My Thoughts On This Weeks Friday Night Smackdown.

Intro.

I've had to change things up here at O'malley Towers, this is because I had a minor case of burnout. So I decided to take some time for myself. This was for my own benefit, so I could give you guys my best for the next week, because with Forbidden Door content coming out, along with everything else that I have planned, my time is going to be taken up with making content, so guys there's plenty to come from me.

5. Solo Sikoa Segment.

I've got to say It. I haven't been a big fan of Solo's crew MFT. Yes I get that this is branch out from the original Bloodline, but when you dig beneath the surface, Solo hasn't been booked well since those days. His interactions with Sami Zayn was a nice touch as an add on from last week. This has me excited, as it could give a new direction for Sami, because he's now back on the blue brand. The segment ended with Sami getting beaten down by Solo's crew, and having to saved by Jakub Fatu, and. Big Jim Uso. I liked this.

4. Melo Don't Miz.

Melo Don't Miz, beat. Fraxiom, in what was a flat and painfully boring TV Match. This Match had no life to it, and it was a real shame.

3. Tiffany Stratton And Kianna James.

I think this Match needs to happen at some point, or if that doesn't happen, then give me Tiffany Stratton vs Giulia, both of these encounters sound enticing.

2. What Are WWE Doing With Drew Mcintyre.

What are WWE doing with Drew Mcintyre. He's been one of my favourite things in WWE over the past few years, but I can't help but feel that they're  rincing and repeating when it comes to him. I can't wait to see his Match against Cody when it happens, but I get the feeling that WWE are looking at Drew as the guy that helps the champion, but won't be the champion, look this is just my opinion, that I can't get over.

1. Six Man Tag Match.

Big Jim Uso. Jakub Fatu, and. Sami Zayn, beat. MFT, in what was a fun TV, was it perfect no, but I had fun watching it, because I felt that something from here just clicked.

AEW Dynamite Review 14.8.2025.

MJF And Hangman Adam Page Segment.

I liked this. From the very start you could feel the visceral feeling between the pair, and it was great to see. From snaps of anger, to moments of truth being the selling point of this segment. This was excellent work from both men, that led to the conclusion of Max executing at Forbidden Door, this is our main event for the UK PPV, and i'm gutted that i'm not going. More on these two later on.

Jon Moxley vs Kevin Knight.

This was awesome. The Physicality that was on display had me thinking, that this was a fascinating sight, that gave the Match time to breathe. As their counteractions were well matched, but it was Mox who got the win with a darce choke, but it was the aftermath that was more entertaining. Speedball Mike Bailey got taken care by The Deathriders, this caused Darby Allin to come out, and Bodybag Wheeler Yuta again, this caused Claudio Castagnoli to Bag Darby, and then hoy him on his shoulders and gave him a big spin and bump. This caused Will Osperay to come out, and challenge Mox to A Match at Forbidden Door. Will Osperay and his mates vs Jon and his mates. In a Liights Out Steel Cage Match. This is going to be golden, and I also think that this is going to leave all fans with a due, and it's got all the ingridients to be ACE. Mox would later be seen talking to a couple of Jobbers, and hello Gabe Kidd.

Mercedes Mone. Thekla, and. Skye Blue vs Alex Windsor, and. Willow Nightingale.

I didn't like this. Now don't get me wrong, I thought the physicality was great, and the ladies worked hard to get the fans on side, but I felt like their was something missing, and I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. Toni Storm and Athena were a study in contrast in the stands one looked Stoic, and the other was having a lovely old time. Alex Windsor got the win for her team, and Athena and Toni had a nice little fight. Toni, and. Alex then challenged Athena and Mercedes to Match next week, when AEW heads to Scotland, the land that created Iron Bru, and Ally Mccoist.

Adam Copeland vs Stokeley Hathaway.

