Aew Dynamite Review 13.6. 2024

Intro

With WWE's Clash At The Castle, and. Aew, and. NJPW Forbidden Door, all coming up this month, it feels like both North American Company's, are making us fans feel like the prettiest girls at the dance, by giving uu, all of this great Wrestling to consume, this is why I love the summertime as a wrestling fan, because like Christmas, and. Mania season, their's just something special about this time of year.

Swerve Strickland Segment

I liked all of this, from. Swerve's boxing terminology, to him not wasting anytime and calling out. Will Osperay. All of Wills matches last year were epic and  great, ( except the Jericho match at Wembley ) and. Swerve acknowledged that, by calling Will an assasin, but if he wants to beat him for his belt, then he will have to aim harder, because. Swerve is a killer, and Will Isn't, he said that he respects him for being a fighting Champion, unlike. The Elite, who made their unwanted pressents felt. Matt Jackson took the mic after Okada nearly wet himself with laughter, and asked. Swerve if he would be on their side, at. Blood And Guts, after they ran down all of their achievements, they tried to buy Swerve with gifts, a pair of their new shoes, but, our Champion was having none of it, and chucked them into the fans, to the delight of a guy sitting in the front row, whilst also insulting Matt Jacksons. Dustin Rhodes vs Jack Perry TNT Championship Qualifier 

This. Was. A bloodsoaked battle, that I had fun watching, at 7.15am here in the UK. Dustin got busted open the hardway on concrete, which I think limited his moveset, but it made sense to the story. Perry called a shot to Kenny Omega, that. Dustin managed to put a stop to, but it was Dustins never say die attitude that became his downfall, after he took another ddt on the concrete, this was a bitter end to a good match, when Perry put him away with a Knee. I. Really liked this, sadly I don't think were going to be seeing much more of Dustin, because I think he's nearing retirement, and with his contract coming up at the end of the year. I think this could be a good time to ride off into the sunset. From personal demons, to becoming a shining beacon in the industry. Godspeed Dustin Rhodes, there will never be another you.

6 man Tag Match

Kyle Fletcher. Roderick Strong, and Konosuke Takeshista, beat. Orange Cassidy. Mark Briscoe, and. Kyle O'reilly in a fun solid outing. The in ring work had a great feel to it, because the longer it went, the better it got, this would be a running theme throughout the broadcast.

Rush vs Deonn Rush

Rush, beat. Deonn Rush in a standard tv match, but it was the aftermath that stole the moment. Rush was about to commint murder on live tv, that was until MJF came out, the two had a brawl, that went everywhere, from the fans, to the backstage area. I loved this, also am I the only person who got real Hal, from. Malcolm In The Middle vibes from this, you when in the second season of the show, there was an episode in which he had random fights with some guy, just me then, oh well. Sorry I got the match, and segment upside down.

Shingo Tagagi

Shingo is coming to Aew, and he's entering the Owen Hart Tournament. Ok this is going to be good.

Premier Athletes vs Samoa Joe and Hook

Ok. I pissed myself laughing at this, because my guys Hook, and. Samoa Joe, took these fools out, in a match that has revived my faith in the human spirit, because these guys took the fight for crisp lovers everywhere, justice people it's a real thing. Shibata as a cameraman is just genius. Smart Mark Sterling was taken out by shibata, my guys won with a red rum.

Mercedes Mone vs Veuxis TBS Championship Match

Mercedes Mone retained her TBS Championship against. Veuxis. In a decent tv match.

Toni Storm Segment

Marieh May informed her adoptive mum, that Mina Shirikawa will be at Dynamite next week, for a contract signing, this should be interesting. Her promo beforehand was interesting.

TV Time With The Learning Tree Chris Jericho

Even though i'm not the biggest fan of Chris Jericho nowadays, this was actually not bad, it was poor. Big Bill brought out his mentor Chris Jericho, all Jericho did was speak a load of bollocks about corn, and not the good Korn that I like. His guests were Private Party, and this fell apart quickly, and never recovered. Chris tried to teach them how to climb the top rope, like the smug p**** that he's portraying, this fell apart, and ended in a brawl. I wasn't a fan of this at all.

The Bang Bang Gang Segment

The Gunns, and. Juice Robinson, called out. The House Of Black.

Daniel Garcia vs Nick Commorotto

Daniel Garcia, beat. The Thing from the Fantastic Four, whilst. Will Osperay, and. MJF watched on from backstage. Renee Paquette Interviewed Will afterwards, she had her working shoes on tonight.

Will Osperay vs Rey Fenix Aew International Championship

What can I say about this match, other than. This. Was. Sensational. I could sit here and go through this, beat by beat. But it wouldn't do it justice. Swerve sat at ringside, and Will handed him the contract for the Championship match, the chant of. This. Is. Awesome, started before the match could begin, and what transpired was a contrast of styles, that was great to see, This indeed was a steller main event. Will retained his belt, and had a fantastic face off with Swerve, this was turned up to a 100 when. Swerves belt accidentally ended up in Wills hands. Swerve Whispered in his ear, that if they weren't friends, he would end anyone's life if they do that to him. A great match, with a flawless conclusion, and I loved it.

Overview Of Aew Dynamite

This. To. Me is Aew at its best, good to great matches, being backed up with some solid promo work, and as Tony Khan continues to spin two PPV Plates, at the same time, I get the feeling that his little train that can, is getting back to its roots, and I'm liking what I'm seeing.

This Weeks Dynamite is a solid 9/10.
