My Top Favourite 5 UFC TUF Coaches.
Intro.
What does it mean to be TUF? This was the same question that me and the UFC have asked over the years, there's the meaning of being there for your family, and then there's having the heart of a fighting champion. The UFC has been great over the years when it comes to cherry picking talent to go onto it's flagship show, and when it comes to the coaches that are picked, well sometimes they can be more entertaining than the fighters, here are a few of my faves.
5. Tito Ortiz.
Look. I love a good rivalry, and this man whilst on the show has had two, whilst in his coaching roles. Ken Shamrock season 3, and his old mate and longtime nemesis Chuck Liddell in season 11. I love both of seasons, and Tito's attitude and all round ability to stir the fighting pot always had feeling entertained.
4. Connor Mcgreggor.
I know that Connor is persona non grata at the moment due to legal reasons, as a coach on the Ultimate Fighter, he was a mixbag, his fighters may not have shone bright, but as an antagonistic entertainer. Mcgreggor was gold, from the time when he wound up Urijah Faber, to his back and forth shenanigans against Michael Chandler, as a coach Mcreggor was always worth the craic.
3. Quinton Rampage Jackson.
This guy was a terrible coach, but my god he was funny to watch. I can hear it now. Yo Rashad don't say nothing to me.
2. Michael Bisping.
My favourite seasons of The Ultimate Fighter were coached by this guy. Season 9 was UK vs USA in which he was pitted up against Dan Henderson, and so forth let the games begin, from both of Bispings guys in both of their weight classes becoming members of the at the time stacked UFC Lightweight, and Welterweight divisions, and in his second ago around he was paired against Jason Mayhem Miller, and this is by far my favourite my season of the show, their back and verbal, and near physical fights were hilarious. Bisping would then beat Mayhem in the coaches fight in the season finale, oh and another one of Bispings fighters won in the finale. Just saying.
1 Chuck Liddell.
This man is god, his time on this show as a coach needs to be studied in MMA Gyms. His coaching methods alongside his legendary coach John Hackleman, guided season 10's Court Mcgee to the main prize on the show, and on the 1st season of the show, saw 2 of his fighters join the UFC in different weight classes. Chuck was the man back in the day.