I had fun watching this. Cope got the fans to cook Stokeley, which was wrong, as copeland laid bare a physical beat down on this glorious man, that was until FTR came out and got this Match thrown out with the help of some powder. FTR beat down Cope. This was when Christian Cage came out with Copes mate Spike, and has a tussle with Nick Wayne. Adam then hugged it out with his friend. This made 14 year old Patrick very happy, and then seeing the graphic that the pair will be facing Nick Wayne, and. Kip Sabian at Forbidden Door had feeling even more sad, because i'm not going to Forbidden Door, due to money reasons. At times during this. I thought Adam might change his name to Adam Lansbury, because if he had killed Stokeley, then this would've been called Murder Cope Wrote.

Hook Return Vignette.

All I have to say about this is real simple. As a comic book fan I love this. Holy smokes AEW are going in hard with DC Comics.

The Young Bucks. Josh Alexander, and. Kyle Fletcher vs Brody King. Hologram. Tomohiri Ishii, and Hiromu Takahashi.

This was a superb look, at how mixed and muddled things can be very watchable. The Bucks battered Justin Roberts, because they got mugged off again. The Match ran at a pace of an oversized Energizer Bunny, and this allowed for all men to get their moves in. This was by far the best thing on the show in my opinion. Taka and his team got the win. He will now face Kyle Fletcher at Forbidden Door for the TNT Championship, could life get any worse.

Swerve Strickland Segment.

Sound issues with Renee Paquette aside, this was perfect. His Interactions with Okada were great. Sometimes in Pro wrestling, you don't to have a full blown segment in order to sell the Match, sometimes you just need moments like this. Perfect.

The Opps vs LFI.

I wasn't into this Match. It just felt flat, and I struggled to think how this got to be a main event. The Opps got the win. This wasn't for me.

Hangman Adam Page Is Attacked.

Hangman was having a chat with Renee Paquette, and then he was attacked by MJF, he told Hangman if he thinks this is bad, then he's not seen anything yet. This felt nasty, visceral, and violent through words, and I loved it. This was a great way to send the show off the air.

Overview Of AEW Dynamite.

Even though there were moments in this broadcast that weren't for me, but as a whole it was solid, the in ring action went from good to great, and the Forbidden Door developments are showing a lot of promise.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a high 7/10.

Top 5 Time Wrestlers Appeared In Music Videos.

Intro.

Given the fact that music Videos still have a fascinating form for creativity, this art form has had a varied history with the Pro Wrestling art form. MTV in the nineteen eighties, and nineteen nineties, was a bombastic change in direction, and as the years continued Pro Wrestling would be brought in, as the fans of all genres grew even younger. So here's my list of the times when Pro Wrestlers appeared in Music Videos.

5. The Ultimate Warrior. Phil Collins Two Hearts.

If I told that this combination happened, I don't think that you would've believed me, but it did, the Genesis warbler made a video with this horrific human being, as a selling point for the Collins track Two Hearts, the song itself is terrible, but at least we got to see Gilbert Gotfried, in a funny role.

4. Seth Rollins A Day To Remember All My Friends.

I recently showed my mum, and my dog Jayne this video, and lets just say. It had varied results. My Mum couldn't stop laughing, whilst Jayne ranaway. The video centred around a wild night out gone wrong, which was only made worse when Seth burnt down the bar that the band was drinking in. This should act as a PSA, don't allow Seth Rollins to have a flame gun, because he will burn anything that is around him.

3. AJ Styles Something To Do With Your Hands Sarah Darling.

I think it's easy to say that Sarah Darling is a late 2000's rip off of Country Taylor Swift, her image might be different, but her sound is very much the same. This video is something that I would see as lemonades version of bad. AJ shows up to mend multiple things Darling has dismantled, or just ruined, which ranged from pipes underneath her sink, to an old fashioned TV Set. It's widely known that in the TNA Locker-Room AJ was wound up refusely for appearing in this musical advert for questionable taste.

2. Alexa Bliss. Alexa Bliss. Bowling For Soup.

This song is a reminder that Bowling For Soup, was a band that used to be cool, when I was 15. This is a look at how bad they had became. The band that crafted songs about living in 1985, learning the ethics of Punk Rock, and being liked by The Girl That All The Bad Guys Want, were now trying to cash in on WWE in 2018, when they featured Alexa in this omage to cringe.

