WWE Mondy Night Raw Review
Intro
Ok guys. I have to start with an apology. I was unable to do any reviews this past weekend. Over the past few weeks I have been feeling burntout, this is due to my day job, and the fact that i've been self publishing my own work for the past six months, and this weekend it all caught up with me, so I decided to take some time for myself. I did watch Smackdown, and. Clash At The Castle, and I thought they were both solid shows, and on the subject of. Clash At The Castle, lets get started.
Drew Mcintyre shows up
A pissed off Scotsman was seen showing up to the arena. Hhhmm I wonder if Drew is a juggallo.
Seth Rollins is back
The started off properly with the return off Seth Rollins. Seth came out looking like he was dressed as criminal drug lord, mixed in with the man from Delmonte. The fans were well up for this, he embraced the fans as they chanted his theme song, and. Seth welcomed us to Monday Night Rollins. He wasted no time in telling the fans, that he wants back, the belt that he made famous, it was at this point, that he started to notice the Money In The Bank Briefcases, hanging over the ring. He said that he is very familiar with how Money In The Bank works, and I have to say the prospect of him winning, doesn't feel me with excitement, but. I love this man. Seth Is one of favourites in modern day WWE. Damien Priest Came out, and the pair had a great promo dual, inwhich both men delved into their history, from forming groups, cashing in Money In The Bank Briefcases, and becoming champions, just one thing though lads, you forgot to mention that you're both ROH Alumni's, as. Punishment Martinez, and. Tyler Black, respectively. Priest then challenged Seth to a Match at Money In The Bank, for his World Heavyweight Championship. The Judgement Day, and the ever loving story of the mullet chaser, would be an episode long story. Human Oven Stay away from the women with your vest. This would later on piss off Priest. I'm starting to get real Mrs Krobopple vibes from the mullet chaser. I loved the segment before hand.
Chad Gable vs Braun Strowman
Chad Gable was seen goin into the office of Adam Pearce, and he acted like a spoilt child, blaming everyone for his failures and not himself, he blamed his Alpha Academy faction, and asked Pearce for a match against anyone, he would later on get decimated by Braun Strowman, this would act as the final straw for his faction, because they left after he verbally, and, physically berrated them. Otis. Tazawa, and. Maxxine would later leave him. Good on you three for standing up for what you believe in. I think Chad will get his revenge, by winning the Money In The Bank, and cashing it in, which is something that Otis never did.
Iyo Sky vs Velina Vega vs Kiana James Money In The Bank Qualifier
Iyo Sky, beat. Velina Vega, and. Kiana James, in a solid three way match. Liv Morgan came out wearing the Human Ovens war vest, and my god she's laying it on thick isn't she. When The Human Oven tried to get it back later on. It felt like Mrs Krobopple teasing Aerosmiths drummer, well that's the vibes I got from this all show long.
Sami Zayn Segment
I liked all of this, even if it did drag on a bit. Sami came out, and he was fired, as he told the fans that he's still our Intercontinental Championship. He told the fans that he's done with chad Gable, and so his faction should give him a wide birth, and from now on, he's going to defend against anyone, and everyone. Bron Breakker then came out, and he laid out his intentions for him wanting Sami's belt, because sami is next in line to get smashed. Sheamus then came out, and all of a sudden, this turned into a promotrain. Sheamus and Bron, had a mini promo dual, within the segment, which Sami stood in the centre of, and told them that he's going to have a word with Adam Pearce, and see if he can get them booked in a match later on. He followed through on this, and. Sheamus, and Bron would have a match later on, and it ended in a dq, thanks to Ludwig Kaiser getting involved. Yeah, the match itself wasn't great.
Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre
Our new womens Tag Team Champions, were backstage being interviewed by Jackie Redmond, and over came. Shayna Baszler, and. Zoey Stark, who said that when the time is right, they want a shot at the belts. Basically they acted like schoolyard bullies, keen to piss on someones chips.
Dragon Lee vs Carlito
Ok. I don't know what to make of this match, other than it made question my life choices. It was a Shenanigans filled waste of time. Carlito got the win, and if i'm being honest. I don't care.
Drew Mcintyre segment
As I started to unfold. I couldn't help but think, there was an air of the unpredictble to this segment. And I was right. Because. Drew quit, no words no nothing, he just walked out. HHH tried to talk to him, but failed. Adam Pearce tried to console him but failed, the walk through shot was great, as the chant of Cm Punk started to fade in the arena. Drew walked out into the night. I think this is a way to write him off tv, for personal reasons.
Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane vs Katana Chance and Kayden Karter
Kayden Karter, and. Katana Chance, beat. Damage Ctrl in a flat tv match, thanks to. lyra Valkyria. I wasn't sold on this match at all.
Jey Uso vs Rey Mysterio vs Finn Balor MITB Qualifier
I liked all of this. The Physicality that was on display was great, and even though there was some shenanigans, i didn't ruin my enjoyment of what i was watching. Jey got the win with a splash. He celebrated with the fans, and just when the lights on the fans phones turned on, the arena lights went out, and what happened afterwards, was nothing short of captivating. Brays door opened up, and a creepy woman crawled out onto the stage, she stood up, and pointed were the camera should go. And what was caught on film, was the after effect of carnage, the backstage production area was decimated, bodies laid on the floor, and. Chad Gable was seen laid out, with blood coming out of his head. Each Member showed themselves, and then in he walked. Uncle Howdy, even though there was only 5 members shown on stage. I think the sixth member is Bray Wyatts legacy, the lantern was blown as the words. Were here, echoed around the arena, and world. WWE need to heed with caution, as their is a lot riding on this. I have made it known, that I wasn't a fan of the qr codes, the second time around, because I feel, that if you do something once, then you should try something new, when coming up with a reinvention, but when there's someones legacy involved, caution should be a key word. I hope WWE gets this right going forward, because. The Wyatt Sicks are here, and life is going to get interesting, on Monday nights.
Overview Of Monday Night Raw
This. Was. A news filled episode of weekly tv, from. Drew quiting live on air, the return of Seth Rollins, and of course the debut of The Wyatt Sick, however the in ring action, fell a bit by the wayside, ranging from good to average. Yes, this was a news worthy episode of Raw, but at what cost?
This weeks Monday Night Raw, is a solid 7/10.
