Monday Night Raw Review

Intro

The last nine days in the world of wrestling have been, emotional, lnteresting, humerous, and downright embarassing if you're name is. Tony Khan. I personally have enjoyed all of it, from the stupid personal jibes, to the ill advised sex references. But there is also a caviat, this could be seen as embarassing on both sides. Even though. I don't think this is a major concern, the old metric of. If you think your no1, then you shouldn't even look down at no2, may need to be inforced, for the sake of collateral damage.

Rhea Ripley Vacates Her Womens Championship

Rhea Ripley was out first tonight, to start off Monday Night Raw, decked with her arm in a sling, and due to injury, she's having to vacate her Womens Championship. She wasted no time in placing the blame on Liv Morgans head, telling the story of, an eye for an eye. She called Morgan a coward, whilst sending her a stark warning, because when she comes back, she will be wanting blood, and if she gets her way, she will be following in the footsteps of. The Human Oven, by doing some hard time. Liv Morgan came out flanked by security, Rhea gives one of then a forehead sandwich to end the segment, and was given a nice little send from her Judgement Day guys backstage. Liv answered this back later on. All of this has come around due to Rhea suffering an arm injury, by the sounds of things. This is a sad way for things to come to an end for Rhea. I would've liked for her drop the belt at Summerslam, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

Sheamus vs Ivar

Sheamus returned to TV by beating Ivar in a fun, short Match. Sheamus hit the viking with a knee cap, and a brogue kick for the win. He then celebrated at Ringside with Pat Mcafe, and. Michael Cole. You love to see it.

HHH segment and Triple Threat Tag Team Match

What came next had me howling with laughter. HHH, and. Adam Pearce came out. HHH spoke of the importance of Wrestlemania, and told us that the Tag belts are changing, in line with the company's new era. Pearce then asked the Tag Champs. Awesome Truth to come out. What came next was gold. HHH gave R Truth his flowers, and in response. Truth had a funny back and forth with The King Of Kings. HHH was trying visibly not to corpse, whilst also thinking, uummm, what am I doing with my life. Truth thought that he was Tomasso Ciampa. HHH walks away after showing the dynamic duo, the new belts. And don't get me wrong. I'm pleased to see those ugly roman gladiatior belts go, but these new belts look like, a bowl of strawberry flavoured cereal. Adam Pearce then brought out the teams, that are coming for those belts. DIY. The Crede Brothers, and. The New Day, all faced each other in an excellent Match. DIY got the win. And will face Awesome Truth at a later date.

Drew Mcintyre segment

Jackie Redmond was trying to Interview Drew Mcintyre, he stormed off after seeing footage of Cm Punk. I think Drew is pissed off because he's hungry. Drew. Mate. Eat a snickers, because your not you, when your hungry. All though. I think that Punk is a Milky Way kind of guy. Other chocolate bars are also available.

Indi Hartwell and Candace Lerae vs Ivy Nile and Maxine Dupri

Indi Hartwell, and Candace Lerae, beat. Ivy Nile, and. Maxine Dupri, thanks to Indi's Hartwells cheating. I'm not interested in any of this.

Damien Priest Video

A promo video showcasing Damian Priests rise to the top. I have been a follower of this man, since his days as Punishment Martinez in ROH. And I think he fully deserves the success that he is having. Also am I the only person who thinks that the following segment, is the start of the downfall of The Judgement Day. And that Finn Balor is Hurricane Helms.

Andrade vs Dirty Dominik Mysterio

Andrade, beat. Dominik Mysterio, in a solid Match, filled with decent physicality, and good chemistry. Ricochet made the save, when The Judgement Day, tried to put a beating on Andrade. I don't think The Judgement Day are one for this world.

Chelsea Green and Piper Niven vs Kayden Karter and Katana Chance

Chelsea Green, and. Piper Niven, beat. Kayden Karter, and. Katana Chance, in a standard TV Match, that lasted for about 3 minutes. Am I the only person who thinks that HHH, has gone to the well of. Tony Khans bad booking, of his womens division, a little bit to often of late.

Cody Rhodes Segmen

I loved this segment. Cody has a radiance with the fans, and it shows everytime he comes out. However, some fans don't like him, and have started comparing him to mid 2000's John Cena. I don't understand the comparison. Cody Rhodes has been chosen to lead this new era in WWE, whilst Cena was placed in his position, and forced down our throats as a leader. Cody talked about Backlash, and both of his future opponents. He thanked Adam Pearce, and. Seth Rollins, and slammed The Rock, which only hyped up, what we could be getting in the future. He mentioned what Dwayne had told him. And I think it's safe to say, both men will bleed, when they eventually face each other. Cody spoke about the confusion with The Bloodline, and brought out Jey Uso, both men had a nice back and forth. Cody told that he has his back when he faces Finn Balor, they had a yeetathon, but Jey wanted to go it alone.

Jey Uso vs Finn Balor

Jey Uso, beat. Finn Balor in a decent TV Match. The Judgement Day tried to Beat Jey down, but he got away, and escaped through the fans. Which lead to something really cool. The Camera followed Jey as he left the Arena, and who was standing at the entrance. Sami Zayn.

Sami Zayn vs Chad Gable Intercontinental Championship

The camera shot followed Sami into the arena, he basked in the adulation of the fans, the noise that came from that building, sounded incredible. The atmosphere felt palpable through the TV screen. Both men showed their hand, and created something special, for the fans in attendance. The physicality was insane, and their chemistry was great. But it was Sami who got the win, after a hellouva kick from a roll up. But it was the aftermath that shocked everyone. Sami went over to celebrate with his family and friends, and just like that. Chad snapped, he suplexed Sami around, like a rag doll. I got real Kurt Angle 2008-2009 TNA vibes from this, and I loved all of it.

Overview Of Monday Night Raw

I thought this was the best episode of Monday Night Raw so far this year. Don't get me wrong. I loved last weeks show. I just felt this weeks show flowed better, even though it wasn't a promo heavy show, the in ring work went from bad, to good, to excellent, and the promos we got, went straight to the point. If this weeks Raw was food. It would be Mcdonalds, a food that fills you up, but also leaves you wondering, do I really need that extra portion of fries, because it left me wanting a bit more.

This Weeks Monday Night Raw is a solid 8/10.