1. 21 Savage Ric Flair Drip.

Stylin, Profilin, and by all accounts being a dodgy person, are all things than can be said about Ric Flair these days. But this video that he made with 21 Savage is just insane, it's something that i want to look away from, but I just can't, because, well. It's Ric Flair. The track, and the ideas that surround this, are taylor made for someone like Ric.

My Top 5 Favourite Metal Bands And how They Counteract With Pro Wrestling.

Intro.

In life we all have, healthy, and unhealthy forms of aggression, and this can be said when it comes to Pro Wrestling, and Metal music. It's been said that Music has the ability to make you think, and feel in equal measures, and hit you in a place that carries all of our emotions. Your Heart. Pro Wrestling Matches also have this ability, because when two wrestlers enter the ring, no one can predict how the story is about to unfold. This is the same when you listen to an album from your favourite band.

5. Parkway Drive.

This Australian five piece have set the world ablaze over the past twenty years. Their new found theatrics, mixed in with hard hitting riffs, pounding drums, crushing baselines, and the overriding themes of Love. Honour, and impending doom, has made this band, a modern revolution. About ten years ago their was a big question surrounding future festival headliners, this has been said about PPV's aswell, with Wrestlemania, and All In being great examples. I can't wait to see these guys at London's Wembley OVO Arena this coming October

4. Killswitch Engage.

I'm a big fan of this band, their lyrics, act like an emotional sharp jab to the heart, whilst their guitar riffs, and drum tracks pound away at my senses. They've got a history with my favourite past time. In 2007 they performed the track This Fire Burns, which was the entrance theme for Cm Punk, and. End Of Heartache is currently being used for Roderick Strong in AEW. Ricochet is also known to be a fan. I can't to wait to see them in October at London's Wembley OVO Arena.

3. Slipknot.

This band has had a rough ride over the years, from lawsuits, the death of it's members, and not to mention that Shawn crahan has stated in the past, that the band didn't make much Money from their first five albums. This is how some wrestling promoters have behaved for years, from the indy scene to the big time. The sound of the band has never wavered, as fans appreciation has grown over the years.

 2. Slayer.

From patterned aggression, to the overwhelming usage of honesty. This band have the ability to make you feel like a normal person. slayer are that band that resemble a backyard Wrestling Promotion, that caters to the sick, and utterly splended at the same time. I only know the South Of Heaven as well.

1. Metallica.

Give Me fuel, give me fire, give me that what I desire. Metallica fans are as loyal as they come, this has led to a steady load of tribalism over the years, in the same way that WWE fans feel towards AEW fans, and vice versa. Also did you hear that Hulk Hogan once Auditioned for them ( yeah right ).

My Top 5 Insights From AEW Collision.

5. Kyle Fletcher vs Tomohiro Ishii TNT Championship.

I liked this. The Match oozed charisma, and had solid physicality. I have to say, i'm starting to get behind Kyle Fletcher. I think the monicker The Protostar isn't just a clever thing to say on TV, or to put on a t shirt. He retained easily, and called his shot to face anyone from NJPW at Forbidden Door. Don Callis then echoed these sentiments later on.

4. Ricochet Wrecks Fools.

I love Ricochet and his new crew with The Gates Of Agony, especially when they wreck fools. I love this guy Ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

3. Juice Robinson vs Ricochet.

This was a massive cluster, it felt like Tony Khan had taken pages from WWE's playbook, it was overbooked, over produced, and a complete waste of time. Ricochet got the win.

2. FTR And Big Stoke vs Some Local Jobbers.

FTR, and. Big Stoke, beat some local jobbers, in a fun TV Match, thanks to that glorious man. I love me some Stokeley, can we please have more of this glorious man on TV please.

 1. The Triangle Of Madness vs Willow Nightingale. Tay Melo, and. Queen Aminata.

I liked this. This had a solid flow to it, and it was highly enjoyable. That crazy trio of Madness got the win.

