AEW Collision Review 17.11.2024.
Intro.
As the year starts to wind down. I sit here on a Sunday Morning having just Watched, AEW Guns And Roses montage package, and the main thoughts that ran through my mind, was, wow, the year has gone by quick. AEW Full Gear is next Saturday, and I have to say. I'm looking forward to this PPV. Dynamite this week, may have fallen by the wayside, in terms of quality, it hasn't detered my enjoyment of the product, that has been coming out, on a weekly basis.
Marieh May And Anna Jay Seen Showing Up.
AEW, then tried to take the piss out of WWE, by having to of their stars, in Anna Jay, and. Marieh May, show up to the arena.
Mina Shirakawa vs Harley Cameron.
I didn't like this. The Match fell very flat, and never recovered. Mina got the win, and she will have a celebration with Marieh next week, at Full Gear.
Daniel Garcia vs Johnny TV.
This. Is. Another Match, that fell flat to me, and never recovered. Jack Perry Kidnapping Daddy Magic, was a highlight, but that's it. The physicality was predictable, and the match stagnated as a result. Garcia got the win, and we were shown Perry attacking Magic, he tried to take him for a ride, but this backfired, and Garcia, caught up with Perry, and they flipped reversed the script, and took Postman Perry for a ride. The Match wasn't very good, but this had me laughing.
Lio Rush Segment.
Lio Rush, is looking to the future, and you know what I don't blame him, because he's ace, and he's seven years younger than me. Which is amazing, in my opinion.
Shelton Benjamin vs Kommander.
I didn't like this. The Match felt clunky, and it's a shame, because this had a lot of promise. Shelton got the win, and then he and MVP tried to unmask kommander, which led to Alex Abrahantez, to get flawed by MVP, who also had a few words with Max Castor, later on.
Kris Statlander Segment.
I have no other words, other than. Hikaru Shida vs Kris Statlander, yes please.
Powerhouse Hobbs vs Bronson.
Powerhouse Hobbs, beat. Bronson of the Iron Savages, in a squash Match, that was flat, but also resembled two big men slapping meat.
Roderick Strong Has Some Words For MJF.
Roderick Strong, then had a backstage segment with Renee Paquette, and he had some words for Max, and all I can say is this. I think this match could be a sleeper hit, at the PPV.
Tag Team Full Gear Qualifier.
The Acclaimed, beat. Rush, and. The Beast Mortas, in a decent TV Match. Jake Roberts had fun, giving Max Castor a right hook, to the back of the head. Max's pre Match rap cut to the gut, and. The Acclaimed got the win, completing the four way, for the PPV next weekend. I liked this.
The Conglomeration Segment.
Ishii, has no words for Chris Jericho, so Mark Briscoe, and Rocky Romero, took up the fight, and all I have to say is this. God Bless you gentlemen.
FTR Segment.
FTR vs The Outrunners, at a later date, yes please. They want Gold. No, don't seperate from my guys The Outrunners. I might cry if this happens, because everything should be about The Outrunners.
AEW Womens Championship No Dq Match Marieh May vs Anna Jay.
I liked all of this. From Nigel Mcguinness's jealousy, when Marieh May rested on Tony Schiavone, after the chaos had started. Both ladies had fun with Ladders, and trash can fun. Marieh whipped Anna like a goverment Mule. Deonna Purrazzo, and. Taya Valkarye, were seen watching on, as the violence ensued. Marieh's transition into a table spot, was a bit awkward, but that's what made it so endearing. Marieh May, then got suplexed onto a guardrail bed. Anna turned to her old friend Barbwire, and tried to mane May, with her Queenslayer submission hold, this allowed May to hit Jay with her Storm Zero finisher. Mina Shirakawa then came to celebrate, and all was right with the world. ( I think )
Jon Moxley Segment.
I loved this Segment. I'm currently enjoying were AEW is taking Jon's direction. I understand that not everyone has liked this, but I think it's revived some good energy in the company. Cassidy, and. Mox Next Weekend, is going to be a sight to be seen.
November Rain Montage.
AEW, then showed a video montage of Novembers best moments, soundtracked to November Rain, by. Guns And Roses. This was perfect. I liked all of this, and it was a great way to end the broadcast. As you can also tell. I love Guns And Roses.
Overview Of AEW Collision.
I thought this broadcast was an uneven mix-bag, that has me feeling quite pleased having just watched it. The Promos went from poor to good, and the in-ring work followed that same pattern.
This weeks AEW Collision is a mid 7/10.
