WWE Monday Night Raw 4.3.2025.
Superstars Seen Showing up.
Rhea Ripley. Iyo Sky. Bianca Belair. American Made, and a pissed off Cm punk were seen showing up to the venue.
Cm Punk Segment.
Punk was given the walk through treatment, and my God he was pissed off. I loved this. He gave us a treat. A 3 minute anger fest, that was a visceral assault on my senses. He laid waste to The Rock, and delivered hate filled barbs at John Cena. He then directed his anger at Seth Rollins, he mentioned Becky Lynch's name, and just like that it was on. Seth came out, and both men had a fiiiiiigggggghhhht. They thought across the arena and the ringside area. Security had to pull them apart. This would act as an episode long storythread, that pissed off Adam Pearce to the point that he's booked both men in a Steel cage next week, when WWE goes to Madison Square Garden. This. Was an excellent way to start the show.
The Judgement Day Segment.
It's not all good in The Judgement Day hood. Bron Breakker wrecked all of them later on.
Gunther vs Otis.
Gunther, beat otis in a decent TV Match. Gunthers promo beforehand, dealt with the issues of bodyshaming, and humiliation in the only way WWE know how to, with the subtlety of a sledgehammer. Bodyshaming isn't big or cool, so don't do it. Jey Uso saved Otis, and thanked him later on.
Karrion Kross And AJ Styles Segment.
Karrion Kross is on the wind up, and AJ Styles was his victim. Next Week AJ is going to call out Logan Paul.
Ivy Nile vs Lyra Valkyria WWE Womens Intercontinental Championship.
I'm not sure what to make of this. The Match was wrestled to the sound of Crickets. The in-ring work was well performed, but in the early going you could clearly hear some fans boo them, and to me this was a bit off putting. Lyra retained. I don't know what else to say.
Ludwig Kaiser Segment.
I hated this. His promo was a poorly scripted waste of time, and his fight with Penta, made the latter look like that toy that gets left at the bottom of the toy box.
Bianca Belair Segment.
I think Bianca knows more than what she's letting on. I think she's giving us her best Lady Gaga Impersonation.
Chad Gable Segment.
Chad Gable is on a Lucha hunt, and he was seen walking down some poorly lit green screen back alleys, and met with a mysterious Sharman, who gave him a box. We didn't get to see what was in the box. This had me screaming like Brad Pitt. What's in the box.
American Made vs The War Raiders WWE Tag Team Championship.
This looked a bit messy, from the start to finish, but as soon as those issues were sorted out, this was very watchable. The War Raiders retained.
LWO Segment.
The LWO did there best Braveheart impersonation, when they called out The New Day. They may take their lives, but they won't take their freedom.
Rhea Ripley vs Iyo Sky WWE Womens Championship.
This. Was. A fantastic main event. From the outset. Iyo and Rhea, have great chemistry, and it was showcased perfectly here. The in-ring work was solid, and it blended in well with the flow of the Match. However Rhea was the creator of her own downfall. She went to give Iyo a riptide from the top rope, but Iyo reversed this with a hurricanrana, and hit her with an over the moonsault to get the win, and become the new WWE Womens Champion, and this all stemmed from Bianca Belair sittting at ringside, and getting involved causing the finish. The question around who she's going to face at the show of shows, will be answered in the coming weeks. My money is on a threeway at Mania.
Overview Of Monday Night Raw.
Even though there was some blips in this weeks edition of WWE's flagship show. I did have fun watching it. The breathing space of how Elimination Chamber ended was needed to be given, and this helped the episode breathe, as the in-ring work went from good to great.
This weeks Monday Night Raw is a solid 8/10.