My Top 5 Thoughts On UFC Night Night Dolidze vs Hernandez.

My Thoughts On Friday Night Smackdown.

You Guys know that I don't like doing apologies, but I had to outright miss Friday Night Smackdown when it came to writing a review. I did check it out later in the evening, and if i'm being honest I thought this show was a mix-bag. John Cena's promo dual with Logan Paul was class, and Chelsea Green eating cake the hard way, was a fun sight, but the rest of the show felt feasible. This was a real shame, because with all of the negative press that the WWE has been getting, I think they could've put forward their best foot, but they didn't.

5. Eryk Adders Gets Owned By A Brit.

Christian Leroy Duncan, beat. Eryk Adders in what was a fantastic performance. His boxing looked crisp, and his speed acted like flowing water. This was excellent. And to think the Man is from Gloucestershire.

4. Jean Matsumoto.

Jean Matsumoto had a great showing in victory. When this fight got confirmed I was excited to see it, because some of my favourite fighters in UFC history come from the Bantamweight Division. This is what happens when you have a fighter with a great gas tank, and the other eats up pressure, you know what you're in for, a good old time if you get these ingridients.

3. Andre Fili Will Be A Champion.

I've been watching Andre Fili for some time, and I've got to say it. He's not looked this good for some time, he beat Christian Rodriguez by split decision.

2. Toshinomi Kazuma And That Slam.

This was one of those moments that you hoped you didn't see, but you did. Elliott Smith slammed Toshinomi Kazuma, and it looked nasty, he landed in between a mixture of his head and neck. It was reported during the broadcast that Kazuma was ok, and was later cleared by UFC doctors later on.

1. Roman Dolidze vs Anthony Hernandez.

There's a new contender in town for the Middleweight crown, and his name is Anthony Hernandez, he looked awesome, and his slick submission was a solid move, now lets get on to Roman Dolidze. I've been a fan of Romans for a couple of years now, and this has to be his worst performance yet, he couldn't defend takedowns, he was focusing on the stand up game, and this was his downfall, as he had a point taken away for holding the cage. I don't know where the UFC go next with Roman, as this loss will take him out of the top ten Middleweight rankings list, so this does ask questions, that only Dana White, and Sean Shelby can answer.

 The Brock Lesnar Situation Explained.

Content Warning.

This article this contains references towards abuse and grooming, that some readers might find distressing, reader discretion is advised.

This Past Weekend.

Over the stretch of last weekend WWE presented its Summer opus Summerslam, which took place over two nights, Night one was a reminder of what an uneven mixbag looks like, with night 2 acting like a well run machine, with the added disclosure of be careful what you wish for. I just need to say that this isn't a Brock Lesnar hit piece. This is a look at how fans have been divided under the face of scrutiny. I'm going to delve into the why's and hows, when it comes to how we get got to this situation.

The Start.

Before we get into the serious side of things, we have to go back to when he debuted for the WWE, he made his debut on the 18th of March 2002, and from that moment he had the rocket strapped to him. The terms The Next Big Thing. Suplex City. Here Comes The Pain, and. The Beast Incarnate, were not just clever things to put on t shirts, it was a clever way of telling fans that this guy was a looming threat, it was the direction that WWE's creative was going under at the time. This was when Vince Mcmahon came into the Picture, it was known that Lesnar saw the former chairman as a mentor. I think this is were the lines could have started to get blurred.

The Threads Of Abuse.

Vince Mcmahon has been called a lot of things over the years, but his image nowadays is mered in Controversy to the worst degree. In 1985 he was accused of rape by former WWE referee Rita Chatterton, this would be a common trend for Mcmahon in  the coming decades. It was known that he didn't have the best of up bringings, from abuse in the family home, to his own dad Vince Snr not being around. I feel that this could have played a part in what was to come. This has left me with questioins when the Janelle Grant Lawsuit came about. Can the abused, become the abuser? And has Brock been groomed to think that certain behaviours are ok. This could be the routine that groomers take. The phrase I blame parents used to get thrown around, but to me this only part of the excuse, because it's the individuals that need to held accountable.

