment.

The Hurt Syndicate want Gold. I don't blame them, but it also says a lot about the state of AEW's Tag Team Division at this moment.

Undisputed Kingdom vs The Infantry and Lee Moriarty.

This Match had me thinking. Be still my Black'n Gold loving heart. The Undisputed Kingdom, beat The Infantry, and. Lee Moriarty, in a solid TV Match.

Will Osperay Segment.

Will Osperay will meet Kenny Omega, on this coming weeks Dynamite, and all I have to say is hurry up Wednesday.

Lance Archer And Brian Cage vs Top Flight.

I didn't like this. Top Flight are better than being used as predictable fodder. Archer, and. Cage got the win.

The Acclaimed Are Done

I'm not sure what to make of this. The Acclaimed are no more. This was a decent segment, that took me back to the days of watching WWF Sunday Night Heat. Max called out Anthony Bowens, and both men had a good seperation promo dual, that left Daddyass, to try and sort out the pair, however this backfired, because. Castor told Bowens to pick a side, and he chose Billy Gunn, this pissed Max off, who was made to do the walk of shame, as he solked back up the ramp, like a sibling who has been left out, at a birthday party. This was, what it was.

Swerve Strickland Segment.

Am I the only person, who thinks that, he's going to kill that Jeffrey Dalmer wannabe Ricochet?

Tomohiro Ishii vs Kazuchika Okada Continental Championship.

This on paper looked like a banger, but what we got was an intricate TV Match, that played into both mens hands, Big Tom got injured at the halfway point, and helped carry the Match to what was a solid TV encounter, Okada retained with his rainmaker finisher.

Dustin Rhodes vs Adam Priest.

Dustin Rhodes, beat. Adam Priest in a fairly standard TV Match, that did nothing for me.

Julia Hart vs Harley Cameron.

Julia Hart, beat. Harley Cameron in a flat TV Match, like the before, this did nothing for me.

Rated FTR And The Outrunners vs The Learning Tree And The Deathriders.

I'm in two headspaces, when it comes to this Main Event. One part of me liked this, and the other part of me, thought it was just something that passed me by. The Matches within the Match, were great, the spots were well placed, and the in thread storyline of Hobbs getting taken out by Chris Jericho's crew, beforehand, made for a chaotic story, and him getting the win for his team, when he came out, and getting the win, by giving Bryan Keith a spinebuster. Was a clever move, Oh well at least that kid who was sat at ringside, who gave him a piece of his mind, was funny.

Overview Of AEW Collision Maximum Carnage.

I thought this broadcast, was a varied mix-bag, that only half of the show sat well with me, their was bits I liked, and their bits, that made me want to bang my head against a wall.

AEW Collision Maximum Carnage is a low 7/10.

      Smackdown Review

    Intro.

I love wrestling in January time. The Royal Rumble is just around the corner, and the fan in me gets very excited, and this year is no exception, the list of stars, who are entering the Rumble, is starting to look pretty stacked, if you ask me.

Commentator Walk Through, And Superstars Seen Showing Up.

I liked this. Joe Tessatore, and. Wade Barrett, were given the walk through treatment, as they showed the superstars showing up. Tiffany Stratton. Bayley. Jimmy Uso, and. Carmelo Hayes, all showed up.

       Rey Mysterio Segment.

Rey Mysterio in his home town, announcing he's in the Royal Rumble, what could be better, well, what about a promo dual with Kevin Owens, well if you ask, you shall receive. I liked all of this, both men get in there licks. KO paid respect to Rey, as both men went through all of there achievements. KO asked Rey, when he wins the Rumble, he would love to face him for his stolen belt. Rey told Kevin that he's delusional, just like his son The Human Oven. This pissed off KO, who then started a fight with Rey to end the segment. I liked this. Nick Aldis, told Rey later on, that he will face KO later on. Both Cody, and. KO both refused to sign their Match contract for their Ladder Match at the Royal Rumble, so at Saturday Nights Main Event, their will be a contract signing, and Sanantonios very own Shawn Michaels, will host the segment.

Nia Jax And Candace Lerae vs Naomi And Bianca Belair.

Naomi, and. Bianca Belair beat. Nia Jax, and. Candace Lerae, in a standard TV Match.

Bayley Meets Byron Saxton.

Bayley, had a one on one walk through arena interview with Byron Saxton. I liked all of this.

BFab. Michin. Piper Niven, and. Chelsea Green Segment.

I hated this segment, and what it brought in later on, was pathetic. Piper Niven beat Bfab in woeful Match.

Jimmy Uso vs Carmelo.

The Match was going fine, that was until. The Temu Bloodline came, out and got the Match thrown out. What came next was an impromptu promo segment. Jakub Fatu tried to rally the fans, to get behind his leader, but after a chorus of fan backlash. Solo was seen to be walking out. LA Knight then came out, and had a fight with Tama, and. Braun Strowman had a face off against Jakub Fatu, they will face each other next week, at Saturday Nights Main Event. I wasn't a fan of this. It all felt a bit to convoluted to me.

Motorcity Machine Gunns vs Los Garza

Motorcity Machine Gunns, beat. Los Garza, in a solid TV Match, that was riddled with Interfereence from Pretty Deadly. Apollo Crews tried to give both of my Country's finest gentlemen, some advice, after DIY went back on their word, and got decked by Johnny Gargano for his troubles.

Rey Mysterio vs Kevin Owens

This was a fluent masterstroke in solid TV booking. Ko got the win. in a Match that was riddled with Family insults, and the  mocking of old friends. Cody saved Rey from taking a Piledriver. The Match had superb physicality, that was matched by some sensational exchanges. I liked this.

Bayley vs Tiffany Stratton WWE Womens Championship.

I liked this. Both ladies worked hard to bring out the best in one another. The exchanges were great, and the physicality was on point, but it was little Tiffy, who retained her belt, with her pme finisher.

Overview Of Friday Night Smackdown.

I had a great time watching this weeks edition of the blue brand. The Storylines flowed nicely, and the action was decent in most areas.

This Weeks Smackdown is a solid 8/10.

My Top 5 Maxican Wrestling Icons.

      Intro.

As a british wrestling fan for over thirty years, I have always found Mexican Wrestlers, to be something to be looked at, from the way that they were mistreated on midard, meaning they had a wall placed in front of them, and as the industry changed attitudes changed, as harmful stereotypes were made a thing of the past, as the likes of Rey Mysterio, and. Eddie Guerro, changed the face of the industry, because in the early 2000''s oh these times they were a changing.

       5 Mil Mascaras

This Man was a mark of possibillities, as he has paved the way for multiple talents to follow in his footsteps. Mil was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2012, and it was well deserved.

   4 Juvetude Guerra.

This. Man was the WCW midcard in the mid nineties, and this was unfair, because he was that good.

                                                         3 Thunder Rosa.

Thunder Rosa, is one of my favourite wrestlers working today, and the fact that she is a beacon for if you want it bad enough, you can achieve anything. Puts her on this list.

 2 Eddie Guerrero.

From his physicality, to his all round passion, that speaks volumes, to this day, past the mans death in 2005. He came through the otherside of addiction a better person, and showed that, anyone can overcome hardship, and prove to the world, that seconds chances in life, can be pivotal, and completely affirming.

1 Rey Mysterio.

Who's that coming out the sky. A complete legend that's who. I'm a big fan of this man, his influence, and, passion for this industry is something that he wears on his ring gear, as he takes the fans on a fun ride.

Top 5 Time Wrestlers Appeared In Music Videos. Intro. Given the fact that music Videos still have a fascinating form for creativity, this a...
