WWE Elimination Chamber Review 24.2.2024

Intro

This weekend has been an enjoyable ride, from one of my favourite bands of all time. Linkin Park releasing a new song called. Friendly Fire, to WWE taking a trip down under, for their last PLE trip on the rd to Wrestlemania. Perth made for a stunning backdrop, the silouette of day turning to night, made this evening even more special. Were ever WWE goes globally, their initives and values are matched in local communities, and given all of the negative press attention that has gone around of late, and rightfully so, it's nice to see fans triumping over adversity, If WWE are planning on becoming an even bigger force, then relationships like this are vital, yes the deal with Netflix, is also vital, but without the sense of community from global partners, deals like that are not worth the money they're printed on, fans and community are far more important than anything.

The Womens Chamber Match

Becky Lynch. Liv Morgan. Tiffany Stratton. Raquel Rodriguez. Bianca Belair, and. Naomi, all entered the womens Chamber. I liked all of this, as I thought this was the strongest of the Chamber Matches on the card, from. Naomi. Raquel Rodriguez, and. Tiffany Stratton, all giving good accounts for themselves, to. Liv. Becky, and. Tiffany, all using the pods for their benefit as launchpads, Bianca acted as an unsung hero in the proceedings. The Match was given plenty of time to breathe, clocking in at over 48 minutes, Including entrances. The In built story didn't matter, because with a stipulation like this, it's important that the steel structure becomes a background player, whilst acting as the storyteller, in the battle of who wants it more. Becky got the win, and will go on to face the winner of the main event, the final exchanges were solid, and helped set the tone for the rest of the evening.

Balor and priest vs New Catch Republic Universal Tag Team Championships

With this Match acting as the only mid card Championship, on the main show, the preasure for these two teams just doubled up. This. Was fast paced fun. Both teams styles meshed together perfectly, acting like a perfect American, and. European Combo, from. The Human Hoven. Dominik Mysterio, causing trouble at ringside. Pete Dunne have some joint manipulation fun. To the great near falls, elevating the stakes, and the drama, to the Champs. Balor, and. their Priest retaining belts with, a south of heaven, and coup de grace combo. Both teams rose to the challenge, and on a night like this, it's important to have that mentality.

The Grayson Waller Effect Aussie Special

I enjoyed all of this, from. Austin Theory, acting like a master of ceremony, Insulting their snacks, and rightfully so, because Veggiemite is truly awful, and later getting decked, to the ovation that Waller got from his home country, and that delicous looking shoey, he had with UFC Fighter, and Australian native. Tai Tuibasa was a humbling treat. The fans were truly at his mercy, they ate everyword, from out of the palm of his hand, he introduced his guests. Cody Rhodes, and. Seth Freakin Rollins. Grayson asked for acknowledgement, and asked Cody, does he think that it was a bit selfish of him, ruining the Mania main event for his own gain. Cody explained what he thinks of Dwayne, and the hole situation, going through all of names that he would call the fans, Waller was in his element, when he reminded him, that he called them cry babies. Cody then asked, how many Cody Cry babies are their in attendance, he was then met with an overwhelming response, from the strong Aussie crowd, the emotion on his face was palpable, you could see what it meant to him, he then challenged. The Rock to a Match whenever he wants to answer the challenge. Seth earlier in the promo said, that he is nearly 100% cleared, which means if Cody needs him he will be their, because he admires him. Theory then took over, and did some of the worst impersonations of The Rock, that I have ever heard. This acted as his downfall. The funny thing is, when. Theory was getting decked. Grayson did nothing. I thought this was awesome.

The mens Chamber Match

Even though this followed the same formula to the womens Match. I thought it fell into the realm of predictability, the eliminations fell on that, because I could tell who was going to go, and when. But it did have it's fun moments, from. Kevin Owens welcoming Logan paul to hell, Aj Styles coming out, and battering Drew, furthering his heel turn. To logan eating an RKO, after contemplating having some fun with his good mate brass knuckles. Which would come into effect when, he knocked out Randy with them, allowing Drew to slither over and get the pin.

HHH Segment

HHH came out, and told the fans that the attendance for the show was 52,590, and at that point, my bulls*** omitre went into overdrive, because WWE have a long running history of lying about the attendace records.

Rhea Ripley vs Nia Jax

I didn't like parts of this Match. I thought some parts fell flat, but when it did get going, it turned into a lowfi burner of a Match, from Rhea struggling to hit rhea with her riptide finisher. Nia putting her through a table with a samoan drop, to both women selling their near falls to great effect. Rhea got the win with her riptide finisher. Even though this was not for me, the sight of Rhea, celebrating at ringside with her family, is a sight that no one should take away from her. As the evening came to a close, the rd to Wrestlemania continued wind, and with many more corners to turn, we are nowhere near the end of the rd, because we're just getting started.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 is a solid 8/10.