Not The First Time.

On June 8th The Wall Street Journal primarily reported findings on Vince Mcmahon, this would get picked up by the New York Magazine on the 26th of January 2024, this would contain allegations surrounding hush money pay outs, and Sexual abuse. The first accounts that echoed throughout the Summer of 2022, saw Vince Retire in disgrace, only to come back in January of 2023, this was to facilitate the sale of WWE to Endeavour, this would come to completion as 2023 rolled on, as the WWE merged with the UFC to form TKO, a mega force in Combat Sports. On the 25th of January 2024 the Janelle Grant Lawsuit was filed in the United States District of Connecticut, this detailed years of abuse, as the suit was directed at Vince Mcmahon. John Laurenitis, and WWE, on the grounds of Sexual Abuse, and Sex Trafficking, and harbouring a toxic work envirioment. The document resulted in 68 pages detailing what Grant went through, and as the pages got worse, you could see the parental pattern come to light. The documents also detailed times when Vince would traffic Janelle to resign a former UFC Champion, who the WWE were trying to resign. The filing was later amended to name Brock Lesnar 44 times. Back in 2021 an episode from season 3 of Darkside Of The Ring centred around what actually happened on the plane ride from hell. Ric Flair was accused of Sexual Assault, and it brought forward industry failings when it came to how wrestlers interacted with each other. Terry Runnels accused Brock of indecent exposure. She was told to not make a big deal of it, when the words don't sell it was advised to her. When you balance all of these things together, it paints a picture of a situation, in which the attitudes of men needed to be a lot more sympathetic towards those who just wanted the situation that they were to stop.

TKO.

Flash forward to the Summer of 2025. In the aftermath of Summerslam. John and Cody had finished, and as the dust was settling Brock's theme could be heard echoing around Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. In the Stadium this was met with a huge pop, however the online community told a different story. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I felt unsettled, and I had every right to be. In the aftermath I googled whether this was a TKO move, and as it turned out TKO was rumoured that he on was a band list. This was loosely mentioned by Dave Meltzer, and told as truth by former UFC Fighter Daniel Cormier. So this means that it was a WWE call. I feel that this was a complete mis step, and a bad look. I have friends who have gone through these issues, so if someone like me felt unsettled, then I can't imagine how they must've felt, because like me they're Pro Wrestling fans.

Don't Shame Fans.

In the aftermath of Brocks return I looked into the legal side of this case, and I was feeling bemused. WWE's legal team cleared Brock to return, this is due to the fact that WWE think that this case could be going in the direction of arbortration, which means that both parties can't meet in the middle. I can see things from both sides. Janelle Grant has done nothing wrong, so taking this case to the public is a way of saying that she has nothing to hide, whilst WWE wanting  to keep this private, this could be due to a mariad of reasons, mainly the protection of their brand, that was tainted by the old regime. As the days went by. I started to research this. I was met with everything from. Tone Deaf responses, to overblown merchandising. I'm not going to tell people how they should feel about this. I can only state my own opinion. So if fans want to buy Brock Lesnar merch, then that's their right, and it's not up to anyone to say otherwise. My main inspiration for writing this piece, was on Monday their was lot's of misinformation going around on X, and I don't think that's right, because that can be damaging when it comes to public perception. The only thing I can say is this. We have our own thoughts on this subject. I just think Brocks return has a nasty asterix against it, that has made me feel unsettled.

If you've been affected by any of the issues raised in this article here in the UK you can call Rape Crisis on 0808 500 222, and if worried about the safety of a child you call the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 these lines are available from Monday to Friday.

 AEW Dynamite Review 7.8.2025.

MJF Opens The Show.

MJF has been the best part of AEW television over this past two months, and this opening segment acted as a forshadow for what was to come later on in the broadcast. Max's world is starting to crumble, and it's great to see. You love to see it.

Jon Moxley vs Speedball Mike Bailey.

I liked this. Mox was in a pissed off mood after Darby Allin tried to murder him last week on Collision, so he took it out on Speedball Mike Bailey. Wheeler Yuta was at ringside, and the only thought that ran through my head was this, we need to start the angles of him leaving The Deathriders. Mox snapped Bayley's finger, which looked nasty. Mike Bailey's heart became the solid backbone of this Match. Darby Allin then kidnapped Wheeler Yuta, this caused the end of the Match to get hurried, as Mox hit Bailey with a Death Valley Driver for the win, seconds after the segment that followed. Jon took the chase to the car park, and Marina saw a Wheeler Yuta shaped Bodybag, that when undone had a message on Yuta's head that simply read. Forbidden Door.

Alex Windsor And Toni Storm Segment.

( Insert UK Club chocolate bar ad here ) If you like a load of sexual innuendo with your wrestling watch this segment. Just check this out.

Alex Windsor vs Queen Aminata vs Skye Blue vs Billie Starkz TBS 4 Way Qualifier.

Alex Windsor, beat. Queen Aminata. Skye Blue, and. Billie Starkz in what was a great TV Match. From the Matches within the Match, and Alex windsor creating her own version of the Boston Crab Human Centipede, and Toni Storm just being at ringside, just added humour to the proceedings. Athena attacked Toni Storm, and Windsor had a face off against Mercedes Mone

Generation Me Segment.

The Young Bucks bullied a Production worker, and ordered him to give these lines to Justin Roberts. This went horribly wrong. More on these guys later.

Kyle Fletcher Segment.

This was the perfect balance of cheese, and old school humour. Renee Paquette earnt her money tonight, and she nearly corpsed twice, and this one of those moments. Kyle Fletcher is now becoming the old school bad guy, that this era of fans need, and when you fold that in with Elton John chandelier glasses, a dodgy looking painting, and a promo that sounds like it came out directfully from the mid 1980's. you get gold. I liked this.

Murder On Live TV Next Week.

Next Week Adam Copeland is going to Murder a Glorious man live on TV. You leave Stokeley Hathaway alone. Stokeley later on answered this back later on in the broadcast.

Brodido vs The Young Bucks Forbidden Door Tag Team Tournament Match.

This was excellent. The Young Bucks were given back their entrance music, and production, to a half extent, they had to nearly crawl to get out to the rampway, and Justin Roberts completely mugged them off, and it was hilarious. You love to see it. The flawless physicality was insane at points, and the near falls were crafted together, to mould in with the story of the Match. Brodido got the win, and will now face FTR at a later date, for a chance to meet The Hurt Syndicate at Forbidden Door. One other thing, during this Match Toni Schiavone said that Full Gear is going back to New Jersey, and that The Rock will be hosting, and just like that my excitement levels went through the roof. The Man that tried to take one of its founders souls is hosting a show for the competition, and is now wanting that Company's soul. Yes I am gullable.

The Hurt Syndicate Is Now The No Max's Club.

MVP Kicked Max out of The Hurt Syndicate, and just like that they became AEW's answer to the No Homers Club.

Swerve Strickland Segment.

Swerve vs Okada at Forbidden Door. I have no notes, just hook this Match to my veins.

MJF vs Mark Briscoe.

I liked this. From the innovative chair, and table spots. Both men fighting in the fans, to these two establishing themselves as the thinking mans Pro Wrestlers. The Near falls were solid, as they helped mark this as an excellent TV main event that did the job, however the finish felt a bit botchy, but then again this could all be a big work to help aid the on going storyline. Bryce Remsburg missed the fact that Mark had his foot on the ropes, and gave Max the three count. Max then beat down Mark, and bloodied him up with that beautiful Gold ring. Hangman Adam Page stood on the top of the ramp, and came down to aid his fallen friend, as Max tried escape, but Hangman caught him and the pair had a fight in the fans to end the show. I had a blast watching this main event, as it was a perfect way to send the show off the air.

Overview of AEW Dynamite.

As the anticipation for Forbidden Door grows even closer, the weekly TV from AEW continues to grow and get better and better. I'm not going to Forbidden Door due to the prices of travel to Greenwich, and the ticket prices, but that doesn't change the fact that I have thoroughly enjoyed the build to this event.

This weeks AEW Dynamite is a high 8/10.

WWE Unreal Reality From A Constructed Viewpoint.

Intro.

This isn't WWE's first floray into the Reality TV, because back in 2015, when Total Divas was doing well on the E channel. The netflix deal has given so much, whilst also annoying some fans. However their exscurtion back into this form of entertainment so far has been a treat. Netflix aren't known for Reality TV, if anything their actually quite new to this overbloated made up market. This movement in Entertainment came about in the mid 2000's when MTV forshadowed what was to come, gone were the days of the famous dad moving around his mansion, and in its place came a scripted point of view, when shows like. Laguna Beach. The Hills, and. Jersey Shore, made household names of its stars. WWE has made names of its superstars over the space of multiple decades. So was a their a point to taking us fans behind the curtain, to take a look at their lives? Well in my opinion, yes. The show is a sugary look at how storylines come together, but it's a look that we've never seen, yes this is scripted reality, but it's not being aimed at the MTV generation. This is Netflix's look at what they can do with big name brands.

Episode 1.

As this form of Constructed reality started to take shape, us fans got thrown into this world, as current C.O.O Paul HHH  Levesque, guided us through how the Machine that's WWE, and how it operates. From the very start I got the sense that the company is a breathing dragon that never sleeps, and it doesn't. The storylines are well crafted from the writers room, to the editorialising in the ring, and at points can act as a vehicle for wires to get crossed, which can lead to real life disputes. The importance of family, and injuries act as a great small backdrop, when looked at through the eyes of Rhea Ripley, and. Cody Rhodes, whilst we we're treated to the views of mr Cm Punk, as his comeback from Injury, happened six months before filming.

Episode 2.

This episode was centred around the rise of Jey Uso, and the family tree that had created him. This took place at the time of The Royal Rumble earlier this year, the cameras caught everything, from the moment Jey was told that he was getting the rocket strapped to him By HHH. This was met with praise in the O'malley household, but it was interesting to see inside the writers room, and the thoughts that came from the creative team, most went with Punk, and Cena as winners. This was the stepping stone for what was to come. The interactions with Jey's brother Jimmy was fascinating, also Punk, just take a photo with Jakub.

Episode 3.

The Ladies took centre stage in this episode. I'm not a big fan of Stephanie Mcmahon, and she didn't make me feel like I wanted to turn off Netflix. This episodes centrefold was the hardship that these ladies have gone. Charlotte Flair Bereavement, and. Chelsea Green injuries, and how they came through it is nothing short of incredible. Bianca Belair, and. Chelsea Green, have a large selection of ring gear, that caters to their personalities, and work ethic, that can only be seen as inspiring. The focus that was centred around The Royal Rumble was forced, and completely put together. In my review of the Rumble from earlier this year. I thought that the womens Rumble suffered with pacing issues, and predictability, but that comes a close second, when you learn how they wanted to do. This was a fascinating look at how TV can become fiction.

Episode 4.

Heels turns, and heartbreak was the backstory for what became WWE's biggest pile of fiction in this mini series. Paul Levesque took us on a guided tour of how John Cena's heel turn came to be, telling us that only six people knew what was going to happen at Elimination Chamber. I didn't buy any of this, because it doesn't fold into how live TV works, Producers. Directors, and camera crew, would all have to be informed so things can run smoothly, so yeah. Believe what you want. Xavier Woods comes across like an insightful talking head. He carried the flag for The New Day, and talked us through the moment when Big E was removed from the group. I love hearing this type of insight, as I feel that it offers fans something that can be seen as a fascinating look at how the industry treats the dynamic, of Babyface vs Heel, Yes this could can be seen as having your intelligence insulted, but over the course of this episode, the series treats the issue with respect.

Episode 5.

With Wrestlemania around the corner it was important that all storylines were kept in a straightline. Punk. Rollins, and. Roman, and Jey, and Gunther, had their plates spinning from the moment were conceived, but Tiffany Stratton, and. Charlotte was another thing. All of this was a complete misconception. Charlotte the week before their infamous promo, took Tiffany to school in London, and bragged her into the deep end during a split screen segment. What came after was a complete car wreck, complete with Charlotte's squeaky voice. TIffany took the blame, as the heat was driven her way. John Cenas heel run has had its moments, from the early goings the promos were sensational, as the rest of the run failed to live to it's promise. The overall run of this episode felt like an episode of WWE 24 just with added strong language. This episode to me added nothing to what I already have known, and it failed to tell the full story between Charlotte, and. Tiffany, due to entertainment reasons. I felt that WWE did Tiffany dirty, but it was great to see her hold her own.

Overview of the Series.

WWE, and. Netflix have co produced a series, that offers the promise of entertainment, but dlivers in the realm of scripted constructed reality, as fact and fiction meshed together well, to create what we now have, a new way to look at WWE as we know it.

My Top 5 Insights From Monday Night Raw 5.8.2025.

Intro.

With the final outline from Summerslam lingering over WWE like a bad case of sunburn. I kind of feel like they deserve the heat. I'm going to into my feelings on the Brock Lesnar situation later on this week, so I won't go much into detail here, other than for this reason.

5. Brock Lesnars Return.

I'm going to get this out of the way now, so I don't have this hanging over my head. Michael Cole stating WWE's version of how Brock came back to WWE, had me feeling sorry for the veteran commentator. I get that he was told to say what was said, but using him like this to me was a bit cruel, when you dig beneath the surface.

4. Seths Crew Has A Name.

I liked this opening Segment. From Paul Heyman taking verbal shots at Roman Reigns, and Seth having his own fun, whilst looking a cross between Hollywood montrose, and a strawberry. He blamed fans, and put shame on us all for chanting for Punk, and for my OTC, by letting us know how he feels. He told us the new name for his crew. Visionary, and lets just put it this way. It's the Uncle Moes Family Feedbag Of Names, yeah it's that bad. Seth's interactions with LA Knight did make me laugh. Adam Pearce then came out, and he didn't sound very happy with Seth, so he booked both men for the main event, oh and he banished The Brons from ringside. The Match was a bit flat overall, and was then thrown out Cm Punk went for Seth, he got beaten down, and Seth tried to leave, but that was when Roman Reigns came out to stair down his former Shield Compradre. I liked this. It moved quite well, and was a decent episode long storyline thread.

3. Rusev vs Sheamus ( again ).

Ok this Match got thrown out by count out, because men were kicking too much arse. Watching these two fight like that season two episode of Malcolm In The Middle was pure comedy.

2. The Cast Of Wednesday Were Sat At Ringside.

The nerd in me was having a filed day, when I saw the cast of Wednesday sat at ringside, with the shows creators Alfred Gough, and Miles Miller. Thse two created Smallville one of my favourite TV Shows ever. I know that bringing this show up, with Brock lesnar might look like bad taste, so I just want you to know this. To say that I don't condone any form of sexual bullying is an understatement.

1. Charlotte Flair And Alexa Bliss beat Roxanne Perez And Raquel Rodriguez.

I'm starting to like the dynamic between these two, they beat Roxanne Perez, and. Raquel Rodriguez. The Match was better than there Summerslam encounter in my opinion. I thought their Summerslam Match was adequote, if lifeless in places, but this felt fresh, and a bit more feasible. Also say it with me Charlotte and Alexa are fwiends oooh fwiends wrestling fwiends. The Inbetweeners has a lot to answer for doesn't it.

Monday Night Raw Review 4.11.2025. Cm Punk Segment. This was the right way to start off the show. Punk was given the walk through treatment,...
